It is no longer a secret that many Nigerian politicians have illicit monies acquired through corruption and stashed away in unscrupulous foreign banks which feast on fat interest rates to the detriment of compliance to international best practice in banking rules and regulations!

Leading the pack of hidden foreign loots is none other than the late Military dictator Sani Abacha, who occupied the position of Head of State of Nigeria for five years (1993-1998), successful transferred the entire Central Bank's Vault to foreign banks in his name!

In July 2023, it was established that the total recovered Abacha Loot stood at USD$5 billion dollars and the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered FOUR PAST GOVERNMENT to disclose, confirm and explain disbursement of the said amount which has been shrouded in mystery for 24 years!

The court ordered the government of President Bola Tinubu to “disclose the exact amount of money stolen by General Sani Abacha from Nigeria."

The Federal High Court in Abuja, in a landmark judgment, has ordered the disclosure of the spending details of about $5 billion Abacha loot by the governments of former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Yar’Adua, Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari within SEVEN DAYS of the ruling following a suit against the Federal Government by the Social-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP).

The court ordered the government of President Bola Tinubu to “disclose the exact amount of money stolen by General Sani Abacha from Nigeria, and the total amount of Abacha loot recovered and all agreements signed on same by the governments of former presidents Obasanjo, Yar’Adua, Jonathan and Buhari.”

It's over THREE MONTHS since the judgment and Mr. Tinubu's  All Progressives Congress is yet to come up with any report! Will those governments which display official impunity with relish continue to have their way

Saraki, Mark, Others In Trouble As Presidency Orders Probe Of Nigerians Named In Panama Papers ,August 19, 2016.

The senate president, Bukola Saraki, and his predecessor, David Mark, and other prominent Nigerians may soon be in trouble as the Presidency has ordered the investigation of present and past Nigerian officials named in the Panama Papers scandal. The chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, Sam Saba, confirmed the directive to PREMIUM TIMES. This newspaper had published leaked papers from a Panamanian law firm, Mossack Fonsecca, which were obtained by the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung.

The 2.6 TB files, involving 214,488 entities, exposed incredible secrets of the underworld economy, where a network of banks, law firms and other middlemen utilize shell companies, sometimes to hide illegal wealth.

PREMIUM TIMES identified at least 110 Nigerians and companies operating offshore shell companies in tax havens. Mr. Saba said the Presidency forwarded names of some persons mentioned in the Panama Papers, to the agency for investigation.

“I want to let you know that government has written to us and given us some names based on what they have been reading and hearing regarding that document,” Mr. Saba said.

He said as soon as the #PanamaPapers reporting started, the CCB attempted to get the full leaks until PREMIUM TIMES assisted it by making some details for its scrutiny.

Mr. Saba said the CCB, after studying the papers, has questions for some public officers in the country.

He would not, however, disclose the names of the affected public officers.

“I think it (Panama Papers) is going to be helpful because already we have some questions for certain public officers, which I will not be able to disclose at the moment. Until they finish answering those questions, I may not be able to discuss it,” he said.

The CCB boss said the agency took some time to respond because it could not secure the leaked documents.

“I tried to access the document via the internet, but I was required to subscribe and pay some money, which I didn’t have, M. Saba said.

It was revealed that Mr Peter obi also had money stashed away in offshore accounts identified as the PANDORA PAPERS, and failed to disclose his involvement in money laundering!

He denied any wrong doing, contested the 2023 Presidential Elections on which he came THIRD, but he's in court to claim the FIRST position!

QUESTIONS:

For how long will Nigerians continue to be thread roughshod by corrupt politicians from 1960-2023? 

All the candidates at the last 2023 Presidential Elections had black spots and dents in respect of dubious acquisition of illegal wealth and yet were voted for by a manipulated Electorate!

On Monday the 23rd of October 2023 the Supreme Court of Nigeria will give its judgement on the Appeals made by the runners up against the incumbent Bola Ahmed Tinubu!

Whichever way it goes Nigeria no longer needs a presidential system of government but a Unicameral PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM which will give opportunity to CLEAN PARLIAMENTARIANS from the grassroots to participate in governance henceforth.

 It is our firm belief that this system of government which WE HAVE ADVOCATED FOR TEN GOOD YEARS WILL COME TO FRUITION THROUGH A POPULAR REFERENDUM!

Nigerians will for a long time find it very difficult to come to terms with the contentious and sudden issue of petroleum subsidy removal!

The number one man on the day of his investiture committed policy error on a very delicate and sensitive issue to which no palliatives was in place to cushion negative socio-economic effects on the life of an entire population of over 220 million citizens of the vast country! 

Presently across the entire six geo-political zones of the country, there is scarcity of petroleum products especially the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly called Petrol although there are no long queues but the reasons are not far-fetched,!

International pump prices have skyrocketed to beyond NGN950 naira per litre because of the persistent Russia-Ukraine War, Afghanistan, Iran uprisings and now Gaza- Israel!  However, having unprofessionally pegged the new astronomical prices of "unsubsidized" petrol at NGN617naira from NGN195 naira - not excluding diesel which price hovers between NGN1400-1500  naira, INTERNATIONAL MARKET FORCES, was no longer of any effect and Mr. 'Bola Tinubu and his confused economic advisers have to swallow their pride and held on to NGN615 naira per litre which MUST be subsided!

QUESTION: WHAT OR WHO IS INTERNATIONAL MARKET FORCES? PRESIDENT TINIBU OR NNPCL?

As the organised Labor - NLC-TUC warmed up for a national showdown, of an indefinite nation-wide strike, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited, hurriedly announced that Nigeria's PMS pump price remained NGN615 naira per litre! "Subsidy is gone? But Subsidy is back through the BACK DOOR" because the NNPCL -  sole importer of petroleum products would definitely pay the differentials!

CAN ANYONE GIVE OUT WHAT HE DOES NOT POSSES OR BUILD SOMETHING ON NOTHING? NO!!

 One month ago when international market forces pushed prices to between NGN800 -850 naira the Group Managing Director (GMD);of the NNPCL panicky announced that pump price of petrol in Nigeria remained NGN615 naira! But sooner than later, the whole unholy and illicit racket of decades of the SUBSIDY SCAM would burst open scandalously and heads will roll!

President Tinubu has nothing to offer Nigeria! He should bow out voluntarily if he is honourable!

At the last count Tinubu has officially employed over 50 ministers over 25 special advisers and has moved on to dish out juicy appointments to heads of Ministries, Departments, Agencies and parastatals who would not work for free!

Tinubu appoints new heads for CAC, SMEDAN, others

President Bola Tinubu on Friday 13th October, 2023 approved the appointment of new  Chief Executive Officers of some agencies and parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment.

In a statement released on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser (Media & Publicity), Ajuri Ngelale, the appointment is in line with Tinubu’s resolve to base Nigeria’s economic revival on the foundation of trade expansion through small, medium, and large-scale industry facilitation in the country. 

The appointments take immediate effect.

Those appointed are, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN -Corporate Affairs Commission;  Afiz Ogun Oluwatoyin -Industrial Training Fund; Kamar Bakrin- National Sugar Development Council; Olufemi Ogunyemi- Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority; and Nonye Ayeni -Nigeria Export Promotion Council.

Others are,  Aisha Rimi-Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission; Bamanga Usman Jada- Oil & Gas Free Zone Authority; Charles Odii- Small & Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria; Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke- Standards Organisation of Nigeria; Rabiu Olowo-Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria; Anthony Atuche, CFA – Nigeria Commodities Exchange; Veronica Safiya Ndanusa- Lagos International Trade Fair Complex; Lucia Shittu-Tafawa Balewa Square Management Board; and Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin- National Automotive Design and Development Council

The statement added that “President Bola Tinubu expects all new appointees in this critical sector to optimally deliver in accordance with new key performance indicating benchmarks as established by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment”.

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new and returning Chief Executives to fresh terms in office across multiple agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy:

2) MD / CEO, Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT) — Nkechi Egerton-Idehen

3) DG / CEO, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) — Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi

4) National Commissioner / CEO, Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) — Dr. Vincent Olatunji

5) Postmaster General / CEO, Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) — Tola Odeyemi

What is the total debt burden of Nigeria?

The Debt Management Office (DMO), stated, “Nigeria's total public debt stock as at June 30, 2023, was N87. 38tn ($113.42bn). It comprises the total domestic and external debts of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the thirty-six states, and the Federal Capital Territory. “The major addition to the Public Debt Stock was the inclusion of the N22.15 Sept 2023!

This is a 75% increase of additional debt burden in THREE MONTHS and yet Tinubu is ready to BORROW AND PAY SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES to his retinue of political jobbers but he will not succeed! IS MR. PRESIDENT HIBERNATING? DID HE CATCH COLD OVER CHICAGO CERTIFICATE CONTROVERSIES?

The low-key profile celebration of the 63rd Anniversary of Nigeria's Independence as a sovereign nation has taken away the beehive of activities for which the Aso Rock State House, Abuja occupants are accostomed to!

For instance since Mr.Tinubu's return from the 78th Edition of the United Nations General Assembly Summit (#UNGA 78), held in New York United States of America in the month of September 2023, incumbent President 'Bola Tinubu  deliberately kept indoors while his Vice Kashim Shettima has been running the show from the side lines!

Tinubu stealthily returned on 29th September 2023, one week after his entourage had arrived Nigeria without fanfare and while the citizens began to raise eye brows, somebody popped up on TV on 1st October 2023 and made some funny announcements centred mostly on averting the impending organized labour indefinite showdown which was to commence on the 3rd October 2023!

The person who appeared on television promised many things to cushion the hard/biting effects of sudden and unthoughtful removal of the so-called petroleum scam popular referred to as subsidy!

 And the desperate two-day negotiations that followed from 1st -2nd October 2023 and which did not directly involve Mr. President, announcement was made that across board all Federal Civil Servants/MDAs would from September collect additional NGN35,000 naira plus the NGN30,000 minimum wage until  negotiations for WOKERS FRESH MINIMUM WAGES were concluded.

The Man on TV on 1st October 2023 also said among other things that efforts would be made to fast-track the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Buses, Cars and Trucks that would bring down cost of transportation and also that the very poor Nigerians whom they claimed to have identified would also be upgraded with THREE-MONTH MONEY PALLIATIVES OF NGN25K NAIRA also as  temporary measures!

IS PRESIDENTIAL SPOKESPERSON AJURI NGELALE SACKED?

Nigerians have been wondering why outcome of Government/Labor negotiations announcement was made by a top official of Mr. Tinubu's government in the Presidency and whereas the official spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale had returned to Nigeria from New York where he was very active and made several  announcements but suddenly has become noticeably silent!

Question: Where is Ajuri Ngelale and why has Mr President kept indoors since he returned from the United States of America? The last we heard of Ajuri had to do with negative publications about how the media established that he had gaffed severally on duty while trying to promote the SHATTERED IMAGE of Mr 'Bola Tinubu during his short appointment of less than three months! Could his appointment also be termed " one of the jobs for the boys?"

THE NIPR HAS AN AXE TO GRIND WITH MR. NGALALE NON-QUALIFICATION JUST AS ATIKU WITH MR. TINUBU'S CSU CERTIFICATE!

Media reports claim that Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has queried the qualification and competence of Ajuri Ngelale to speak for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following recent gaffes in the statement he released on behalf of his boss.

Ngelale, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was recently in the eyes of the storm over a statement he issued following the ringing of the closing bell by the President at NASDAQ Exchange last week.

He also committed another gaffe when he falsely claimed that the United Arab Emirates had lifted visa restrictions on Nigerians following a meeting between the country’s President and President Tinubu.

Reacting to the gaffes, NIPR said that Ngelale was ordinarily not ‘fit’ to hold the exalted position he now occupies in the Tinubu Presidency because he lacked the basic knowledge and requisite training on public relations.

Speaking in this vein, the newly elected council of NIPR under the leadership of Dr. Ike Neliaku said while Ngelale’s journalism pedigree, antecedents and credentials are not in doubt, he is legally not qualified for the current job he is doing at the Presidency.

FACT CHECKS BY SAHARA REPORTERS ALSO CLAIMED THAT NGELALE WAS NOT PR COMPLIANT!

Checks by SaharaReporters show that the NIPR, which was established in 1963 as the professional body of qualified Public Relations Practitioners, attained charter status in 1990 with Decree 16 (now Act of the National Assembly.

In January 2019, the NIPR said based on its law, it is a criminal offence to appoint spokespersons without certification in public relations.

Quoting Muhktar Sirajo, the then NIPR President, the statement read: “There are laid down rules about appointing spokespersons; the law establishing NIPR makes it a criminal offence for anybody to practise public relations by whatever name without certification or licensed by NIPR.

 “There are set parameters of knowledge you need to acquire before you can practice public relations. The law actually provides for imprisonment, fine, or both.

“The government is either unaware of, or has forgotten that there is a law that says you cannot practice Public Relations, PR, without licence from the NIPR. In essence, the government too cannot appoint a spokesperson if that person is not licensed by the NIPR.”

One of the governing council members who reportedly spoke in confidence said, “We have checked our records and membership register and we could not find Ajuri Ngelale in the list. One can be a good writer, broadcaster or journalist but there are set parameters of knowledge a communicator needs to acquire including qualification before he/she can practice Public Relations in Nigeria.

PRESIDENCY APOLOGIES!

Meanwhile, the Presidency later admitted that it goofed by issuing a corrigendum on Friday, saying, “We inadvertently referred to President Bola Tinubu as the first African leader to ring the bell at NASDAQ on Wednesday in New York, based on the information provided by a third-party event organiser.

 “We have since found out that this information was/is incorrect as a former African leader has indeed had the privilege.

 “This error is sincerely regretted.”

ADDENDUM: TINUBU'S AMERICAN JAMBOREE!

President Bola Tinubu returned to Nigeria after a week of silence on his whereabouts at the end of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

There were concerns about the president’s itinerary after members of the delegation which accompanied him to the US returned to the country.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar; Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, as well as the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, were among those who accompanied him to the US.

Presidential spokesman,  Ajuri Ngelale, had been silent on the location of Tinubu who departed New York on September 22.

The president’s whereabouts were unknown until he returned to Nigeria on Friday night, 29th September 2023, although unconfirmed reports had it that he flew to Paris from New York.

Who is a magician? A magician is a trickster, dribbler, liar and deceiver like ex- Nigerian military President Ibrahim Babangida - famous for several failures on delivery of socio-economic dividends and hand-over dates between 1985-1993 before he was ousted through superior tactics of maximum ruler, late General Sanni Abacha in 1993!

What magicians do?

Magicians perform illusions to mystify and entertain audiences. They use quick hand movements and a variety of other techniques to perform classic tricks such as pulling coins from their audience bodies, live bat out of a hat or making an handkerchief disappear!

Who is the trending Magician? 

He is no other than Mr. 'Bola Ahmed Tinubu, (BAT), whom the wife breached protocol at the public gathering and defended vehemently as victim of bad inheritance of the myriads of all socio-economic/insecurity woes of previous administrations!

According to 'Remi, "We just returned from #UNGA 78 where we interacted with several FOREIGN INVESTORS who are expected to come soon to support and improve the economy!"

And whereas Mr.BAT is a man with two identities - who belongs to the Birds Family in the day time but the Animal Kingdom at night  - courtesy Yoruba Folklore!

'REMI TINUBU, BREACHED PROTOCOL AT THE HOLY GATHERING IN A MANNER REMINISCENT OF THE MARRIAGE VOW OF "FOR BETTER FOR WORSE"!

If Mr.Tinubu is not a Magician:

1) Why did he announce at his inaugural speech, 29th May 2023 that petroleum products subsidy was removed when he was aware that no palliative of any type had been put in place to cushion the ripple negative effects of the announcement which in fact was not part of his speech? (A little bird just whispered that Mr. Tinubu erroneously translated his Yoruba dialect ("subsidi to ti lo yen,"meaning, that unappropriated subsidy which is already on its way out), to English since he was privy to the fact that the outgoing administration did not appropriate funds for subsidy!

2) Why, on realising his very costly error of negligence which birthed the twin disaster of immediate scarcity and skyrocket prices of between N500-1,000 naira across the 774 LGAs, failed to do the needful by immediately reversing the unfortunate gaffe to its original price of N195 naira only on full assumption of office?

3) It is FOUR months of agony, pains, sufferings, deaths of innocent Nigerians who had no inkling of why their lives must always be messed up by those who canvassed for their votes to become leaders-turned LOOTERS OF THE TREASURY of this country. 

4) Quality of life is at its lowest and basest: Civil servants and their MDA counterparts parastatal workers not excluding workers in the private sector at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja NOW WORK AND LIVE IN THEIR VARIOUS OFFICES - Mondays to Fridays because they could not afford daily highly-exorbitant transportation fares of Mr. President's POLICY SOMERSAULT!

5) The monumental cost of living as inflation is between 40 to 50% and PMS up to the end of September 2023 hovers between N617 naira to 1000 naira from its initial N195naira depending on location in the country!

6) The removal of subsidy is biting hard on all sectors of the economy and as long as importation of foreign goods and services finished products especially petroleum subsist, inflation will continue to skyrocket. 

7) Why has Tinubu failed to bridge all DRIVERS OF INFLATION RATES which consist of exchange rates, persistent insecurities. lack of electricity, lack of affordable PMS but claims to be either an Accountant or an Economist? Who is deceiving who? 

8)  As at the time of this publication the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), published that food inflation is over two digits of 22.4% - but Nigerians know that is untrue and 'Remi says her husband is not a magician! Food inflation is between 300-500% all over the nations' markets without exception!

9) The TRUTH remains that the DOLLARISATION of the Nigerian economy has already resulted in overvaluation of the naira and which the INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND (IMF), is very concerned about.

PLEASE FIND BELOW EXCERPTS OF MR. TINUBU'S BELATED ANNIVERSARY SPEECH AS PUBLISHED ON SUNDAY 1ST OCTOBER 2023, AS ORGANIZED LABOUR PLANNED INDEFINITE STRIKE FROM 3RD OCTOBER 2023!

1) Painful reforms undertaken by the government, (subsidy removal and foreign exchange unification) must be endured by all as it is temporary.

2) Government is doing all it can to ease the load by;

3) The introduction of N25,000 provisional wage increment to “average low-grade” workers for the next six months.

4) Provision of fund states to provide relief packages against the impact of rising food and other prices.

5) To ease transport costs, new Compressed Natural Gas conversion kits are expected to arrive soon while the government is also setting up training facilities across the country for transport operators.

6) While the special investigator instituted to probe the Central Bank of Nigeria under the past leadership will be presenting its report soon, the bank’s new leadership will provide monetary policy to benefit all.

7) The tax reform embarked upon will improve the efficiency of tax administration and address impediments to the country’s economic growth.

8) In addressing unemployment and poverty, the government is increasing its investment in MSMEs. This is in addition to the 15 million vulnerable households that will be added to the extended social safety net.

9) Priority will be given to the safety of citizens.

10)  The military will be equipped to function optimally while the service chiefs have also been tasked to rebuild the capacity of the country’s security services.

THE WAY FORWARD!

* The power sector must be prioritised to support industrial production and manufacturing human capacity development.

* Industrialisation needs energy, power, petrochemical iron and steel to make impact for the foreign exchange needs of the Nation.

*President and his kitchen cabinet should stop deceiving themselves. His speech writer made It so common and very unsavory!

*  Nigerians are wiser ! He should bow to IMF demands and DEVALUE THE NAIRA in order to get the needed foreign exchange to purchase Condensed Natural Gas (CNG) buses, that would solve Mass Transportation from year 2014!

* In the meantime he should order a reversal of PMS TO ITS PREVIOUS PRICE OF N195naira;

* Mr.Tinubu should champion a BILL FOR REFERENDUM through which Nigerians will vote for a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT which is grassroot oriented and which will remove all the existing problems and insecurities which are now persistent. 

This is the only way he can redeem his entirely lost image because HE IS A MAGICIAN PAR EXCELLENCE!
