THE NIEMOLLERS OF NORTHERN NIGERIA ARE SPEAKING OUT!

Just as the #EndSars-#EndPoliceBrutality youth protesters peacefully and constructively faulted the lingering/persistent/recalcitrant national insecurity situation, drew attention of the Federal Government to the dereliction of its constitutional duties in that direction and successfully negotiated #Five-for-Five agreement, so are bona fide citizens, mostly of the northern extraction are speaking with one voice to President Muhammadu Buhari, Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria: #STOP THE HUMAN SLAUGHTERING BY BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS AND BANDITS OR RESIGN!

These set of Nigerians who are speaking out are neither delusionary, nor hallucinating but are very conscious, sane, and coherent to express the CITIZENS fundamental RIGHTS to life; dignity of human person; fair hearing, private and family life; freedom of thought, conscience and religion; right to freedom of expression and the press; right to peaceful assembly and association; right to freedom of movement; right to freedom from discrimination; right to acquire  and own immovable property anywhere in Nigeria; compulsory acquisition of property; restriction on and derogation from fundamental rights; AND, special jurisdiction of High Court and legal aid WITHOUT LET OR HINDRANCE as stipulated in Chapter IV of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sections 33 – 46!

43 BORNO VILLAGE RICE FARMERS SLAUGHTERED/DECAPITATED BY BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS!

Families of Zabarmari slain rice farmers of Jere LGA, Bornu State and indeed the entire citizens of Nigeria, still mourn the gruesome murder on Saturday, 28th November, 2020, of the hapless and innocent citizens who in the process of harvesting were mercilessly hacked down by those terrorists still walking free and gloating over their heinous crime!

Is it not very glaring now that it is only in Nigeria that such dastard crimes could be committed with impunity and government remains incapable to redress the situation?

Is it not one crime too many in over 11 years of insurgency/terrorism in Nigeria?

Reliable statistics show that in the month of September 2020, alone, over 1,550 citizens were killed in banditry/terrorists attacks across the nation and the overstretched security agents have become nonplussed, confused, disoriented because their best seems not good enough!

Previous startling statistics of massive casualties of eleven years of Boko Haram terrorism in Nigeria have shown that at least not less than five million people had been mercilessly killed on all sides in two administrations of ex-president Ebele Jonathan/Muhammadu Buhari between 2009-2020!

Were those unfortunate victims protected by the government or were they not entitled to fundamental human rights?

RESCUE OF AMERICAN HOSTAGE IN NIGERIA!

An American citizen kidnapped in a Niger village close to Nigerian border in October, 2020, was rescued by US Special Forces in Nigeria without much hassles unlike what obtains here in this part of the world where abduction has become a booming industry!

WHO WAS NIEMOLLER?
Friedrich Gustav Emil Martin Niemoller (January 1892 – 6th March 1984), was a German theologian and Lutheran pastor, best known for his opposition to the evil Nazi Regime of the 1930s and his famous motivational poem is reproduced b:

“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out –Because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out – Because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me – and there was no one left to speak for me.”

ATROCITIES OF BOKO HARAM BEGAN IN AUGUST 2009!

We were all witnesses to the emergence of a motley Islamic religious group which in its nucleus stage in Maiduguri, Bornu State in 2002, (eighteen years ago), preached a doctrine deliberately intended to incite a religious war in that North East geo-political zone of the secular nation of Nigeria through one Mohammed Yusuf.

Yusuf did not have to look far for disciples because out-of-school street children who daily thronged the government lodge gates for regular free food of “tuwo shinkafa” and for the Friday’s “zakat” of new five naira notes, were readily available; courtesy of ex-Governor Ali Modu Sheriff!

As his religious sect grew and began to cause religious commotion in the state capital, Maiduguri, Yusuf was arrested for violating religious laws, arrested/detained by Nigerian Army personnel and eventually handed over to the Police, who allegedly killed him extra judiciously and thereby incurred the wrath of his disciples’ who vowed to avenge his death at the cost of their own lives!

At the early stages of the sect’s attacks on government institutions – especially Police/Army infrastructures/installations/personnel – not excluding Christian worship centre suicide bombings of worshippers!

However, Maiduguri indigenes/residents, shielded and prevented the insurgent arrests by law enforcement agents and also refused to give useful information about their identities until they became the 21st “Frankenstein Monsters”, which now terrorize not only residents of the North East, but of the entire federation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who now bomb Islamic mosques/worshippers at random!

NOW THAT NORTHERN CITIZENS ARE SPEAKING OUT!

First on the list of those now speaking out is the incumbent Governor of Bornu State, Prof. Babagana Zulum, (whose convoy was attacked thrice in recent past), and has now in the interim, set up a state-sponsored Community Defence Corps (CDC), comprising able-bodied youths ready to defend their vulnerable people, following the gruesome slaughter of the 43 Rice Famers by Boko Haram terrorists, and determined to arm them to the teeth! He has also called on Federal Government to quickly engage “Military Contractors, aka. Foreign Mercenaries or Soldiers of Fortune to complement the Nigerian Armed Forces to win the war against Boko Haram once and for all!
Buba Galadima – a one-time very close ally of President Buhari, now an arch political enemy!
His royal highness, the Sultan of Sokoto, who described Northern Nigeria as the most  dangerous place to dwell in Nigeria and other Imams who have reproved the President on the weak security architecture!
Activist Catholic Bishop Matthew Kuka, who has never hidden his displeasure against bad governance!
Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, who consented to the demand by senators for the removal of service chiefs.
Senator Kashim Shettima, erstwhile two-term Governor of Bornu State, who moved the motion that the present crop of Service Chiefs be replaced!
Members of House of Representative who have invited the President to address the nation on the insecurity challenges!
Ex- Governor of Jigawa State Alhaji Sule Lamido, is also breathing fire and brimstone over demand for immediate resignation of Mr. President!
Director, Publicity and Advocacy, Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Hakeem Baba Ahmed who insisted that the President could no longer cope with the security challenges and should honourably resign!
The consensus of opinion is that the NORTH gave President Buhari, more votes at the 2015-2019 elections than the other FIVE geo-political zones put together and therefore should enjoy greater political/security dividends!

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’S RE-ACTION TO MASSIVE DEMANDS BY NORTHERN CITIZENS FOR BUHARI’S RESIGNATION OVER ZABARMARI FARMERS MASSACRE!

President Spokesperson Shehu Garba has this to say: “.....they (farmers), had no permission to be there.. they did not get military clearance to be on the rice farm when the attack happened...but I am not blaming victims of the massacre for the unfortunate incident.” “Those farmers did not follow military procedures in war zones like North East...”!But it is no longer a hidden fact that for a very long period before Governor Zulum’s administration, farmers in that region normally paid designated fees to farm their lands and also toll fees at all terrorist road blocks!
Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed comments on counter insurgency operation: “Boko Haram is badly degraded and that is why they attacked soft targets”. “Federal Government has been denied access (by foreign countries), to acquire weapons needed to fight the terrorists, without which the country would be at the mercy of terrorists”! How can those statements be reconciled?
Federal Government’s High-powered delegation visited Zarbamari to commiserate with Bornu State Government and victims’ family.*Prior to the last gruesome massacre figure of 68 Zabarmari farmers (according to Abubakar Shekau’s figure, the year 2018 witnessed an escalation of banditry, kidnappings and sundry crimes across the nation as Benue State suffered the loss of 87 citizens who on 1st January, were murdered in their villages by yet to be identified bandits and NBS crime statistics of offences against persons, property and authority (totalling 2,163, in 2017), had not abated ever since!

COGENT QUESTIONS: Constitutionally, can President Buhari RESIGN to placate the people’s demands? YES! Should he resign? NO! What about sacking the Service Chiefs? LONG OVERDUE!

SUGGESTIONS:
The President could still redeem his dwindling fortunes and fading image by honouring the Parliament’s invitation and
Retire all Service Chiefs – including the Inspector General of Police to inject fresh motivational ideas amidst the rank and file for better service delivery.
He should ERADICATE POVERTY through Human Capital Development as elucidated in the one-year-old Security Roadmap Document launched with much enthusiasm in December, 2019.
Completely erase multiple wastages by stopping the RENOVATION of National Assembly (NASS), with N37 billion naira
Begin the process of SHUTTING DOWN THE SENATE & REDUCE MEMBERS OF HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO 74 THROUGH REFERENDUM OR PROVIDE EXECUTIVE SUPPORT TO THE YOUTHS AND ALL PATRIOTIC NIGERIANS TO DO SO! He should also warn SOLDIERS from attempting to stage any coup because it will not work just as de -radicalization of Boko Haram POW has not worked out!!

JUSTICE SALAMI HAS NO MORAL JUSTIFICATION TO INDICT IBRAHIM MAGU!

Without diminishing from facts and figures of successfully prosecuted corruption cases/financial crimes and several breakthroughs of recovered looted treasury funds by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC], from 2015- 2020, it is obvious that President Buhari’s “war against corruption” would have been a mirage!
Ibrahim Magu (now a Commissioner of Police), who was appointed as EFCC’s Chairman by the President in acting capacity on from 9th November 2015, until his suspension on 7th July, 2020, worked with his team of detectives to save the dwindling image of the outfit which was established in 2003, by ex-President Aremu Obasanjo to witch-hunt his assumed political enemies!

Magu did not waste time to ruffle the nest of the so-called untouchable politicians including money launderers through massive arrests and swift arraignments before the law courts where he recorded convictions having conducted thorough/professional investigations!

Ibrahim Magu also successfully prosecuted THREE EX-GOVERNORS and many influential politicians who were convicted and sentenced to various prison terms, according to the law, but the presidential request for the crime buster’s confirmation as substantive chairman was rejected twice by the 8th Senate, headed by ‘Bukola Saraki, who was on trial for corruption charges proffered against him by ICPC, because he (Magu), had stepped on several toes!

MAGU’S EXPECTATION FOR CONFIRMATION FAILED BECAUSE HE REFUSED TO PLAY BALL!
Magu had the unusual privilege of reporting directly to Mr. President throughout his first term and would have gotten his confirmation on a platter of gold in the second term but for the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, who believed that the EFCC Head should report directly and take instructions from him in order to block his access to the president and surreptitiously delay urgent operational activities!

Following several clashes and disagreements between the duo the bubble burst, grapes turned sour and the Minister wielded the big stick ,for out of the blues, 22 allegations of impropriety were brought against the highly professional, devoted and diligent Magu!

He was promptly arrested, detained, suspended and ordered to be investigated by President Buhari, his erstwhile benefactor who was hoodwinked by Malami to inaugurate a seven-man probe panel on 3rd July, 2020, which he (president), charged to investigate all allegations and submit its report within a period of 45 days ( which terminated, 17th August, 2020), but further extended to Friday, 20th November, 2020,  (94 days behind schedule), following a presidential approval for an extension due to volume of work!
Other members of the panel are Mike Ogbizi-(Deputy Inspector General of Police), Hassan Abdullahi-( Department of State Security-DSS), Douglas Ekwueme- (Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit -NFIU), Mallam Shamsudeen- (Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation), Mohammed Abubakar- (Federal Ministry of Justice), Kazeem Atilebi- (Civil Society Organizations).

DID SALAMI’S REPORT INDICT IBRAHIM MAGU?
It is on record that Malami recommended Magu’s removal over allegations of “flagrant abuse of public office, corruption, graft, insubordination and other infractions” in a 22-paragraphed letter addressed to President Buhari which according to Magu’s lawyer were not served on his client by the Panel, contrary to Section 36 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

The Justice Salami’s report, accompanied with about four boxes of exhibits and yet to be made public is being studied by the President who has hinted that no one was too big to be tackled! President Muhammadu Buhari while receiving the investigative report on alleged financial mismanagement at EFCC under the watch of Ibrahim Magu from the retired Justice and President of the Appeal Court, who headed the seven-man probe panel, at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja, was quoted to have said, “No one is too big to tackle.”

The report according to fillers recommended that Magu should be prosecuted over allegations of corruption abuse of office and be sacked while an interim Chairman to fill the position for two years should be sought from other security agencies to head the EFCC!

IBRAHIM MAGU REPLIED TO ALL TWENTY-TWO ALLEGATIONS WITH COMPREHENSIVE/DETAILED/ACCURATE ANALYSIS AND CONCLUDED AS FOLLOWS.
5.0 CONCLUSION
5.1 My Lord and Gentlemen, all my actions are documented and follow the prescribed procedures with necessary approvals. I am innocent. I have served my country to the best of my abilities with all sense of responsibility and integrity.
5.2 The records of achievements to the glory of God and this administration are there for all to see. I respectfully invite the panel to note the Stellar and unprecedented achievements of the EFCC under my watch as the Acting Chairman. A list of some of the achievements is the attached Annexure 1.
5.3 In the context of these achievements, my plea to the panel is to consider these achievements in strengthening my innocence.
5.4 I recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had in a letter sent to the Senate in 2017 through the then Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Babachir Lawal, cleared me of all allegations of corruption and misconduct, based on the report of the current HAGF Abubakar Malami SAN. A copy of the letter is in the custody of the HAGF and the 8th Senate for ease of reference.
5.5 I intend to furnish additional materials on what, in my opinion precipitated these baseless allegations in spite of the stellar achievements on anti-corruption of the President Buhari administration with my modest contributions. This will be forwarded to this distinguished panel as an ADDENDUM.
5.6 My Lord, Gentlemen, please accept my best personal regards and thank you for service to country.

JUSTICE AYO SALAMI WAS ONCE IN A SIMILAR QUAGMIRE LIKE IBRAHIM MAGU!
Going down the memory lane, it is on record that Justice Ayo Salami, as President of the Appeal Court,   was once in Magu’s shoes having been controversially suspended and eventually retired in 2011, under ex President Ebele Jonathan Administration for “disclosing to the media, an attempt by the then Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Aloysius Katsina-Alu, to influence the decision of the Appeal Court, in a Sokoto governorship election matter pending before the court at that time”
A panel headed by Justices Ibrahim Auta, investigated petitions against both Justice Salami and Katsina-Alu and found Salami guilty as charged, because he was said to have lied on oath against the latter and asked to apologize to CJN within seven days from 9th August, 2011, but he instead approached the Federal High Court to challenge the panel’s recommendations!

As the matter awaited adjudication, the National Judicial Council (NJC), hurriedly held an emergency meeting on 18th August, 2011, s in the absence of most of its principal members, suspended Justice Salami and replaced him with Justice Dalhatu Adamu in acting capacity – a very clear act of sub-judice!

In April 2012, the NJC, headed by Justice Dahiru Musdapher, recommended, the re-instatement of Justice Salami, which was not implemented until his compulsory retirement in 2013, by ex-President Jonathan!
But six years after his controversial removal as the President of the Court of Appeal, Ayo Salami in September 2017, was appointed by the NJC as head of its newly established Financial Cases Trial Monitoring Committee (FCTMC), that would closely monitor corruption cases nationwide – a position he held before the recent presidential assignment on allegations against Ibrahim Magu

WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER!
Just as Justice Ayo Salami claimed innocence against all accusations against him in 2011 and was eventually vindicated, recognized and re-instated, so will Ibrahim Magu, whom We on this platform strongly believe has performed faithfully, creditably and diligently in all of his official assignments from 2015 till date, he deserves promotion not condemnation, suspension, rejection or compulsory retirement!
President Buhari should not accept Justice Salami’s Panel recommendation on the EFCC under the watch of Magu because it is not the TRUE PERSPECTIVE of the financial security outfit!
It is very glaring that Mr. Malami was very vindictive in all of his frivolous accusations against Magu who vehemently refused to be a PUPPET under his Ministry, a lap dog or his master’s voice who can be manipulated at the whims and caprices of a very ambitious Malami whose hidden skeletons would sooner or later be exposed to the whole world!

Buhari will NOT run a third term! It is only a matter of very short time that this prophecy would come to pass! “Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you”!

NO MORE STREET PROTEST, TAKE OVER 2023 IN PEACE!

For thirteen consecutive days (8th-20th October, 2020), brand new and well-organized Nigerians youths, held very peaceful street protests across the federation - federal and state capitals – such as had never been witnessed before - with one voice to demand for justice, equity and fairness in the discharge of security obligations to all citizens from whom government derived its power and authority to function!

Bona fide and patriotic Nigerians should give credit to these youths who had and still have good intentions for not embarking the war path (in spite of the fact that they were the aggrieved, traumatized, brutalized, disembowelled), in all of the new political arrangement through the unleashing of cruelty against them by those who should protect them!

Can the citizens easily forget that after about TEN days of consistent peace among the youths in their various locations especially at the Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos and the Unity Fountain, Abuja, and in some Northern State Capitals, “parallel government-sponsored touts” emerged to counter the advocacy of #End Sars, #End Police Brutality, by demanding that the notorious Police outfit should not be disbanded!

INSTITUTIONALLY-SPONSORED HOODLUMS, THUGS AND A CONFUSED MILITARY!

With all the facts available to OFFICE OF THE CITIZENS, and all Information Communication Technology (ICT), collated/documented evidences; videos, bullet pellets, human blood specimens etc, collected especially at Lekki Toll Gate Plaza and other venues of protests, plus international verifiable news reports by CNN (US- based news agency), British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), which are already before the International Criminal Court (ICC), at the Hague, Netherlands, that the so-called hoodlums/thugs who unleashed mayhem were institutionally sponsored, how would the federal government information minister erase all the evidences against his country and “SANCTION” the international news agency/agencies for publishing false reports or fake news?

Did he suddenly forget that the Nigerian Army has officially admitted (after initial denial), that they were present at the Lekki Toll Gate Plaza to disperse the peaceful unarmed protesters and “fired only blank bullets and not live ammunitions” into the air and not at the crowd though it has been alleged and reported that at least 12 or 42 dead bodies of innocent future youth leaders were cleverly carted away by the soldiers to destroy evidence?

“THE LIFE OF THE BODY IS IN THE BLOOD”!

Nigeria has earned for itself the notoriety for being classified as a TERRORIST NATION where human life is NEITHER PRECIOUS NOR SACRED and for this obvious reason, blood-letting has become the order of the day across board! Precious lives are lost daily through senseless killings by terrorists, bandits, local/foreign Fulani cattle herders/rustlers, armed robbers, kidnappers, police/army stray bullets, land disputes, etc, but RIGHTEOUS GOVERNMENT would erase such calamity!

ROOT CAUSES OF POVERTY IN NIGERIA!

Massive and unbridled institutional corruption of 60 years!
Deliberate and non-incentive posture toward education policy which annually voted between 3-6% of annual budget instead of UNESCO recommendation of 26%
Over 13million of uneducated roaming children of school age are yet to be taken off streets!
Social injustice, gender discrimination, tribalism nepotism, religious bigotry, acrimony, bias, etc.
Lack of good health care facilities beyond the reach of the “ordinary man” and lack of regular access to food potable water!
Unemployment of able-bodied youths, lack of jobs opportunities with living wages!
Double digit inflation of 14.8% announced by NBS, coupled two consecutive Negative in Q2 and Q3 have ushered in a new Economic Recession in the current Q4 of October-December 2020!
Politics of self aggrandizement which cared less for its citizens condition of lack of social amenities/welfare programmes, redirecting funds to building elephant projects that become moribund infrastructures instead of empowering its Human Capital Assets!
Election of semi-illiterates and dullards into political offices through selling and buying of votes of poverty-stricken electorate by money bags!
In spite of the fact that Nigeria has the highest GDP in Africa, over 90% of the population dwell in abject poverty!
Absence of strong institutions and economic infrastructures that could stand the test of time!
Incessant warfare/conflicts, brigandage, banditry, insurgency, terrorism resulting in continuous destruction of lives and properties!
Environment calamities like storms, floods, wild fires global warming etc, always aggravated poverty level of victims of such calamity who dwell in poor rickety habitations!

WHEN BUHARI BECAME THE NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN!

His manifesto of a three-prong agenda promised:
Assurance of adequate and very tight security against all forms of insurgency, terrorism, vandalism, etc, for citizens to dwell in safety.
War against corruption in all its ramifications and
Re-jigging of the Economy to boost/local/foreign investments portfolios and encouraging “ease of doing business” and eradication of poverty!

DID THE PRESIDENT PERFORM WELL IN ALL AREAS OF PROMISES TO THE CITIZENS?

In all fairness, he performed fairly well in his first term, considering all variables of PDP’s hand over of an almost empty treasury after 16 years of maladministration from 1999-2015; a looming/threatening economic recession in view of the squandermania attitude of past administration which put all the monies in the politicians pockets instead of the Citizens’ Social Contract Programmes; and the terrorists occupation of 17 Local Government Areas in Bornu State, North East Nigeria!

Slowly but steadily, President Buhari and his economic management team headed by the Vice,  were able to confront the ailing economy headlong and within the third/fourth quarters of the 2017 Budget year, overcame the recession and got the economy back on steam and on its feet! He also recovered billions of stolen government funds in both local and foreign currencies through the EFCC, individual restitution, voluntary refunds and plea bargains!

In the Security sector, he pursued, overtook and recovered all the 17 Local Government Areas, where Boko Haram terrorists flags had hither flown, routed their rank and file and captured several Prisoners of War (POWs)!
But in this second term it seems that the Sheriff has aged and gone to bed; entrusted the job in the hands of his KITCHEN CABINET, who must perform and report to his NEW Chief of Staff whom he has moreover placed above his cerebral Vice, Professor ‘Yemi Osinbajo, (SAN), who had proved on several occasions (when he was not sidelined), that he was more equal to TASK OF GOVERNANCE, than all of them put together!

OLIGARCHY IS ANATHEMA TO NIGERIA’S DEMOCRACY!

“Oligarchy is the government of a few, by a few for the benefit of a few”, a system of administration currently romanced by APC, which concentrates on few political allies at the expense of the larger population has earned Nigeria the odious title of poverty capital of the world!  As a consuming economy, the President finds it difficult to initiate aggressive drive to re-engineer socio-economic projects!
Revolutionary diversification to agriculture from Petrol (now selling at $48 dollars), is still experiencing teething ache due insecurity through incessant banditry attacks on farmers!
Nigerians are tired of President’s Buhari’s repetitive propaganda of “lifting TEN MILLION Nigerians out of poverty In Ten Years” (i.e. 2019-2029), when APC would have long be forgotten, while he retires to his home State in Katsina from 29th May, 2023, and the nation’s  population almost doubled!

President Buhari should get cracking by disengaging himself from surrogates, boot-lickers and charlatans with whom he had surrounded himself since 2015 and have KILLED THE ARMY GENERAL’S SPIRIT with which he came on board five years ago (following three failed attempts – 2003, 2007, 2011), to complete the JOB of caring and fighting for the welfare of the POOR (TALAKAWAS), having been ousted as head of state in a military coup in 1985!

IT’S TIME FOR THE YOUTHS TO GET READY FOR LEADERSHIP POSITIONS IN 2023!

Because institutional WASTAGES have become the bane of socio-economic development and has deepened through the game of “you rub my back and I rub your back” (a norm), between the Executive and the Legislative, patriotic Youths should get ready to monitor the TREASURY SINGLE ACCOUNT from now on!

In the FIVE years of APC Administration, the Executive  regularly forwarded FOREIGN LOAN REQUESTS to the latter for un-delayed attention and vice versa, the Legislative forwarded BILLS for the purchase of luxury automobiles (2015 and 2019), costing 14.14 billion naira and also N37billion naira for the Renovation of the National Assembly Complex (NASS), outside of their humongous salaries, monthly working allowances of N 3.8million per month and not excluding the SCAM of unexecuted annual Constituency Projects, to which billions of naira are allocated through BUDGET PADDING!
Nigeria’s total foreign and domestic DEBT now stands at 31.01 trillion naira and the Minister for Finance, Budget and National Planning, announced last week that the Federal Government was poised to BORROW ANOTHER LOAN OF USD$ 750 million from the World Bank to cushion the effects of Covid-19 Pandemic on the 36 States of the Federation!  

YOUTHS SHOULD SUPPORT ADVOCACY FOR UNICAMERAL LEGISLATURE FROM 2023!

We on this platform have consistently advocated that President Buhari should, without further delay call for a REFERENDUM TO SHUT DOWN THE SENATE AND REDUCE THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MEMBERS FROM 360 TO 74!
Nigeria can now boast of a band of articulate, empowered, resourceful, unified, cohesive, focussed, ebullient, bonded and freshly branded YOUTHS rising from the ashes of 60 years of deliberate neglect, abandonment, disorientation, manipulation and disenfranchisement of all inalienable human rights!   However the equation has changed since the #EndSars, #End Police Brutality Youths Protesters engaged both the Federal/State Governments meaningfully and diplomatically to succeed in getting their Five-For-Five demands accepted and approved! “A stitch in time saves nine!”

WHO ARE ENEMIES OF STATE - #END SARS PROTESTERS OR BUHARI’S CABAL?

Sponsors of the Islamist extremist group Boko Haram have been tried and sentenced to various terms of imprisonment after a Federal Appeals Court in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), upheld their earlier convictions!

They are six Nigerians who were arrested in Dubai in 2017, following a two-year close surveillance during which they were alleged to have transferred a total sum of USD$ 782,000, to Nigeria to benefit the insurgents who had waged war of terror against Nigeria from August 2009 to date, contrary to Article 29, Clause 3 of UAE’s Federal Law No. 7, 2017, in respect of its anti-terrorism law!

Several newspaper reports in Nigeria and abroad confirmed that a court in Abu Dhabi sentenced two of the men to life imprisonment while four were each given ten-year sentence for the crime of money laundering between 2015 and 2016.
However the Nigerian undercover agents who facilitated the transfers of the slush funds to the terrorist group according to the reports are government officials who are still walking free!

CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA FREEZES ACCOUNTS OF #END SARS YOUTH PROTESTERS!
President Buhari’s Administration was applauded for accepting to implement the “Five-For-Five” demands of the Youth protesters but contrary to expectations of Nigerians, the government has made a U-Turn to order CBN to freeze bank accounts of 19 individuals and one public affairs outfit linked to #End Sars agitations with the legal backing of the Federal High Court, Abuja, till January, 2021!

CBN addressed the court’s order to six major Nigerian banks in respect of the accounts annexed to its application as Exhibit A, and all other bank accounts of the defendants/respondents for a period of 180 days pending the outcome of its investigation and inquiry!

Contrary to this fresh violation of the protesters’ right to fair hearing under Section 36 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, government has alleged that “funds in those accounts could be linked to TERRORISTS ACTIVITIES”!

THE HEIGHT OF INSTITUTIONAL SABOTAGE AGAINST PEACEFUL YOUTH PROTESTERS IS MANIFESTING!
Godwin Emefiele, CBN Governor, was alleged to have unilaterally frozen the said accounts before approaching the Court much later for legal backing and the aggrieved youths through their lawyers have petitioned the courts to unfreeze their accounts which were illegally closed!
It is very instructive to note that the CBN neither reported its suspicions of terrorism financing by the protesters to the Police nor the DSS before arriving at its conclusion which exposes the fact that some fifth columnists in the presidency who want Buhari to fail at all costs and have hijacked the peaceful negotiation between the youths and government are bent on blowing it out of proportion that it might fail from the onset!

IS THE PRESIDENT BUHARI AWARE OF THIS TICKING BOMB?
The Lagos Judicial Panel adjourned sitting for one week till 14th November, 2020, as Youth Representatives pulled out in protest over the freezing of accounts by CBN and more of such disruptions are likely to occur across other State Judicial Panels in the coming weeks except there was swift presidential intervention to save an impending chaos which could be very catastrophic!

Mr. Emefiele needed to be reminded that the “Aggressor” in the whole unfolding protests, the violent hijack and aftermath which had left terrible casualties in their trails was no other than the Federal Government’s Police Force which bastardized the system through SARS BRUTALITY of the citizens – especially the already traumatized Youths - who had been victims of institutional torture through the hands of those officers for several decades!

It is very glaring that the CBN Governor and members of his family are officially shielded from the enormous police brutality which virtually became a norm in Nigeria until the 12-day peaceful youth protest [8th-20th, October, 2020], caught the attention of federal government to reverse the ungodly trend without further delay!    
Did he realise that the peaceful protesters were not responsible for the unprecedented rampage and destruction of lives and property; but jobless and hungry hoodlums who took the undue advantage that law enforcement agents failed woefully in their intelligence gathering procedure to identify their dastard strategies of massive lootings and killings?

Has he failed to realise that over 90% of the Nigerian population are very poor, hungry and lack the basic necessities of life because government’s socio-economy emphasis is physical infrastructures [ roads, fly-over bridges, airports, mighty buildings and edifices rather than HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT packaged with abundant health care compliments of primary to tertiary hospitals, free education from primary to tertiary, employment for all able-bodied youths through allocation of acres of farmlands to all families for sure and stable diversification to Agriculture to actualize food sufficiency and security!

Has he not realised that all of the so-called CBN    ANCHOR BORROWERS intervention programmes have proved to be total failure and that it was time to re-strategize and not to ADD INSULT/PEPPER TO NIGERIA’S ALREADY INJURED ECONOMY OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC?

THE 2018 ADVICE OF BILL GATES TO NIGERIAN LEADERS ON BETTER HEALTH AND POVERTY ALLEVIATION!
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has committed over USD $1.6 billion to Nigeria and had also paid off $76 million loan which the country took from Japan to fight against polio with an understanding that it would ensure complete eradication of the childhood disease by achieving more than 80% vaccination coverage. The good news today is that the World Health Organisation [WHO], has declared Nigeria free of the infectious disease!
However, Bill Gates, the richest man in the world was very blunt when he visited in 2018 and expressed disappointment at the lack of accountability in the nation’s approach to the economy and concluded that the drivers could plan and deliver better on its targets that have better chances of yielding more dividends.
While putting his money where his mouth is he said that he was first an investor rather than a philanthropist with bottomless pockets of aid money adding that Nigerian government must make progress and do better!

He also implored Nigerian politicians to focus on HUMAN CAPITAL and its large population; identified the health and education as sectors that Nigerian policy makers have place emphasis in the Economic Recovery Growth Plan [ERGP], to enable full actualization of the nation’s immense potentials.

THE YOUTHS ARE NIGERIA’S GREATEST POTENTIALS!
The President by now needed not be bamboozled by the CABAL OF ASO VILLA any longer in respect of his priority over Nigerian youths who WILL TAKE OVER FROM HIM IN 2023 very peacefully. They are the best materials that would lift Nigeria out of the WOODS and establish a righteous government which every all citizens year for! He should treat them with dignity, love and respect as a form of RESTITUTION in order that he also enjoy divine favour as he coasts towards the departure lounge of murky waters of the Nigerian politics from which he has learnt great lessons of life!

THIS IS NOT A TIME FOR SUBTLE THREATS AGAINST PEACEFUL-YOUTHS, RATHER, IT’S TIME FOR FRUITFUL DIALOGUE!
First, President Buhari should order that all frozen accounts of the patriotic youths be unfrozen immediately to calm all frayed nerves and dispel the notion that government was playing dangerous diplomacy!
Second, he should realize that any delay could trigger another round of civil disobedience than would not be good for the economy which is on a shaky soil of Covid-19 pandemic!
Third, the Academic Staff Union of Universities( ASUU) imbroglio in respect of salary payment mode through  Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS), should be resolved quickly for these vibrant and energetic youths return to the classrooms and resume full studies!
Fourth, the president should remember how these youths voted massively to ensure his second term which PDP and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, were very desperate to rob him off! ONE GOOD TURN DESERVES ANOTHER!

THE CHOICE OF JOE BIDEN IS, “AMERICA FIRST’’!

President Donald Trump was a green horn in American politics in 2016 but he flew a kite called “America First” which caught the attention of a great majority of the electorate who voted overwhelmingly to put him in the White House as the most powerful man in the world!
But that slogan turned out to be a hoax because the out-going president in his four-year tenure did everything that was completely opposite to his gospel of an American dream!

First, he waged a war against immigrants through a blanket ban on existing travel concessions when the nation’s history clearly states that America is a conglomeration of immigrants from virtually all countries of the world!

Secondly, he cancelled the “Obama Care” Health Scheme purposely programmed for the low income groups among the populace to access cheaper medical care!

Thirdly, he pulled out the US from the World Climate Change Forum of world leaders and refused to contribute America’s financial obligation to the world body!

Fourthly, he deliberately polarized the United States by paying greater attention to the Red States (Republican), than the Blue States (Democrats), in the allocation of socio-economic amenities! Etc, etc

Fifthly, Trump pulled out of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), a military alliance between 30 North American and European countries established since 1949, following the end of World War II, to safeguard the Allies freedom and security by political and military means for mutual advantage by claiming that his country did not benefit from the arrangement
Sixth, he condemned his country’s security architecture, the FBI, CIA, POLICE, IMMIGRATION etc, during the probe which investigated his involvement in the Russian Hacking of US Electoral process which gave victory to him in 2016!

US PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION – BIDEN IN, TRUMP OUT!

With all the unfolding drama and narratives of the United States Presidential Election 2020, beginning with *Early Voting across the 50 States in person or by post to mitigate overcrowding due to Covid-19 Pandemic on November 3rd D-Day,

The constitutionality of Election Day Popular Votes and *The credibility of Electoral College Votes of 270 to produce a WINNER, this adopted American System seem to be the most universally problematic and most cumbersome!
BUT could it be conclusive to believe that the election labyrinth process was
infused in view of the aftermath of the 1861-1865 Union War or Civil War which forbade dismemberment of the nation through any form of secession or separatist agenda
the unconstitutional dichotomy between North and South States through political manipulations or
The citizen’s unfriendly political demarcation between Red and Blue States, depending on who was in power, Democrats or Republicans?

Nigerian politicians are always quick to pride the nation’s presidential system as being fashioned after the United States’ but failed to adopt its electoral very difficult journey which was always threatened with legal confrontations by unsportsmanlike competitors when they failed to clinch victory, like what played out when both the popular/electoral college votes favored candidate JOE BIDEN who has been congratulated by most world leaders as the 46th President of the United States!

The incumbent President of the United States, Donald Trump, who is very uncomfortable with the UNFOLDING ELECTORAL COLLEGE FIGURES [BIDEN: 290 TO TRUMP’S: 214], has announced that his team would hit the court with law suits on Monday November 9th, 2020, to challenge the overall outcome of the presidential elections!

CONSPIRACY THEORY ADDUCED TO DONALD TRUMP AND ASSOCIATES!

On 26th September, 2020 some weeks before the US Presidential Elections, President Donald Trump pushed to the Senate his choice Judge Amy Coney Barret, a favorite of Conservatives to replace Justice Ruth Bader at the Supreme Court which now has the constitutional complement of NINE JURISTS in spite of opposition from the Democrats who believed that the timing was not auspicious for such an appointment in a country regarded as the bastion of democracy?!

QUESTIONS TO BE ADDRESSED!

Are US Supreme Court Judges card-carrying members of political parties?
Must they engage in partisan politics?
Would they have the liver to cancel authentic popular and electoral college votes which have been certified by all the 50 States Electoral bodies at the risk of impugning their integrity/credibility to become odious to the entire universe who are already convinced that the elections were fair, just and credible from the beginning to the end?

FACTS ON GROUND!

The constitutional process of announcement of election results in the US are as follows:
Because the 50 State-based Independent Electoral Bodies, have the rights to announce results to the Media at the conclusion of final counting, the issue of error commission or omission, collusion or manipulation are completely ruled out!
The US Federal Electoral Commission primary concern during elections is to focus on enforcing federal campaign finance law and not constitutionally empowered to interfere with electoral processes which fall within the purview and exclusive preserve of the 50 united states of the Union!

Once elections are certified in all 50 States, electors to the Electoral College would be officially picked to eventually vote for the president – a clumsy process which is yet to be faulted by the US Electorate till date!
US Elections at both levels (Presidential and Parliamentary), are certified ONLY by States Electoral Commissions and their authentic decisions would be very difficult to be faulted in any court of competent jurisdiction!

CAN TRUMP OVERTURN BIDEN’S RESOUNDING VICTORY AT THE SUPREME COURT?

But the unfolding scenario of challenging the peaceful, credible, fair, well-organized and articulate nation-wide elections which recorded over 66% voters turn out (the first time ever in any US Elections), point to a hidden agenda that the incumbent President intended to upturn his rival’s victory at the SUPREME COURT at all cost!

Conspiracy theorists confirm that Trump knew he would lose the elections having performed abysmally in his four years in office from 2016 to 2020, (as enumerated in previous paragraphs), and his only option to rig the elections in his favor would be through the Supreme Court!

THREE NIGERIAN-AMERICANS WON LEGISLATIVE SEATS IN THE US ELECTIONS!

Nigerian youths in the Diaspora have always cut a niche for themselves in foreign countries and have creditably represented the country in all facets of human endeavor – education, space science, education, politics, medicine, agriculture information technology, the Arts, entertainment, tourism, entrepreneurship, industry, manufacturing, etc, etc, and it is no surprise that they were able to clinch Legislative seats at the just concluded US General Elections! Kudos to the winning team of Adeoye Owolewa (first Nigerian to be elected to the US Congress to represent Washington DC on the platform of the Republican Party), Esther Agbaje, State Assembly, Minessota, Democratic Party and Nnamdi Chukwuocha, State Assembly, Delaware, Democratic Party. Others are, Ms. April Ademiluyi and Ngozi Akubuike, who made Nigeria proud and gave Nigeria a new image outside of all international negative appellations of past and recent years!

Henceforth Nigerian parents should encourage their children to emulate these Diaspora Youths with sterling qualities and make Nigeria great again! “Train up a child the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs. 22:6).

#END THREATS TO DESMOND ELLIOT’S LIFE!

Who is threatening the life of actor/politician/Lagos State law maker Hon. Desmond Elliot? Definitely they are not the soldiers, nor the peaceful protesters who are still mourning the sudden demise of their compatriots!
They are the aggrieved social media youths who are demanding his “pound of flesh” for his audacity in   condemning them for unleashing “legitimate” anger of mayhem and destruction on public, private and cultural institutions in Lagos and across the nation!
But they forgot one very important detail that those attacks on Lagos Police Stations, Medical institutions, the Oba’s Palace and the various political constituencies, were dangerous invasion to the Honourable’s “Lion’s Den” which incurred his fury! Oluwashola Desmond Elliot, (ODE), 46-year-old is an indigene of Lagos, who studied in Lagos and Jos, married in Lagos, had almost all of his professional life in Lagos and now as a politician, represents (for the second tenure), Surulere Constituency 1, 2015 to date, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ruling party. SURULERE CONSTITUENCY INCURRED WANTON DESTRUCTION AND INJURIES TO LIVES AND PROPERTIES!   
As an actor, he was loved by the Youths who patronized his over 200 films and soap operas in which he featured  since prominently since the year 2003, have gotten very fond of him and more or less idolize  and voted en mass in 2015/2019, to secure his legislative ambition when he veered into politics!

THE SINS OF DESMOND ELLIOT IN OCTOBER 2020!

During the #EndSARS peaceful protest which lasted from 8th-20th October, 2020, without pandemonium and   in spite of the fact that Desmond stood aloof even as a youth who benefited from youths votes via Social Media campaigns, he “supported Anti-Social Media Bill in Nigeria”!
He vehemently criticized social media users and influencers on the floor of the Lagos State House of Assembly by claiming that if urgent action was not taken, the favourite youth portal would destroy the very fabric of the nation and there would be no Nigerian State in the next FIVE years because social media was eroding “our cultural heritage!
He also told plenary of the House on Thursday 29th October, 2020, that youths had desecrated cultural norms and values through deliberate disrespect to elders by raining curses/abuses on elders with reckless abandon – especially the raid upon the Palace of Lagos during which  the Oba’s Staff of Office (now recovered), was carted away!
He criticized CELEBRITIES for clandestinely supporting violence, condemned the carnage at the Lekki Toll Gate and the #EndSARS/#EndPolice Brutality aftermath as one of the negative aspect of the excessive freedom of Social Media in Nigeria!
Desmond addressed the youth protesters as CHILDREN who are cursing the elders adding that all those who looted and destroyed lives and properties were also youths; an assertion that the protesters vehemently detested and rejected! *Nigerians at home and the Diaspora including members of the international communities, witnessed on social media, the #EndSARS/#EndPolice Brutality street protests which in TWO WEEKS produced Federal Government’s agreement to the entire FIVE-FOR-FIVE demands by the peaceful Youth Protesters who refused to return home throughout that period!

THE 5-FOR-5 DEMANDS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Immediate release of all arrested protesters.
Justice for all deceased victims of police brutality and appropriate compensation for their families.
Setting up an independent body to oversee the investigation and prosecution of all aspects of police misconduct (within 10 days).
In line with the new Police Act, psychological evaluation retraining (to be confirmed by an independent body), of all disbanded SARS officers before they can be redeployed.
Increase police salary so that they are adequately compensated for protecting lives and property of citizens.

The announcement by the Inspector General of Police coupled with a televised broadcast by President Muhammadu Buhari that SARS had been DISBANDED should have been a welcome balm for the youths to RETURN home to give room for implementation but for the distrust that government might not fulfil the demands after all!   

FACE-OFF BETWEEN MILITARY AND THE LAGOS STATE JUDICIAL COMMISSION OF INQUIRY!
It was reported that Military authorities at the Military Hospital, Ikoyi, Lagos, initially denied access the Chairman and Members of the Commission on fact finding mission; but superior orders eventually prevailed!
MILITARY AMNESIA? – “WE WERE NOT AT LEKKI TOLL GATE ...OOPS! .... WE WERE THERE BUT DID NOT FIRE A SINGLE SHOT!
“We were not involved in the over three weeks of general commotion/disruption to social activities, wide-spread destruction of lives and properties orchestrated through the initially PEACEFUL #EndSARS, #EndPolice Brutality, which began in Lagos  on 8th October, 2020; etc. etc.

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT DESMOND ELLIOT!

Members of this platform are acquainted with the gradual success of young Desmond from 2004 when he began his acting career on the popular soap opera, “Everyday People”, where he distinguished himself as a very talented and promising movie star. And he progressed in the industry, he was identified as a philanthropist who was ever ready to support worthy social events in his State of Origin and also in Plateau State where he sunk bore holes to support the supply of potable water to the citizenry in remote areas!
He was a cheerful giver who was ever ready to part with his financial resources to the needy with great passion.

WHAT THE WORD OF GOD SAYS ABOUT RESPECT TO PARENTS AND ELDERS!

As a Christian faithful, Desmond was zealous to condemn youthful exuberances which led youths to abuse and curse the elderly and hoary head and would not hold his peace even at the peril of the quagmire in which he had found himself!
Children who obey and respect parents and elders would live long to declare the glory of the Lord in the land of the living while those who derelict would perish before ripe age according to the Word of God!

KILLING/WANTON DESTRUCTION OF LIVES & STRATEGIC PROPERTIES!

Thou shall not KILL! This is one of the holy commandments of the Lord. Whoever kills by the sword will perish by the sword is another! Thou shall not covet your neighbour’s properties, is yet another!
BUT the looters despised all of those laws and more and Desmond had to speak out!

GENERAL COMMENTS: QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS!

Was Desmond’s contribution/comments at plenary NOT pre-meditated and laden with anguish/anger in view all of the listed ”SINS” against him in the preceding paragraphs and in view of the fact that he spoke publicly on Thursday 29th October, 2020, (21 days after  commencement of protests from 8th October, 2020)?Answer: Not quite! Firstly, the young man, having become a successful politician and a card-carrying member of the ruling party is now on the other side and must be cautious about his actions that  could be termed  Anti-party activity if he had spoken in favour of protesters! 
Was he qualified to refer to the protesters as CHILDREN? Yes and No! Yes because some of the addicted Social Media users in Nigeria are between age 15 to 25 and were easily indoctrinated to social vices on internet rather than qualitative/educational ideas that could influence positive civic responsibilities! And No because majority of those protesters capture on electronic, social or print media were responsible young professional, ebullient patriots in their 20s and early 30s, who believe in good governance and is advocating for same with absolute maturity which government quickly recognised and respected! So, Hon. Elliot should not have employed a blanket description for the two different categories of youths!
Was he impetuous or emotional as he claimed in a recent television interview? Yes he was both; but more emotional as he confessed following total condemnation for his unbridled vituperations!
Is he sorry, remorseful penitent and ashamed? Yes! He was completely broken down and wish he could turn back the hands of the clock – but alas, the deed has been done and our staunch belief is that the Word of God which states that, “The LORD shall fight for you and you will hold your peace”, will manifest at this time in his life for divine protection!

WE IMPLORE THE RESPONSIBLE/PATRIOTIC YOUTHS WHO SPEARHEADED THE SUCCESSFUL PROTESTS TO RE-STRATEGIZE & BE FOCUSSED TOWARDS 2023 PRESIDENTIAL AND GENERAL ELECTIONS AND SEAMLESSLY AND PEACEFULLY TAKE OVER FROM THIS EVIL GENERATION OF BAD LEADERS!
Aggrieved youths should forgive Hon. Desmond Elliot, because he is their FRIEND AND NOT AN ENEMY! “To err is human; to forgive is divine! The foundation for a better Nigeria has been laid by those honourable INNOVATIVE YOUTH PROTESTERS and we believe that Posterity will always honour them AMEN!

PRESIDENT BUHARI HAS SOILED THE NATIONAL FLAG WITH HIS CHILDREN’S BLOOD!

President Buhari has been faulted by patriotic Nigerians and by World Leaders for failing to mention the Lekki Tollgate shootings of Black Tuesday 20-10-20, in his lucid, un-inspiring, and belated speech; (TWO DAYS after the incident) and whereas, he held the usual weekly Wednesday Federal Executive Council (FEC), meeting on the morning after the massacre of patriotic, peaceful, innocent and harmless youths who laid down their lives for justice, equity and fair play!

All those cabinet ministers and presidential advisers who attended the FEC unconstitutional meeting with the President either virtually or physically at the State House on 21st October, 2020, should cover their heads in shame for playing the role of Emperor Nero who banqueted while Rome burned during the great fire of 64 AD. 
FEC meeting of that day which should have been cancelled to honour Youth protesters who were attacked and shot at the Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos by yet-to-be identified soldiers, held with the usual gusto and fanfare as the Treasury Single Account (TSA), was butchered as usual in the name of CONTRACT AWARDS to the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), of civil servants who have perfected the of art of budget manipulation with the politicians!

AFTERMATH OF BUHARI’S SILENCE!
The five consecutive days following Lekki Toll Gate shootings, irate youths who were incensed by the unwarranted attack and disgusted with the President’s speech (not the original peaceful youth protester), went   on a nation-wide rampage of  government SILOS and shopping plazas ), carted away all food items within their reach and left casualties in their trail!

WHAT BUHARI FAILED TO DO!!!
He did not respond properly as the Father of the Nation who had empathy for his children who were suffering for the several lapses which his administration failed to address in the past FIVE- YEARS-AND-FIVE MONTHS!
His deliberate/delayed and doctored national broadcast was laced with rhetoric and subtle diplomatic impunity to further infuriate public disgust! His doctrine of “I am for nobody, and I am for everybody”.....  has backfired because his cabinet ministers and advisers are having field day..... Collecting humongous salaries/allowances plus exotic imported vehicles and with neither oversight nor accountability to the PEOPLE or any quarters!
As a Father, President Buhari should have conceived that the over 70% of youth population – majority unemployed were watching – the opulent lifestyle of his chosen lieutenants whose agenda in politics was to amass as much monies, wealth within the short period of office without giving any form of accountability whatsoever!
The President forgot that those youths he has now discarded to their fate were the same who voted to get him into office in 2015/2019 and should have physically addressed them one-one-one – instead of sending soldiers who have no regard for human lives!    He failed to realize that the youths are the leaders waiting in the wing to take over from him when he departs on 29th May, 2023, when we on this Platform, strongly believe, he would gracefully bow out of office!
He forgot to acknowledge that “uneasy lies the head that wears the crown” and that the BUCK stops at the table of Mr. President as the Americans would succinctly put it because none of his appointees would be called for accountability when and if things went wrong!
His belated “State of Nation or Union” failed to address the burning issues of Lekki Toll Gate killings in which THE MILITARY according to Governor Sanwoolu claimed in his broadcast following the massacre was fingered as MASTERMINDS; the burning down of TVC Multi-million Television Station situated in Lagos, and The Nation Newspaper buildings in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; etc.

QUESTIONS MR. PRESIDENT MUST ANSWER!
The President’s broadcast insinuated that the Youth Protesters were responsible for all acts of vandalism recorded across the nation when the TRUTH is that government agents connived with miscreants and hoodlums to create pandemonium in order to forcibly drive the youths off the streets!
Can government deny complicity in the mayhem unleashed on peaceful citizens through institutionally sponsored thugs captured on video as they were dropped off at different locations in Abuja, by security agents dressed in suits from SUVs and Hilux pick-ups to destroy peoples properties?
Who deployed soldiers from the Bonny Camp, Victoria to hastily move and enforce a CURFEW which had been shifted from 4pm to 9pm of Tuesday 20th October, 2020, instead of policemen who should be in charge in a democratic dispensation as we presently operate?
Who ordered that both the Lekki Toll Gate lights and the Close Circuit Television (CCTV), Cameras be shut down before the military assaulted innocent youths who waved the Nigerian national flag and sang the National Anthem to assuage the onslaught without success?
Who led the killer squad that fired the several salvos at the peaceful crowd whose BLOOD eventually soiled the Green-White- Green national flag with RED?
Apart from the injured victims at the hospital visited by Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu who saw only ONE DEAD BODY, no other casualties have been discovered or identified!  WHERE ARE THE DEAD BODIES OF ABOUT 42 YOUTHS ALLEGEDLY KILLED ON #20-10-20? Were they carted away by the soldiers who want to confuse/distort investigations and prove their DENIAL TWEETS that they were never at the Lekki Toll Gate on the fateful day!
SHOULD ELDERS LOOK THE OTHER WAY WHEN YOUTHS PERISH IN THE MARKET PLACE?
How many are guns and ammunitions of the Armed Forces and the Police (and purchased with public funds), compared to the patriotic Force and Zeal embedded in over 200 million Nigerian citizens who would no longer  be intimidated nor treated as SECOND CLASS in their own country?
Nigerians have grown to know that the military would always reap where they never sowed and in spite of the CURRENT ROMANCE with citizens through smoke-screen social project supports, the beast in them exposed them on BLACK TUESDAY #20-10-20, when they descended on harmless, innocent youth protesters who only demanded for their fundamental constitutional rights BUT instead got mauled in the process like enemies of the State!

SOLDIERS DON’T HAVE MONOPOLY OF BRUTAL FORCE!
Nigerian soldiers do not have monopoly of brutal violence or wickedness but have unduly taken advantage of the peaceful/resilient youths who have patiently stayed back in Nigeria to REDUCE BRAIN DRAIN and build the nation!
On the eve of the horrible and dastard day of massacre - #20-10-20, We all watched helplessly on video as gun fire rented the air at the Lekki Toll Gate and youths who scampered for safety screamed one to another: “......they are shooting at us.... hold on to the flag and lie down to avoid the soldiers bullets.... don’t run...; and We prayed fervently for divine intervention! 
NIGERIA BELONGS TO OVER 250 DIVERSE TRIBES – HAUSA, FULANI, YORUBA, IBO ETC,! “People cry NOT because they are WEAK! It is because they have been TOO STRONG for too long!”

Nigerians are tired of braggart uniformed men who boast that they can KILL ANYONE AND NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN!
It was time President Buhari re-engineer his DWINDLING IMAGE being dented by his so-called trusted surrogates around him in order achieve his lofty ideals to ensure adequate security and eradicate POVERTY IN THE LAND! Video clips of the nation-wide lootings for FOOD ITEMS speak volumes that MAJORITY OF THE CITIZENS ARE VERY POOR AND HUNGRY!
The President should be reminded that HIS FOURTH SUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT AT THE PRESIDENCY WAS FULL OF PROMISES TO SUCCOUR THE TALAKAWAS! A HUNGRY MAN IS AN ANGRY MAN!
All governments should realise that POWER BELONG TO THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED THEM TO POWER AND THEY MUST RESPECT THEM AS MASTERS!
Extra judicial killings BY EITHER CITIZENS OR GOVERNMENT MUST STOP COMPLETELY!

WE COMMISERATE WITH FAMILIES OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES THAT WERE KILLED IN THE FRACAS AND PRAY THEY REST IN PEACE!

ADVICE TO THE YOUTH #END SARS, #END POLICE BRUTALITY PROTESTERS!
The protesters Freedom stops where other Citizens Freedom begins; blocking of highways to prevent others from assessing their legitimate businesses is unlawful act!
Permanent occupation of strategic government institutions was undiplomatic in that the act gave room for infiltration by mercenary hoodlums who were always hired to execute evil agendas!
Every association or activist movement must boast of well-organised and very good /effective leadership, which the youths lacked!
Now that government has acceded to their #FIVE FOR FIVE DEMANDS, they should sheath their swords and give peace a chance! While they re-strategize, We would implore them to consider further dialogue with Federal and State Governments on the ROOT CAUSES OF POVERTY AND INSECURITY WHICH ARE: Institutional Corruption/Wastages in Administration through – National Assembly/State Assembly outrageous salaries and allowances; Ministers Secret Salaries and allowances; N37billion appropriated for RENOVATION of NASS BUILDING, ETC.

SENATE MUST BE SCRAPPED NOW!
The demand for the SCRAPPING OF THE SENATE AND REDUCTION OF THE 360 HOR MEMBERS TO 74, AND ESTABLISHMENT OF STATE POLICE, SHOULD KICK START THE NEXT LINE OF DIALOGUE SOONEST IF IT HAD TO BE THROUGH A REFERENDUM AND THE YOUTHS MUST SUPPORT THE PEACEFUL PROCESS WHICH THE RULING GOVERNMENT SUPPORTS THROUGH GOVERNOR EL RUFAI’S REPORT ON RESTRUCTURING OF NIGERIA!

2021 BUDGET OF A DEBTOR NATION OF OPULENT POLITICIANS AND AN AMBITIOUS MILITARY!!

No Nigerian patriot is a friend of the Military! But soldiers over the years have cleverly “invaded” all 774 Local Government Areas with all manner of social palliatives to pacify 200 million Nigerians for past injuries inflicted on DEMOCRACY during 30 years of illegal occupation of the nation! New barracks accommodation of the Armed Forces personnel (Nigerian Army, Air Force and Navy), complimented with medical primary health/eye optical centres, educational infrastructures of nursery, primary and secondary schools have dotted the geo-political zones to appease the already traumatized rural dwellers whom they and the politicians failed to educate! They support States’ social infrastructural programmes of bridges/roads constructions in various communities to complete UBIQUITOUS MILITARIZATION which had in no way deterred insecurity!
The duties of the military which are clearly spelt out in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria  include defence of the nation from external aggression, protection of its borders from invasion by external forces, complimentary support for internal security operations when the POLICE is overstretched, remain apolitical and subject itself to CIVIL AUTHORITY! However in recent times the military which forcibly ruled the nation for about 30 YEARS, is subtly coming through the BACK DOOR to endear itself to the CITIZENS!

WERE THERE ANY MILITARY OR CIVILIAN DIVIDENDS OF 60 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE?
Recently, YOUTHS took over Nigerian streets in protest against the police organization called Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS),  and are demanding in a very peaceful manner, an end to the sadistic activities this organization that have been a thorn in the flesh of innocent law-abiding youths whose fundamental rights are covered by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria! Apart from the youths, many innocent people were also killed in cold blood by this horrible organization which has now been disbanded by President Muhammadu Buhari! Why would the Nigerian Army initiate an intimidating nationwide “EXERCISE CROCODILE SMILE VI” on CYBER CRIME (WHILE PATROLLING THE STREETS), from Tuesday 20th October, 2020, to coincide with the Youths demonstration? But it is sad that the military has subtly threatened Nigerians that they will not tolerate any act of lawlessness and promised to deal decisively with law-breakers adding that their allegiance was to Mr President and the Constitution and pretending to forget that POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA UNDER THE 1999 CONSTITUTION WHICH WAS HANDED OVER TO EX-PRESIDENT AREMU OBASANJO’S PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP), GOVERNMENT!

POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE!
We want to make it clear to the military that they must remain subjected to civil authority and must restrict themselves therefore to their constitutional duties alone and remain in the barracks and that renegade soldiers must realize that military coup was no longer fashionable and would not be tolerated on the Continent of Africa !

#End SARS/#End Police Brutality Youth protesters have made their statement and we believe that the government will fulfil their own end of the bargain, protect lives and property by ensuring that adequate nation-wide security is entrenched in the country.It is a known fact the military always got the biggest share of every annual budget and even in the 2021 Budget, the military has a total sum of N 840,559,082,105 billion naira allocated to the Ministry of Defense above all other Ministries – even more than the Nigerian Police Force which MUST forcibly go through very rigorous REFORMS now that the YOUTHS have woken from their SLUMBER! This PLATFORM in the past SEVEN YEARS had called on youths to take their rightful place as FUTURE LEADERS and stop being SUBSERVIENT to discredited politicians who had enslaved them as THUGS, BALLOT BOX SNATCHERS, HOODLUMS ETC, at every election since Independence without success until the same politicians have now unleashed SARS/SWAT terrorists in uniform against them! When the NOT-TOO-YOUNG-TO-RULE ACT debuted, Nigerians believed that Youths would seize the great opportunity to become liberated from the shackles of very selfish politicians who ferried their own children abroad for safety, but misuse, abuse and eventually dump such un-ambitious youths! Now that they are wiser We all should further encourage them to take more interest in GOVERNANCE, ECONOMICS, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, MONITOR ALL ANNUAL BUDGETS AND MONITOR JUDICIOUS IMPLEMENTATION OF ALL REVENUE ET ALL, for them to take their rightful place in the scheme of good/decent politics!

BUDGET OF ECONOMIC RECOVERY AND RESILIENCE!
Who would not be surprised at Nigeria’s very ambitious 2021 debt-ridden Appropriation Bill, totalling an incredible amount of N13.8 trillion naira at this austere period of the Covid-19 pandemic/threatening economic recession, other than the super rich political leaders whose penchant for budget padding in the forms of “re-writing, re-inventing, re-engineering, re-producing, etc, has become classic in presentation, such that at the stage of final approval, the Constitutional Author of the Bill is flung in different directions of confusion; a feat that has not been rivalled in any part of the world! According to figures submitted by the President in this particular budget, a whooping sum of N3.1TRILLION NAIRA would be SPENT on DEBT SERVICING ALONE AND NOT DEBT RE-PAYMENT!   From 1999 till date, no Nigerian Executive-prepared Budget had ever had a smooth sail through National Assembly Legislators who misinterpret, misuse and abuse their oversight functions over other tiers to mean manipulation of the FINANCIAL DOCUMENT (which determines the fate of the economy, citizens’ livelihood and security), to expressly bloat their whims and caprices through surreptitious appropriation of funds to dubious constituency projects that were never executed by the law makers!
HON. JUBRIL ABDULMUMINI, one time Committee Chairman for Finance and Appropriation, House of Representatives, during the 8th NASS, ruffled to hornet’s nest when he disclosed the massive “robbery of the National Treasury” through budget padding between 2011 and 2015 and up to date, all legislators fingered in the dastard economic/financial crimes, are still walking the streets as FREE MEN while some are holding on to political appointments with impunity! No Budget had ever been 100% executed and funds of unexecuted budgets were never returned to the TREASURY! WHO OVERSIGHTS THE NASS LEGISLATORS - THE HAWKS WHO ALWAYS FEAST ON ANNUAL BUDGETS!

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE REVISED 2020 AND 2021 APPROPRIATION BUDGETS.
President Muhammadu Buhari, in his presentation of the 2021 Appropriation Bill, tagged, “Budget of Economic Recovery and Resilience”, to the joint chambers of the National Assembly on 8th October 2020, disclosed that Revenue and Expenditure budgets for the fiscal year 2021, would amount to N13.08 trillion inclusive of a fiscal deficit of N4.65 trillion!
Major Assumptions according to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning, Year 2020 Appropriation Act are as follows:
Bench Oil Price Mark: 2020 Revised/2021 Proposed Budgets - US$28 & $48 per barrel respectively in items (1) – (12).
Oil Production Volume (barrel per day): 1.80 million/1.86 m.
Inflation rate (%). Two digits of 14 & 11.95.
Exchange rate. US$ 360/$ 379 to One dollar.
GDP Growth Rate:  -4.42 and 3 %.
Capital Expenditure: N 2.69 trillion and N 3.85 trillion.
Statutory Transfer: No. 43 trillion and No. 48 trillion.
DEBT SERVICING: N 2.68 trillion naira and N 3.12 trillion naira.
Recurrent Expenditure (non debt), N4.94 trillion and N5. 65 trillion naira.
Total Revenue: N 5.84 trillion and N8.43 trillion.

HOW WOULD ACCUMULATED DEBTS BE PAID BACK?
Stop further borrowings! Block all wastages in the Executive and Legislative! Introduce UNICAMERAL LEGISLATURE OF 74 Lawmakers! THE SENATE MUST BE SCRAPPED disbanded, dissolved deleted, erased to pay off substantial part of that aggravated debt! It is long overdue for the upper house of the NASS to be locked up and its keys thrown into River Niger! Nigeria's Senate of the FOURTH REPUBLIC from 1999, had served - with very few exceptions - as a CONFLUENCE OF GREEDY POLITICIANS (discredited ex-governors, expired civil servants, ex-Commissioners/Ministers, political jobbers, etc), who are sworn enemies of downtrodden masses who neither voted for them nor were even aware of their representation, to date!
Negotiate for DEBT FORGIVENESS with Foreign Lenders, World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), London Paris Club in view of the negative effects of Covid-19 pandemic on World economy including a threatening universal recession!
Diversify massively into agriculture, the extractive, entertainment, film, tourism etc.

In spite of the HUGE DEBT BURDEN the President was optimistic that the 2021 Budget, would deliver on the Government's Economic Sustainability Plan goals, accelerate the pace of Nigeria's economic recovery, promote economic diversification, enhance competitiveness and ensure social inclusion with the support of the Finance Bill 2020 to be passed along with the fresh budget! The Debt Management Office (DMO), has disclosed that Nigeria’s total debt Stock (Foreign and Domestic), as at JUNE 2020, hit N31.01 trillion naira or US$ 85.9 billion dollars.”Nigeria’s public debt grew by US$22.09 billion in the last FIVE YEARS of President Buhari’s Administration, indication an increase of 34.6%!  WHO WILL PAY ALL THOSE DEBTS? The President and his Economic Team MUST answer to the PEOPLE NOW! “Righteousness exalts a nation; but sin is a reproach to all people.” (Proverbs. 14:34)

DISBANDED SARS OPERATIVES SHOULD BE POSTED TO NORTH EAST WAR TRENCHES!

Except for a deaf or insensitive government, the persistent/vehement nation-wide street commotions/ uproars over the demand for the disbandment of the ubiquitous and notorious Special Anti-Robbery Squad Unit (SARS), of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), ANY further delay by President Muhammadu Buhari, to act on the burning issue could have resulted in chaos/anarchy of a dimension that might have been impossible to contain!

Following weeks of youth demonstrations across the nation, SARS, a Police management initiative established to counter the spate of armed robbery evolution and cyber fraud and crimes by “yahoo boys” of unprecedented dimension from the early years of the 21st Century which informed Presidential Committees on Police Reforms in Nigeria 2005, 2006, 2008 etc, with a view to improving organisational structure/welfare because of the primary duties of the civil security outfit  which tally with government’s constitutional provision to provide security and welfare as a State based on the principles of democracy and social justice, has prompted the incumbent president to further encourage the police force with better and greater incentives through his assent to a fresh Police Bill on 17th September, 2020!  

The NPF happens to be the first security contact to visitors at all entry points by land, air or sea ports - including international visitors/watchers who play the role of Ombudsman and monitor closely human right violations in every country to ensure the equality of all citizens of the world and therefore its officers must therefore be well-kitted, presentable, professional and diligent in the performance of their huge responsibilities!

BREAKING NEWS! According to newspapers, electronic and social media reports; “The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has announced the dissolution of the dreaded police formation, Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS or FSARS).
“The dissolution is coming on the hills of the #EndSARS protest nationwide.
“The IGP made the announcement on Sunday afternoon (11th October, 2020), during a press conference at the force headquarters in Abuja.
“The IGP reports directly to the president and could only have taken such decision with President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval or authorization.
“The SARS, a police unit, has been accused of extortion, intimidation, harassment and murder of many young Nigerians.”

POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE!
President Buhari has behaved wisely and has proved his critics wrong because he was aware of the enormous constitutional sovereignty which belongs to the people from whom government derives its power/authority and MUST therefore ensure their security, welfare in order to prevent social disorder and anarchy!

F SARS IS AN OFF-SHOOT OF POLICE MOBILE FORCE!
The acronym “kill and go” is synonymous to the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (PMF), which was so termed because of the brutality of the group which never bothered about pains/agonies inflicted on people, provided their strike operations were successful!

For some decades since independence to date, personnel of NPF had been widely accused as unrepentant human rights violators who behaved with impunity in the discharge of their duties!

The special anti-riot para-military outfit – also called Mopol- debuted on the Nigerian security architectural platform at a time when the docile civil Nigeria Police Force (NPF), saddled with the enormous/strategic role of maintaining law, order, protecting lives and property nation-wide without adequate provisions of training, funding, man power/modern combat equipments AND had been virtually run aground by the Nigerian Army which forcefully gate-crashed into the political arena within six years of independence and pushed the former’s constitutional roles into the abyss!
Pioneer Mopol (Mobile Police), recruits were flown to acquire special training in Malaysia which was credited for having successfully operated highly-professional para-military strike forces of international standard of that nature for several years in the past and until the late 80s into the 90s, Mopol officers have performed creditably across Africa and especially at the United Nations (UN), Peace Keeping operations!

GOING DOWN THE MEMORY LANE: EXCERPTS FROM OUR NEWSLETTER NO. 223 OF 19TH NOVEMBER, 2017.
“BAD COPS ARE NOT SPARED BY POLICE HIGH COMMAND!
The NPF is the only Para-military organization with constitutional powers for the prevention and detection of crime, the apprehension of offenders, the preservation of law and order, the protection of property and the due enforcement of all laws and regulations with which they are directly charged, and shall perform such military duties within or without Nigeria as may be required of them.
In the discharge of these very daunting duties, the Force had to cope with some "BAD COPS" who attempted to smear the dogged and formidable image which had been built with sweat and blood of PAST HEROES in 156 years and would have succeeded but for the determined courage of the majority population of highly efficient and dedicated officers who had kept the flag flying through lawful discharge of their constitutional duties with decorum and probity.
In all of the years of existence of the NPF, junior officers of the Rank and File, had been the BLACK SHEEP until IGP, Mustapha Adebayo Balogun, (2002-2005), who was alleged to have hired thousands of officers with criminal records during his tenure was eventually indicted and later convicted over corruption charges!
THE FORCE HAS ITS OWN IN-HOUSE DISCIPLINARY AND CLEANSING MECHANISM WHICH ENSURES THAT NO OFFENCE, MISDEMEANOUR OR CRIME COMMITTED BY ANY MEMBER IS EVER COVERED UP!
From the recruits to all Superior Police Officers (SPOs), crimes - including extra-judicial killings - were exposed and punished adequately according to the law and that why it was not easy for ex-IGP 'Tafa Balogun to wriggle out of the accusations that were proven against him at the law courts!

RECOMMENDATIONS; It is a welcome decision of government to have banned SARS at the Federal and State levels but it very important that the “Frankenstein Monsters” among them must be investigated, prosecuted and if found guilty be made face their punishments according to extant laws in order to restore some confidence that may be left in the Nigerian Police Force, which recently received the attention of the President who signed into law a very special Bill that favours further reformation for better performances as reproduced below:
“President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law the Nigeria Police Bill, 2020. The President in a memo dated September 16, 2020, communicated his assent to the Bill to the National Assembly, through the Clerk of the legislature.
“The Act repeals the Police Act Cap. P19. Laws of the Federation, 2004, and provides for a more effective and well organized Police Force, driven by the principles of transparency and accountability in its operations and management of its resources.
“Among others, the Act establishes an appropriate funding framework for the Police in line with what is obtainable in other Federal Government key institutions, enhances professionalism in the Force through increased training opportunities, and creates an enduring cooperation and partnership between the Police Force and communities in maintaining peace and combating crimes nationwide.”

NORTH EAST NEEDS MORE MILITARY AND POLICE COMBATANTS TO END THE BOKO HARAM ALREADY DEGRADED INSURGENCY!

It is our candid suggestion that the disbanded tough officers should be re-deployed to support the security forces in that region; who knows, their cumulative intelligence prowess of several years might proffer faster results than would end the war in no time!

NIGERIA’S 60 YEARS OF DISUNITY WAS IGNITED WITH TWO MILITARY COUPS!

The helplessness of consecutive Nigerian leaders/ administrators to contain the spate of incessant insecurity of lives and property from independence to date points to serious character deficit that most of them – democratic or military - were mostly unprepared for the political offices they coveted or those that were thrust upon them by providence!

Before the two military coups of 1966; the first by soldiers mostly from the Igbo extraction on 1st January, and the other by the khaki boys from the Hausa invaders, 31st July, Prime Minister, Tafawa Balewa and his management team believed that the Parliamentary system being practiced was on course; completely oblivious to the fact that the military whose rightful position had been strictly restricted to the barracks preferred to be in charge!

The seed of disunity which was birthed between Northern and Southern since then metamorphosed into the attempted secession of the Igbos from the rest of Nigeria which resulted in a 30-month-long Biafra War from 1967-1970, followed by more military coups and counter coups – about 11 of them altogether!

AT 60, IS NIGERIA AN INDEPENDENT OR DEMOCRATIC NATION?
An independent nation, country or state with its residents and population have the rights and privileges to exercise self-governance/sovereignty over the territory occupied while a democratic nation implies a country that operates a system of government in which power and civic responsibility devolve around adult citizens directly or through their freely elected representatives and rests on the principles of majority rule and individual rights.

Although the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, stipulates that sovereignty belongs to the people from whom government derives its constitutional powers, the reverse had been the case due to the bad blood which had been ceded into the polity through mindless military coups in the sixties!
In spite of ELEVEN military coups that made all the khaki generals multi billionaires within junta governments of about 30 years, they still had the audacity to craft/draft a dubious constitution that favours a presidential government as opposed to the Parliamentary System which that they overthrew in 1966, with a view to foisting a Diarchy which enabled them free participation in civil administrations as we have witnessed in the past 21 years in the total militarization of the entire nation of the country!

POLITICS IS A GAME OF NUMBERS!
How true is the pundits claim that politics is a game of numbers; but should the advantage of higher figures be synonymous with winners take all in a country as diverse as Nigeria?

Does the political class meticulously consider the significant role of the Constitution which spells out fundamental rights, federal character posture, faithful distribution of the common patrimony, equality before the law, freedom, equity, and justice when in position of authority either at the Federal or State levels?

Should the political elites always forget to consider the fate of the 250 ethnic groups or the over 500 tribes that amalgamated in 1914 as Northern and Southern Protectorates under the watchful supervision of Sir Lord Lugard, the British Colonial Governor General, and the  over 200 million population of the most populous black African nation of the 21st Century which cannot be wished away but embellished in the scheme of administration to ensure the dividends of true democracy or good governance?

Should they always forget that the greatest asset of any nation is a well-nurtured HUMAN CAPITAL BANK chequered to give its best shot in every national assignment without employing parochial mentality/ nepotism to the detriment of fundamental rights etc, in the distribution of social amenities?
The British Colonial Masters were complicit to have given Northern Nigeria the false impression that their massive advantage of large expanse of land tantamount to greater population – a claim which is still being disputed by Southern politicians at every conversation/debate and all past CENSUS had not succeeded to arbitrate successfully!

HOW CAN DISUNITY BE ERADICATED PERMANENTLY?
The derogatory “Common man” parlance among Nigerian politicians must be deleted from the nation’s lexicon because if anyone must be addressed as COMMON, the greedy politicians are most suited like the common thieves in our societies because their motivation into politics was inordinate desire for pecuniary gains and not national service!
Between 1960 and 1999, OXFAM, an international watchdog reported that over US $ 3 trillion dollars were stolen from the common patrimony by these custodians in position of authority!
The NEEDS of the average Nigerian for survival are very minimal if a RIGHTEOUS GOVERNMENT is in place:
He needs a good job and a living wage, and in the alternative to be allotted with a moderate piece of land in his name to cultivate for all-year-round farming livelihood; a good shelter over his head, adequate security for himself and his family, constant electricity to power his machines, (grinding machines, motor bikes, “keke napep” “kabu-kabu taxis”, free education for his children from primary to Senior Secondary, good health care system for his family, flexible investment opportunities etc, etc,

With a conservative package such as mentioned above, the average citizen of Nigeria will dwell in peace without any form of agitation, will be law-abiding, will perform all civic duties without hesitation or coercion and would never engage in any form of confrontation!

HOW MUCH WILL COST THE NIGERIAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO PAMPER ITS CITIZENS?
Blockage of all wastefulness in the very unpopular Presidential System and a quick reversal to the Parliamentary which was aborted by the military shortly after independence.
Immediate move by Buhari Administration to close down the SENATE and pruning of the House of Representatives 360 members to 74!
Ministerial appointments to be limited to ONE per State and one for the Federal Capital Territory!
Employment opportunities for tertiary institution graduates and all able-bodied men/women to be engage in the various cadres of the SMSMEs.
Others to be absorbed by the Private Sector as government restores industrialisation through massive manufacturing/production and Exportation of FINISHED PRODUCTS; (there are 35 mineral deposits across the 36 States and the FCT.)
Continuous diversification to Agriculture, Mineral Extraction, Entertainment, Tourism, Film Industry, Information/Communication Technology, etc, etc,.
Re-organisation of the electoral process through necessary amendments to the ELECTORAL ACT, 2010?
Introduction of ELECTRONIC VOTING by 2023, in view of recent progress achieved by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in the electronic transmission of results from polling to collation centres in the recently concluded EDO GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION!
Re-furbish the existing refineries through OPEN transparent biddings, encourage the construction of new MODULAR REFINERIES through private sector incentives; re-visit the recent WATER REGULATION BILL to favour all stake holders and douse all areas of tension!
Total extermination of CORRUPTION from the polity, assuring all ACTIVISTS and PRESSURE groups that all forms of nepotism in government circles are eschewed to pacify the IPOB, MASSOB, OHAN’NEZE, O’ODUA, REVOLUTION NOW, etc, etc, “PAPER ALL CRACKS IN THE POLITY AND HEAL ALL THE AGGRIEVED”, then and only then can the current administration gain the co-operation of all and sundry for peace to reign supreme!
As a matter of urgency, creation of STATE POLICE for the 36 States of the Federation should occupy the front burner of President Buhari’s agenda for urgent execution. 
It is the Will of God that Nigeria should remain; ONE INDISSOLUBLE NATION and so it shall be forever and ever! WHAT GOD HAS JOINED TOGETHER, LET NO MAN PUT ASUNDER!
