ZION B-BC NEWSLETTER. [ A Publication of the Zion Faith Bible-Believing Church, Kpeyegyi, Abuja.] Vol.29. 02-03-14. SOCIAL INJUSTICE, BOKO HARAM TERRORRISM, JONATHAN’S ROLE AND DIVINE SOLUTION! If at a tender age, a child lost the parental obligation to be instructed to comprehend the benefits of good morals and also uneducated to appreciate the necessity for human societies and institutions to develop, progress and dwell in unity, peace and harmony, that child is deemed to have been robbed of the basic foundation of godly living. The divine instruction is for parents to train or dedicate children to proper and acceptable societal norms, so that when they mature in age, would not turn from such vital basic education.[ Read, Proverbs. 22: 6]. In addition, it is also mandatory for good governments, to provide at least free, qualitative and compulsory primary and secondary education for the up-coming generation of youths in order to avoid restiveness and ensure stability and success in administration. The World Day for Social Injustice was marked on Thursday 20 February, 2014 in Nigeria, to remind leaders and all people in position of authority of the urgent need to ensure social justice in all facets of life. We find this acknowledgement by Civil Society Groups,[CSG], Non Governmental Organisations[NGO] and governments of the federation as a welcome development in view of the escalating brutality of the Boko Haram insurgency, which has taken a very frightening dimension in the incessant cold blooded murder of innocent school children in the North Eastern Geo-Political Zone. This terrorist group, embarked on a new strategy of killing school children in June 2013 and have continued to date as a way of saying, “….if we hadn’t the opportunity of education, they should not!” Twice in June last year, these insurgents invaded boarding schools in Bornu State, murdered several school children in their sleep and on Tuesday 25 February 2014, besieged, yet, another boarding school in Yobe State and killed about 50 innocent secondary school students…. in all, over 100 souls have met untimely deaths! What do we, make of this development vis-à-vis the issue of social injustice in NIGERIA? First, we must agree that social injustices like, lack of the basic necessities of life, food, clothing, shelter, good basic education, the unacceptable situations of poverty, human degradation in all forms, tribalism, nepotism, marginalisation, exploitation and insecurity are all MAN MADE! World leaders, especially the politicians, have over the years mortgaged their consciences for the ‘spoils of office’ and to the detriment of the welfare of their citizens, have looted the commonwealth and have impoverished the masses of their various nations through defective and masses unfriendly policies! Nigeria’s record of bad governance stinks to high heavens. From 1960 to date, it has been the same story of corruption in high and low places of government with the unbeatable record of maintaining the1st (negative) position in the annual Transparency International analysis and indices in respect of probity and equity, especially now that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation [NNPC], has raised the STAKES with more of unremitted BILLIONS of United States Dollars into the Federation Account! Fresh revelations as at Wednesday, 26 February,2014, at the investigative hearing probing the allegation that Nigeria lost N98.3Billion to NNPC in exchange rates, compared to Central Bank of Nigeria, [CBN], official exchange rate between, 2009-2011, by the House of Representatives Joint Committees on Petroleum Resources, Upstream Petroleum Resources, Downstream and Justice, also shows that apart from the outstanding, Malam Sanusi’s allegation of the ‘unremitted or missing’ $20Billion, the Corporation also connived with Swiss Firms to defraud Nigeria of another $6.8Billion US Dollars! It was also disclosed at the hearing that the sum of $22.8Billion was not disclosed by NNPC in its audited financial statements through alternative funding arrangement with its joint venture partners, between 2009 and 2011! PLEASE, DON’T GET CONFUSED WITH ALL THESE FIGURES, GOD WILL RECOVER ALL STOLEN MONIES BECAUSE THEY BELONG TO HIM AND NOT THE ROGUES! Majority of the Northern Nigeria youths, from time immemorial, were tutored in Arabic and Islamic religious education, customs and tradition before the advent of British Colonization and Western Education; an antecedent that grossly limited their interest and scope for the pursuit of advanced education and knowledge of world affairs in international norms and best practices. Boko Haram is therefore opposed to Western education which it believes would CORRUPT their Muslim and Islamic ideals but the question is, “Does the demand for an Islamic State warrant the wanton and summary execution of innocent citizens?” This attitude of destruction of lives and properties are contradictory to their ideology of a Jihad for a just and egalitarian society and MUST change now because it is ungodly! The emerging Northern Nigeria politicians have not helped matters in that instead of massively educating their youths, they capitalised on religious antecedents to lure them into employment as body guards to perpetrate political crimes of ballot box snatching, thuggery and all manner of intimidation of opponents, during political campaigns and elections only to dump them when they were no longer useful! Between 1999 and 2007, a period of eight years, the two-term Governor of Bornu State, despoiled the youths in this manner and thus birthed the nucleus of the hydra-headed insurgency that is presently troubling not only that region, but the entire nation! While playing out the script of the PIPER, during the Dinner Party, in commemoration of the Centennial celebrations at the weekend, Federal Minister of Finance, reeled out success story of the Transformation Agenda of her principal between 2011-2013 and claimed economic buoyancy for the country whose 70per cent population dwell in abject poverty and penury and also launched a book of the figments of their imagination through Mr. President to prove quack mathematics! Under the ‘watchful eyes’ of the Finance Minister, NNPC, is destroying Nigeria and Nigerians through massive robbery and looting of crude oil sales that have no accounts or any legitimate financial records. Millions of US Dollars and Nigerian Naira collected daily as proceeds from crude oil sales, disappear into private pockets, with no ‘eye brow’ raised! We are very certain that the JIHADIST tendency of the Boko Haram insurgents, is premised on equity and prudent management of the commonwealth and accountability in government, and they believe that this noble ideal can only be achieved through the establishment of an Islamic Government in Nigeria or a portion of Nigeria where they are domiciled and in majority. Though, myopic in outlook, it is necessary to look at the ideology from a neutral and honest perspective. Let us take SAUDI ARABIA, where there is zero tolerance for corruption in any form, as a case-study. In Saudi Arabia, stealing is totally forbidden because penalties are very stiff. For petty stealing, the offender is publicly flogged and for aggravated stealing, one of a first offender’s arm is amputated on conviction by a SHARIA COURT of competent jurisdiction and if the convict progressed to steal again, the second hand is chopped off! Nigeria is not Saudi Arabia, and because Zamfara and some very few Northern States practice the Sharia law side-by-side with our conventional laws, does not give vent to a holistic demand for a Sharia nation! When an amnesty channel for dialogue with the Boko Haram was initiated by the Federal Government between 2012- 2013, the insurgents bluntly refused financial inducements as bases for cessation of atrocities unlike the case with the Niger Delta militants, which was initiated by the Late President, Umaru Yar’Adua in 2008. To every problem, there is always a godly SOLUTION and having prayed and fasted over this persistent issue of Boko Haram insurgency, we are divinely favoured to prophesy the following solutions: (1).A national day of prayer and fasting for repentance, to be spiritually chosen by Mr. President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan, who must have the holy conviction that only righteousness will exalt NIGERIA and that sin will constitute an albatross and a disgrace to the citizens![ Read Proverbs.14-34; and 2Chronicles.7:14-15]. (2.) Authentic declaration of financial and immovable assets by all civil servants, from Mr. President to the Clerks at the Local Government Areas, be carried out without delay and all excess funds not commensurate with salaries and or allowances, be voluntarily relinquished to government without legal action against the righteous new Nigerians. (2a.) A consensus People’s Account to be christened, THE ZACCHAEUS REHABILITATION ACCOUNT, and backed by an Act of Parliament, be opened with immediate effect to accommodate the voluntary monetary returns and supervised by a committee of nominees from the six geo-political zones.[ Please read, Luke 19:1-10]. (2b.) Another committee of trustees from the zones should be put in charge of all immovable assets to be turned over, to commercialize, manage and turn them into viable ventures that would continue to boost the new account. (2c.) All monies that will accrue to the Zacchaeus Rehabilitation Account, including huge sums to be recovered from NNPC after the FORENSIC AUDITING, will be permanently dedicated to succour, rehabilitate, re-orientate and heal all indigenes, re-build and re-construct the homes and institutions, of our NORTHERN STATES brethren who have been devastated by the Boko Haram insurgency since 2009! (3.) All illegal Federal Government accounts, namely (a) Excess Crude Oil Sales Account and (b) Sovereign Wealth Fund, must be collapsed into the Federation Account, according to constitutional provisions, a LUMP SUM OF FIFTY BILLION UNITED STATES DOLLARS be transferred into the Zacchaeus Rehabilitation Account and all legitimate withdrawals be subjected to due process at all times! IT IS TIME WE BECAME OUR BROTHERS’ KEEPER! Peter once asked the Lord Jesus Christ, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered,” I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times!”[Read Matthew 18:21-22]. Thus saith the LORD,” Gird your loin my son, Goodluck Jonathan, and obey these instructions set before you this day according to their sequence and entirety, through my Prophet in ZION and it shall be well with you all the days of your life. And for you, my children, Abubakar Shekau and Mohammed Yusuf. It’s time to sheath your swords, I am willing to forgive, if you obey me. Nigeria is MINE! She shall remain united! I the LORD have spoken! AMEN.
