ARE NIGERIAN POLITICIANS ROMAN GLADIATORS?

Call it media hype, acronym, moniker or innuendo, Nigerian politicians are NOT and should no longer be addressed as gladiators who are prepared to perish or survive during campaigns for transient offices!

The engagement period constitutionally allotted to each office from presidency to councillorship is four years. 

A second tenure of another period is neither guaranteed nor compulsory!

Peradventure a candidate wished to prove to other contenders he could revolutionize the system with superior ideology in four years, a consensus agreement could be brokered!

ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS (APC) ADVERTORIAL GLADIATORS!

ARISE TV, one of the electronic stations of repute in the last decade has been contracted by the ruling party to televise to Nigerian Electorate that the 2027 General Elections (especially the Presidential), would be “do-or-die” and bloody just like the 2007 Edition supervised by the old retired army general Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo, still alive but yet to pay for his crimes!

 President Bola Tinubu who boasts of not less than 32 APC Governors of the 36 States plus the Federal Capital Territory (FCT),  has funded an AI-generated advertorial which is reminiscent of the ancient, uncivilized barbaric Roman  Empire which only granted freedom to prisoners through brutal contests in survival of the fittest “circus games” of bloodshed! 

Kings, Queens, Emperors, their wives, royalties including eminent and dignified citizens of the society were usually invited to embrace the spectacle of blood bath between the unfortunate prisoners whose defense depended on prowess and possibly, luck!

On some occasions, mortal combats with wild animals, lions, tigers, cheetahs etc, were introduced when these hapless prisoners with or without weapons, depending on the mood of the sadistic Emperor must fight or die!

AS AT THE TIME OF THIS PUBLICATION SURVIVOR GLADIATORS IN THE TRIPOD COMBAT OF TINUBU’S BLOOD GAME ARE HIS PARTY, APC AND THE MAJOR OPPOSITIONS – ADC & PDP – CLAD AS ROMAN GLADIATORS AND ARMED WITH BATTLE SWORDS DETERMINED TO KILL OR BE KILLED! 

AND LITTERED AROUND THEM ARE SEVERAL SWORDS OF FALLEN GLADIATORS – A VERY REPULSIVE SCENARIO TO BEHOLD!

WE are very disappointed that Arise TV News is still airing the very detestable advertorial and may possibly continue until the 14th April 2026, when the last CONVENTION - OF THE AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (ADC), would be held!

 AFRICAN INDEPENDENT TELEVISION (AIT), between 2014-2015, played similar despicable role on behalf of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), against  late President Muhammadu Buhari, who was touted as the “ruthless” Roman Military General JULIUS CAESAR who between 58 and 50 BC, brought the vast region of France and Belgium under Roman control.

 He also conducted the first Roman invasions of Britain and initiated a civil war that allowed him to become dictator.

PALM SUNDAY MASSACRE OF 40 INNOCENT SOULS IN PLATEAU; 13 BUTCHERING OF WEDDING GUESTS IN KADUNA ON THE FOLLOWING DAY AND BARBARIC KILLINGS OF INNOCENT NIGERIANS IN ZAMFARA STATES WHILE TINUBU AND HIS GANG OF 31 GOVERNORS, CELEBRATED NATIONAL PARTY DELEGATES CONVENTIONS FROM 28TH – 29TH MARCH 2026!

• And whereas Governor Caleb Muftang joined APC for FEDERAL PROTECTION! He would have addressed his aggrieved subjects through the window of an ARMORED TANK if they had not forced him to disembark!

• On Good Friday – 7-Days after all disasters had occurred, Alhaji Tinubu showed up at the JOS AIRPORT to “commiserate” with some selected survivors without venturing to the scene of the dastard crime. He spent less than ONE HOUR and departed!

• And whereas Jos Township was only 40- minute drive!

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL CRIMES REPORT OF TINUBU’S ADMINISTRATION.                 

 

Amnesty International (AI) Nigeria has frequently criticized the administration of Alhaji Bola Tinubu, for failing to protect citizens from escalating insecurity and of violating human rights through the suppression of dissenting voices.

Reports from the organization, particularly from 2024 to early 2026, highlight a significant rise in killings and abductions by armed groups, along with a crackdown on peaceful protests.

In spite of glaring escalating insecurity and wide-spread mass killings within the first two years of the Tinubu administration (May 2023 – May 2025), at least 10,217 people were killed and 672 villages sacked across various states, particularly in Benue, Plateau, and Zamfara.

The organization described the security crisis as a “monumental failure” in the government’s duty to protect lives, with bandits operating with high levels of impunity.

School children, women and worshipers were major targets of continued mass abductions, since government’s security measures did not exist; instead, the government resisted mass protests and dissenting voices!

AI condemned the government’s violent response to the August 2024 #EndBadGovernance protests, which resulted in at least 24 deaths, numerous arrests, and the detention of minors for treasonable felony!

Attacks on Civil Society and Media was also highlighted – especially the unlawful invasion of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) office by the Department of State Services (DSS) and warned against the harassment of journalists and activists.

In respect of Presidential Pardons of October 2025, Amnesty criticized President Tinubu for pardoning 175 individuals, some of whom were convicted of human rights crimes, stating it undermines the rule of law and denies justice to victims.

However, government and one of its agencies, National Counter-Terrorism Center (NCTC), dismissed all reports, describing them as “misleading” and “inaccurate” while the All Progressives Congress (APC) accused Amnesty International of attempting to “stoke internal conflict” and advised them to give the “young government time to work things out”.

However AI insisted that there had been a consistent pattern of high-level criminality throughout 2024, 2025, and into early 2026 – resulting in the abduction of 166 worshippers which must be investigated!

For instance, AI Nigeria insisted that those abducted on Sunday 18th January 2026 and  yet to be rescued by law-enforcement agents included minors and pregnant women during worship, which  demonstrated, once again, the utter disregard for human lives in Nigeria by the ruling APC Administration!

WILL BOLA TINUBU GET AWAY WITH ALL THESE ATROCITIES AND CRIMES?

One-House Parliamentary System of Government is achievable within the next Six Months if all GENUINE PATRIOTS come together and demand for a REFERENDUM!
