Here are some excerpts: “If you are conscious of the existence of God and you have accepted His son Jesus Christ, as your Lord and Saviour, then you are in a position of a cordial relationship with Him. It is written, ‘Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.’ [II Cor. 5: 17]; meaning that God in His infinite mercies terminates the ‘old man’ of sin and replaces him with the ‘new man’, the Lord Jesus Christ, the saviour of the world. However, certain attitudes of man can still disqualify or alienate him from God’s holy presence. For instance, a constant life of iniquity, in the midst of a carnal world; [Isa.6:5, cp. V.1-4 and 6-8], must be shunned because the LORD, in grace, requires that none should perish, ‘…..but that all should come to repentance.’ [II Pet.3: 9]. ”Since our debut, Biblical doctrines on spiritual discernment, reverence, obedience, worship, adoration and glorification of our Creator, remained permanent reference issues, running through every edition. In the Biblical account of CREATION and not the scientific theory of EVOLUTION, God completed His assignment in seven calendar days and not several centuries! Through the first human couple, Adam and Eve, world population has multiplied into over SEVEN BILLION mass of people across the length and breadth of the Earth, as God commanded in the Book of Genesis: 1:28-29. What we have today as technological high-definition and digitalized world, began as a result of the global dispersion of the multitude, who ingeniously produced an architectural master-piece, embarked on the construction of a city and a sky scrapper, biblically known as the TOWER OF BABEL that would reach to the Heavens! According to Genesis.11:1-9 account;

*the whole world (ie. the post dilluvian remnants of the universal flood), had one language and a common speech;

*they moved eastward, found a plain called SHINAR and settled there;

* they moulded and baked bricks thoroughly, substituted bricks for stones and tar for mortar, for the ‘laudable project’, because of the scarcity of stone and mortar in the region where they intended to make a name for themselves so as not to be scattered by God, over the face of the earth!

*In verses 5-9, of this biblical account, (compare,Gen.10:8-13), God perceived that their motive for unity was self-aggrandizing, rebellious and designed to dominate His creation. He therefore, confused their language and scattered them over the face of the whole earth!

Those self-conceited leaders, no doubt bequeathed the idea of autocracy and despotism to the present generation, who had consistently suppressed popular opinions in respect of TRUE FEDERALISM and were always ready to kill and maim to maintain status quo of being the overlords with the iron fists!

ARE THEY GOD CONSCIOUS?

Look around you and observe the wide gulf between the rich and the poor, the dichotomy between the lifestyles of leaders and their followers and you would not need a soothsayer to tell you that majority of world leaders are in government to get rich at the expense of the poor masses!

In the EARLY CHURCH GOVERNMENT, there was the close-knitted fellowship among believers in which no one lacked the basic necessities of life because all available resources were distributed according to NEEDS! [Acts.2:42-47; 4:32-37].

What obtains now in most nations is the greedy acquisition and brazen possession of the COMMONWEALTH by a minority group who also, with impunity, deploy security agencies, funded with tax-payers money, to oppress any form of opposition by the people.

*Recently, a similitude of the “Tower of Babel” conference was replicated in Nigeria when 492 wise men and women, were gathered together from the six – geo political zones to brainstorm on how to move the country forward!

But it ended abruptly through Divine intervention because it was another conduit pipe of sharing the NATIONAL CAKE to some few in the divide-and-rule game by the incumbent administration, to keep the Nigerian masses in perpetual slavery in their own fatherland! Is not an undisputable truth that all monies that accrue to the Federal and State governments of Nigeria and other nations of the world ARE SQUEZED FROM THE BLOOD AND SWEAT OF THE SO-CALLED COMMON PEOPLE ON THE STREETS, WHO IN TURN ARE TREATED WITH DISDAIN IGNOMINY!

In spite of the fact that the 492 hand-picked delegates could not reach consensus on the REAL ISSUE OF TRUE FEDERALISM because of hidden motives and agenda which were already revealed to GOD, over N7billion naira went into selective pockets in respect of an issue that was a ‘done-deal’, before commencement!

*THEY HAD TO FAIL BECAUSE GOD CONFUSED THEIR LANGUAGE!

(1) They were divided over Derivation Principle, ie. the percentage to be paid to Mineral Producing States(Areas)!

(2) Most delegates from the North supported that the current 13 per cent derivation formula should remain.

(3) The Southern delegates, demanded between 21.5 to 50 per cent!

(4) They also disagreed over the recommended, Stabilization, Reconstruction and Development Fund, for the States that were ravaged by insurgency and terrorism!

(5) These disagreements lingered for seven days, July 8 to15, 2014, when “50 wiser men and women” were selected by Mr. Chairman and his advisory team, to ‘think-tank’, for the rest and report back on August 4, 2014!

(6) In view of glaring North and South divide, they believed that the period would create avenue for wider consultations with their “home groups” and also enable them to collate other recommendations that would be forwarded to Mr. President in August 2014!

(7) Acceptable terms of co-existence between the diverse tribes and tongues could not be reached as conference wound up in view of the polarization of interests!

(8) They described the contentious issues as TECHNICAL IN NATURE and that ONLY MR. PRESIDENT could handle them by setting up ANOTHER COMMITTEE comprising, professionals, experts, advisers and technocrats! All delegates voted in agreement to the recommendation!

The conference which began in March, was originally scheduled to hold for three months, but was extended to enable delegates finish the onerous task which could pave way to ironing out contentious areas of the constitution that needed urgent amendments.

Is it not very clear, even to the dumbest, that the gathering was a mere diversionary ploy to paved way for CONTINUITY since the assignment had been returned to sender uncompleted!

Their major assignment was to ‘Chart a New Nigeria of our Dreams’, and re-structure the platform to ensure a feasible system, that would embrace all interests of the diversified people!

Nigerians, (except the politicians), have all complained about wastages in governance since the adoption of a presidential system in 1999 which encouraged stupendous appropriation on salaries, allowances and other emoluments like gratuity and pensions after FOUR YEARS of the politicians “service” to the nation!

We have witnessed mass looting of the treasury through failed leadership policies which have produced emergency billionaires who now terrorize the impoverished Nigerians with siren-fitted, bullet-proof Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs), and state-of-the-art PRIVATE JETS which have forced both the, commercial and NIGERIA AIR FORCE aircrafts out of our airspace, in spite of the airmen indispensability at this critical moment of insurgency!

Modern World leaders cannot practice the True Federalism of the Early Church

because, most of them are agents of Satan who, as the prince of this world in charge of all ephemeral and mundane things, controls their minds and hearts to trust only in physical possessions and not the truth of the Word of God which says, “Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life…..what shall we eat…..drink……wear?…..for the pagans run after these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” [Matthew. 6:25-34].

The adoption of True Federalism (TF), as a system of government should henceforth be the only acceptable norm in every country of the world for the following incontestable reasons:

* TF, is the real path, the Biblical ‘narrow road’, that leads to life/secured future and only few find it. [Matt.7:14].

*TF creates room for more decentralization and greater devolution of power.

*TF allows for States to develop at their own pace with less dependence on a CORRUPT AND INEPT CENTRE!

*TF creates the enabling atmosphere for massive infrastructural and socio-economic development of the various parts of the country which, in turn, allows for healthy economic rivalries among the Federating States.

*TF creates the platform of financial empowerment for States to contribute quality percentages of earnings from natural resources to the centre for expedient and critical national expenditures.

*TF could also be in the form of a bigger sub-national structure of Nigeria’s six-geo political zones, instead of the creation of additional States, which would give every corrupt political jobber the opportunity of being addressed as an “Excellency”!

Although the Conference accepted the recommendation of its Committee on Politics and Governance, to return Nigeria to a ‘true federal structure’, with the States as federating units, and for States to create local governments as they deemed necessary, they FAILED TO REJECT THE PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM of massive fund wastage, which has engendered systemic and endemic corruption to the detriment of the masses!

The United States of America, a nation of immigrants, populated with over 300 million people of different nationalities, stands out to be the best democracy the world has ever known because its governance is based on the principles of True Federalism!

MO IBRAHIM’S FOUNDATION IS A MISPLACED PRIORITY FOR AFRICAN PRESIDENTS! A Sudanese-British philanthropist and Communications Entrepreneur, Dr. Mohammed “Mo” Ibrahim was born at the end of the Second World War, grew up in the African Continent that is allergic to modern civilization/ digitization and also piloted by several self-centred, corrupt and avaricious leaders to the detriment of their illiterate masses! In 2006, he established a Foundation with a focus on the critical importance of credible leadership to actualize his cherished dream of good governance amongst the present crop of African Presidents, through a very generous monetary retirement benefits, bigger than the Nobel Price! In addition, such a President is globally highlighted as a ROLE MODEL and Africa continues to benefit from the experience and expertise of his exceptional leadership as he is enabled to continue in other public roles on the Continent. The Mo Ibrahim’s Foundation defines governance, “as the provision of the political, social and economic goods that a citizen has a right to expect from his or her State and a State has the responsibility to deliver to its citizens.” Sadly, African Presidents have not measured up to the lofty ideals of this honourable organisation as only THREE of them have received the exorbitant prize money in EIGHT YEARS and the logical conclusion to this “APATHY” is their ALLERGY TO CHANGE! Most African Presidents venture into office to savour the power, pomp pageantry, spoils of office and consequently amass all the corresponding wealth which accrue in the process of time, to the advantage of their families and cronies; not the masses! Accountability in office is taboo because their hidden agenda is to perpetuate themselves and conduct government as private property which assets were never declared since the nation’s funds are usually invested to amass more wealth to the advantage of the ruling class! Whereas, the purpose of the laudable Foundation is to challenge those in Africa and the world to debate what constitutes excellence in leadership, the standards of credibility set for the prize are high and the number of eligible candidates, very few, which makes it most unlikely for the coveted prize to be awarded annually. Most African Presidents cannot wait or depend on philanthropy after the opulence of office where there was opportunity to appropriate billions of dollars to themselves and this attitude has rendered Mo Ibrahim’s Foundation a moribund venture from inception a shattered dream and a misplaced priority! It is common knowledge that good testimonies were always celebrated while bad ones are kept secret. This explains why the super-rich African Presidents would rather keep mute over their assets and leave the inquisitive to keep guessing! The following quotation was the outburst of the Nigerian President, who in 2013 during a Media Chat exhibited anger against being coerced into public assets declaration: “The issue of assets declaration is a matter of principle. I don’t give a damn about it, if you want to criticise me from Heaven. The issue of public declaration, I think is playing to the gallery. You don’t need to publicly declare any assets. If I am somebody who wants to hide, it is what I tell you that you will believe.” We cannot blame Mr. President from being very blunt, after all, the size of a leader’s purse, reveals the transparency portfolio of government because it is POSSIBLE FOR SOME PRESIDENTS TO BE RICHER THAN THEIR COUNTRIES! On 9 August, 2007, as Vice President, Mr. Jonathan bowed to pressure and publicly declared a total net worth assets of N.295.304.420.00 Billion, because he had “nothing to hide”, according to his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs! We believe that this issue might be very delicate and dicey - seven years after the last declaration- because that figure would have attracted more deposits in form of salaries, allowances, interests, commissions and might be astronomical to provoke PUBLIC PANIC AND OUTCRY ON THE EVE OF AN ELECTION YEAR! We were also informed that before 1999, Mr. Jonathan – as a civil servant -declared his assets on seven consecutive occasions and therefore empathize with his frustration and outburst! However, we counsel that the time is now ripe for Nigeria to re-apply to join the global anti-corruption body called OPEN GOVERNMENT PARTNERSHIP [OGP], which boasts of the membership of SIXTY major countries since investiture in 2011 and to which Ghana, Liberia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi and South Africa are members and which is now viewed globally as a mark of a country’s high transparency standard. Nigeria was rejected twice because of negative corruption indexes of previous years! OGP emphasizes member governments’ commitments to promote transparency, empower citizens, fight corruption and use new technologies to strengthen governance. Last week Wednesday, the social media came alive with the news of the categorisation of world’s richest AFRICAN PRESIDENTS and KINGS, by the US-website of ‘Richest Lifestyle’. Nigeria’s Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and King Mswati III of Swaziland, tied in the SIXTH position with an estimated net worth of $100million US Dollars each! Nigeria’s Aso Villa wasted no time in denying the report with a threat of litigation in the absence of retraction and apologies for the embarrassment caused to Mr President. Others on that list from the first position are: 1.Jose Eduardo dos Santos of Angola -$20BillionUSD; 2.Mohammed VI of Morocco, -$2.5Billion USD; 3,Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea,- $600Million USD; 4.Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, -$500Million USD;500Million; 7.Idris Deby of Chad, $50Million; and 8.Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe,- $10MillionUSD. It is certain that there would be more denials from the government and thrones listed on that website as the days go by. KING SOLOMON did not have to declare his net worth assets because he inherited all of them through GOD who made him the wisest and Richest King the world has ever known and would ever know, but the Bible still recorded the net worth assets of Solomon’s immense wealth as over $174.040.602.660.00Trillion US Dollars. [1Kings.9:1-10:29]. When riches and wealth are legally acquired, there would be no need for secrecy about public declaration as was confirmed by the Holy Spirit, in the case of our highly revered King of the Old Testament Bible. However the concern of our editorial board on these revelations has raised the following questions: 1. Were people forced or conscripted into public offices which demanded faithful allegiance and obedience to all statutory laws of government? 2. Do public officials believe in accountability to the citizens whom the constitution recognizes as the POWER BROKERS? 3. Do they realize that while in public office, they have become public figures- to be criticised, harassed or intimidated from time to time in respect of good or bad policies of government? 4. Why would they get angry or aggrieved for being subjected to the masses demands and agitations? The following, is the Bible’s record of King Solomon’s divine favour: At Gibeon, the LORD appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” Solomon answered, “You have shown great kindness to your servant, my father David, because he was faithful to you and righteous and upright in heart. You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day. Now, O LORD my God, you made your servant king in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties. Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” The LORD was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will give you a wise and discerning heart so that there will never have been anyone like you nor will there ever be. Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for- both riches and honour- so that in your lifetime, you will have no equal among kings. And if you walk in my ways and obey my statutes and commands as David your Father did, I will give you a long life.”[1Kings.3:5-14] Can the Nigeria still boast of men like King Solomon who asked for the Spirit of Wisdom and Discernment instead of those of Riches and Vengeance? The answer is YES because CREDIBLE CITIZENS are now urging Nigeria to join OPEN GOVERNMENT PARTNERSHIP and entrench transparency in government as the necessary tool to turn the followership around for the necessary support and co-operation that would move the country to greater level of economic progress as we approach a new year of general elections which had been predicted by the detractors as a year of schism and break-up for our great nation. They have predicted a “casting down”, but we prophesy a “lifting up” for Nigeria and Africa! (John.8:32). 54 YEARS OF NIGERIA’S “BREAD AND BUTTER” POLITICS! Politics in Nigeria is a game of moving in the direction of where your interests are best catered for; where your “bread is well-buttered”! No wonder the recently-concluded National Conference Delegates still endorsed the Nigerian CUSTOMIZED PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM of wastages in government through which most appropriations of the nation’s commonwealth are consumed by RECURRENT EXPENDITURES in every annual budget while CAPITAL PROJECTS of pseudo electioneering campaign promises, take the back seat! From Independence in 1960, the Nigerian politician had the penchant for opulence which he admired in the Colonial Master’s lifestyle during his long years of APPRENTICISHIP! He could hardly wait for the UNION JACK to be lowered for him to dip his hand into the PEOPLE’S TILL to consummate his covetous desires! Historians cannot easily forget the treasury-looting of the FIRST REPUBLIC championed by none other than the SECERTARY OF THE EXCHEQUER [Minister of Finance], custodian of the commonwealth and his partners in crime and the back-lash of several military coups and the lingering economic retrogression being witnessed 54 years on! Let no one deceive Nigerians about the economic jargons that the country recorded the highest Gross Domestic Product [GDP] In Africa and also adjudged the 26 in the world, when over 70% of 170million citizens live below the poverty line, (one US dollar and fifty-cents per day) and when more than 60% of able-bodied and employable youths, mostly university graduates are unemployed! What is the meaning of Nigeria being the ENTREPRENEURIAL DESTINATION OF AFRICA, when all businesses destined for Nigeria are usually hijacked by SURROGATES AND PORTFOLIO CONTRACTORS of those at the helm of affairs in Government! Let us beam the searchlight on all Ministries, Departments and Agencies [MDG’s] of Government and even the Household of God since independence and we will see exactly the abominable and detestable acts of covetousness, avarice, self aggrandizement, rivalry, back-stabbing and acts of all forms of idolatory, lying divinations, witchcraft and wizardry, which Prophet Ezekiel saw in a VISION in 597BC! [Ezekiel.8:1-9:11; 11:1-15; 13:1-23]. Those visions are still very real in this dispensation of the end-time! Are our Political Chief Executives and their stooges (since 1960), not been patronizing SHRINES, CHURCHES, MOSQUES, DIVINERS, SORCERERS, ENCHANTERS, FALSE PROPHETS AND PROPHETESSES, MARABOUTS, SOOTHSAYERS, FORTUNE TELLERS, METAPHYCISISTS, MAGICIANS and their likes to acquire, “power” to subdue the masses and remain in elective offices forever? Have the members of this present ruling party not boasted that they WOULD RULE NIGERIA FOR 100YEARS? On whose authority did they base their assumption if not on the occult support of Satan and his fallen angels? Their strategy is fashioned after the constitution of the venomous OCTOPUS, a sea creature with a soft oval body, which possesses EIGHT tentacles (very long and vicious arm-like parts round-about), with which it hunts for its preys! The Octopus never lacks in victuals with the advantage of its TENTACLES! In comparison, the Octopus in government employs the tactics of a well-conceived defection of its members (tentacles), to other parties to infiltrate their ranks under the pretexts of lack of “internal democracy” and after winning elections on those external platforms, return with a large crowd of compromised and covetous “new members”, to boost their ranks for subsequent elections! Right now, an unbridled athletic cross-carpeting and criss-crossing from one political party to another, has become the order of the day in Nigeria, as the 2015 General Elections approach without recourse to stipulations in the 1999 Constitution. Chapter 5, Part I, Sections 68(1-3), 69(a-b) and Part II Sections 109(1-3) and 110 (a-b), applicable to Federal and State Legislators, in respect of TENURE OF SEATS OF MEMBERS and RECALL PROCEDURE, stipulate that ABSENTISM AND DEFECTION, should be punished with the RECALL of defaulting legislators through petitions of loss of confidence by more than one-half members of their constituencies. The Constitution states as follows: “A member of the Senate or of the House of Representatives shall vacate his seat in the House of which he is a member if….(1)(g), ….being a person whose election to the House was sponsored by a political party, he becomes a member of another political party before the expiration of the period for which that House was elected: Provided that his membership of the latter political party is not as a result of a division in the political party of which he was previously a member or of a merger of two or more political parties or factions by one of which he was previously sponsored;…..” How many legislators have, members of their constituencies successfully recalled in the past 54 years, or especially, in the last 15 years of our fresh attempt at “democracy”, when, this attitude of defection became a free-for-all affair? A serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in a very recent televised global interview, affirmed that ideologies and manifestoes of major political parties were virtually the same – authored by one man – a late Minister of Justice and Federal Attorney-General of the Federation- which makes any of these parties a veritable platform through which politicians could express political ambitions! The Senator in question is an authority on the subject of CROSS-CARPETING, having migrated into FIVE parties within eleven years of THREE GENERAL ELECTIONS [2003-2014]! The Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], which took over from the military and has clung to power since 1999, controls and appropriates monies accruing from CRUDE OIL, AGRICULTURAL AND MINERAL RESOURCES sales, through annual budgets usually expended on juicy weekly-billion naira contracts by the illegal Federal Executive Council (FEC) meetings, which is not recognized by the Constitution! Award of contracts is the responsibility of the, Federal Ministry of Finance as guided by the Appropriation Act/Due Process and not the party caucus! Many Nigerian politicians, the likes of our distinguished Senator, who lack scruples and purity of soul, always manoeuvre with well-calculated strategies to become members of any winning or ruling party, provided they could always have their regular shares of the “national cake”! Though corruption is not supported by the Constitution, accusations of corruption by the citizens are readily countered, resisted and denied by government officials! Where is the forensic audit report instituted to unravel the “missing or unremitted” $20bllion USD from the financial accounts of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation [NNPC], by the Minister of Finance, several months ago? Why would the ruling party operate, illegal financial accounts of the Sovereign Wealth Fund and the Excess Crude Oil, when the 1999 Constitution recognizes only one Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Federation, into which all accruable revenues of the Nigerian nation should be deposited? From which of the above ACCOUNTS are the regular Legislators quarterly CONSTITUENCY ALLOWANCES of billions of naira paid? Why was Transformation Agenda of Nigeria [TAN], a pro-Jonathan campaign organization, allowed by Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC], to freely campaign in the past one year for continuity in government, on bill-boards, television, radio and newspapers, to the detriment of the ELECTOTATE and in contravention of the Electoral Laws and process without legal sanctions? How did President Jonathan emerge as the consensus candidate of the ruling party, in spite of the “GENTLEMAN’S AGREEMENT OF, ‘ONE TERM ONLY’?” Why did the PDP’s faction of “Nigeria Governor’s Forum” [NGF], the National Working Committee,[NWC], the Board Of Trustees, [BOT], a faction of the House of Representatives members, the Women’s and Youth Wings, approve the consensus agenda? There is only one answer to all of the above questions: ENDEMIC CORRUPTION OF THE SYSTEM AND THE INORDINATE AMBITION OF THE NIGERIAN POLITICIANS SINCE THEIR CREATION BY GOD! Let us check the ensuing and very ugly portfolios of these carnal beings: (a)Those who had NO SHOES, aspire to break the former Philippine’s First Lady’s record of a wardrobe of 5.000 shoes! (b)Those who have completed the mandatory EIGHT YEARS as governors want to retire into the cosy chambers of the SENATE and continue the accumulation of wealth in addition to RETIREMENT BENEFITS of houses, vehicles, pension entitlements and employment of a retinue of paid-servants, which run into billions of naira of their States tax payers’ money! (c)All PDP Legislators, including the incumbent Senate President, intend to return unopposed; (d)The custodians of the Secretariat machinery are also poised to maintain status quo or be elevated into the POLITICAL PLAYING FIELD! Everyone in the ruling party is anxious about his/her “tomorrow”! HERE ARE SOME EXCERPTS OF THE INTERVIEW OF THE CROSS-CARPET RECORD HOLDER: (1)On corruption: “It is endemic in Nigeria…no nation is corruption free. The student who malpractices in examination, the Teacher who connives with candidates to cheat with answer sheets, the Parent who buys the original question papers in advance, are all corrupt…..in fact we are all corrupt to some extent! Lack of basic amenities of life and abject poverty in the society could also breed corruption.” (2)On appropriation: “No agency or statutory organ of government must expend funds without the legal appropriation by the National Assembly; any agency that indulges in such attitude should be sanctioned” (3)On rule of law: “President Jonathan is a gentleman who conforms with the rule of law….he is a man of liberal disposition!” (4)On Cross-carpeting: “This is the beauty of democratic principles….there is no difference in parties’ ideologies… “to jump ship” is a kind of revolutionary process since parties are mere platforms to prepare for elections.” The distinguished Senator began his political career with the All Progressive Party [APP] and cross-carpeted in the following fashion to; Alliance for Democracy [AD], Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN], All Progressive Congress [APC], and back to PDP in that order; BUT NOW TO “CONTEST AS MR. GOVERNOR” in the 2015 General Elections, having thrown ethics and morality to the dogs! You cannot blame these set of gamblers who possess the common trait of GODLESSNESS and are always poised to either swim or sink in their selfish pursuit of ephemeral things of life! The ultimate pursuit of every child of God should be God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness. God is the one who enthrones and deposes those who are in authority according to His purposive Will! [Matthew. 6:25-34; compare John.2:12-17].What you need is GOD’S RECOGNITION FOR ETERNITY IN PARADISE. Amen. Fellow brethren, it is time to clear the AUGEAN STABLES, meaning that it is time to flush out those who reneged on their electioneering promises and have damaged the system with so much impunity believing that political power in Nigeria is their birthright. We implore you by the mercies of God not to sell your votes to those who are determined to enslave you and your generations yet unborn for 100 years! On Thursday 3 October, 2014, the ONDO STATE Governor and his entire cabinet of the LABOUR PARTY, including State and National Legislators also defected to the ruling party to support continuity! Would this fresh effrontery against our collective psyche and Constitution pass unchallenged? Also on the same day, the former Chairman of the ruling party, who predicted the most-covetous 100-year-tenure ambition, was also discharged and acquitted, of a 17-count alleged contract fraud committed in 2001, involving N176million Nigerian Naira, when he was Minister of Special Duties, but his partner was not so lucky, he bagged five years imprisonment, without option of fine! It is very advisable that all legitimate sons and daughters of GOD and bona-fide citizens should not be dismayed about these prevailing carnal events; there are still CREDIBLE MEN AND WOMEN among Nigeria’s over 170million population; let us fish them out, sponsor and vote them into office come 2015. THE MONEY-MONGERS SHOULD BE COMMITTED TO GOD’S IMMINENT WRATH AND JUDGEMENT WHICH WILL HAPPEN SOONER THAN LATER IN JESUS CHRIST’S NAME; BECAUSE THE ANGEL OF THE LORD ENCAMPS AROUND THOSE WHO FEAR HIM AND DELIVERS THEM! The Big Brother of Africa had never had it so bad in image laundering, when in one fell swoop, within a very short interval of FIVE DAYS, a massive Pastoral six-storey edifice in Lagos State, came crashing down in the ‘twinkling of an eye’; while in far away in South Africa, a Canonical aircraft, was intercepted with $9.3 million US Dollars of laundered money, now being claimed to have been legally “appropriated” by the Nigerian Government, for the purchase of arms, to fight Boko Haram terrorists! Both events which occurred on 12 and 16th September 2014 respectively, involved death of 84 South African citizens and also infringed on the country’s security network. Now, an unprecedented diplomatic row is brewing between the two governments of Nigeria and South Africa in respect of the collapsed building which is demanding forensic investigation into all circumstances surrounding the tragedy. In addition, some South African families are brazing up to sue the Nigerian Pastor and his Ministry over the loss of their relatives in the most unfortunate disaster! The South African Government is also demanding from Nigerian authorities, why a private jet was deployed for commercial arms transportation through a clandestine and undiplomatic channel involving two Nigerians and an Israeli citizen, still being detained, with the aircraft! For a country that is aspiring to be counted worthy among the first twenty most economically global viable nations in the year 2020, Nigeria deserves positive international relationship and imagery especially through anointed men and women of God, but what obtains now is absolute negativity from these products of a very corrupt government and society! The Sierra-Leone President, in a highly publicised personification of Nigeria’s economic achievements, has said on television, and we quote, “When Nigeria sneezes, all other African nations catch COLD!” Coming from a statesman of his stature, one cannot dismiss the accolade, but we believe that our kind-hearted West African neighbour missed the mark! Considering the President’s exposure to the Transparency International global corruption index rating of Nigeria, we expected him to avoid SYCHOPHANCY, and ‘say it as it is’, “IF NIGERIA SNEEZES, ALL OTHER AFRICAN NATIONS CATCH CORRUPTION! Though Nigeria had constantly ranked between the first and fifth most-corrupt nations of the world since the Military incursion into governance, previous administrations barefacedly denied the allegations and sadly enough, those presently in the saddle have not helped matters because they openly relish and celebrate this obnoxious and very repulsive corruption appellation, as a national way of life! Those who should be in prison are those running the affairs of political parties and the civil government without challenge or hindrance! In 2012, Nigeria ranked 139 out of 176 countries, an improvement in comparison to previous corruption perceptions of this very credible Transparency International Non-Governmental Organisation. Other countries which tied with Nigeria that boasts of thousands of CHURCHES for that ignominious position, were, Azebaijan, Kenya, Nepal and Pakistan! We once featured on a past edition of this Newsletter, the TEN GLOBAL RICHEST PASTORS who are competing favourably with global billionaire business moguls and captains of industries and interestingly, the owner of the edifice that claimed about 115 lives, mostly South Africans, in Lagos, Nigeria recently, was adjudged to rank among them! The collapsed six-storey structure had an approved building plan for FOUR, according to the Lagos State Government, but along the line, two more storeys had to be added, in view of accommodation demands by the international multitude that throng the CHURCH FOR MIRACLES and the huge amount of foreign currencies that would accrue to the Man of God! Although an investigative committee has been set up by the Federal Government, several speculations as to what went wrong are awash in the Social Media, but we believe that sooner than later, the whole TRUTH would be revealed by the HOLY SPIRIT. THE DETAINED PRIVATE JET belonging to another Nigerian prominent pastor was reported to have been leased to Third Party who was the custodian of the millions of the laundered GREEN NOTES found on board. We are waiting for this mysterious THIRD PARTY AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA, who now claims ownership of the large cache of foreign currencies, to proffer necessary details of the illegal arms transaction deal to the Nigerian electorate and South African authorities without cover-ups of this avoidable scandal! The Word of God states that, Divine Judgement would begin from the Household of God, which is now so infested with APOSTACY!] Ezekiel.8:1-18; 9:1-1-11; Peter.4:17]. The universe and all its atrocities of moral and political corruption have crept into the church because gullible and greedy servants of God have decided to flirt with the rogues and vagabonds in the world system contrary to the Lord’s injunction in the Gospel of Saint John, 17:12- 19, compare vs.1-11 and 20-26. “I have given them your Word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your Word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.”[vs. 14-19]. The world which Jesus Christ mentioned in the preceding quotation is the one that has become very hostile to God and God’s people through the activities of the ‘evil one’, Satan, who is doomed for destruction! Servants and disciples of God must not have the mind-set of the world because they have been, “been born of the Spirit” and therefore, children of God. [John.3:8]. In addition, He prayed that they should not be taken out of the world which He had assigned as their PARISH, until the work of The Great Commission was fully accomplished. When the Lord Jesus Christ sent forth the 12 and 70 disciples for the work of evangelism [Matthew.10:7-10; Luke.10:2-12], He gave them the following instructions, “…….As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of God is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. FREELY YOU HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE. Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts; take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic or sandals or a staff; for the worker deserves his wages. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field. GO! I AM SENDING YOU OUT LIKE LAMBS AMONG WOLVES. Since the advent of the new democratic order in 1999, the Household of God had become a HAVEN AND REFUGE for corrupt, greedy, selfish and wealthy politicians who believe in signs, wonders and miracles to win electoral offices or access political appointments at all costs; and for the GHEHAZIS and JUDASES within, it was easy for Satan to penetrate the CHURCH and try very hard to destroy it from foundation! Many servants of God have compromised their faith and that is why they now compete with the CORRUPT in dress fashion, state-of-the-art properties of latest automobiles, modern structural edifices and jet aircrafts! WHAT BUSINESS HAS JESUS CHRIST WITH SATAN? What business has the CHURCH OF GOD with commercial mighty structural edifices and jet aircraft leasing? The commission of the CHURCH can be summarized as follows: “….All authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”[Matthew.28:18-20; compare Mark. 16:15; Luke 24:46; John 20:21; 21:14 and Acts.1:1-8]. There is no ambiguity in the Lord’s command to His Church which should follow every instruction to the letter. The EARLY CHURCH was very united in obedience to Jesus Christ and their success was very resounding in the winning of SOULS which is the Master’s greatest concern. They were very conscious and avoided being “ yoked”, that is being hooked and compromised with the rogues of this world who only dwell on the ephemeral things and such, distanced themselves from the global RAT RACE! [Acts of the Apostles.2:14-5:16] The Apostles did not turn themselves into emergency billionaires like most of the present End Time servants of God who usually fleeced naive members of the congregations of their hard-earned savings without them receiving ‘MIRACLES’ paid for with great toil and hardship! Imagine if the Man of God at Ejigbo, Lagos State, did not delve into the commercial venture of high rise buildings….. imagine if the other man of God did not receive the gift of the jet aircraft, which he later leased to make much money,…….imagine if they had functioned within the confines of their divine assignment, Nigeria would not have become ignoble and odious as it were today – a laughing stock - among the comity of nations! This is the Word of God for HIS obedient children who would not look at the RED POTTAGE of this world in the face like ESAU: “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the Temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the Living God. As God has said: ‘I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, come out from them and be separate, says the Lord.” [2Corinthians.6:14-18]. Men and women of God, Deacons, Pastors, Reverends, Bishops, Arch-Bishops, Evangelists, Apostles, Missionaries, General Overseers and Superintendents, this is a fresh clarion call from the Throne of Grace for purification from all filthy lucre that contaminate body, soul and spirit and begin a new union of perfect holiness out of reverence for the sovereign God whose judgement would start from among the Pastors and the Brethren! Anointed men and women of God should be spiritual assets and not deficits to their nations. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the CHURCHES. Amen. NO 58. 21-09-14.} NUPENG IS ANTI-NIGERIAN MASSES! “One strike, too many!” No year virtually run its full course in Nigeria without being punctuated by the intermittent labour disputes of OIL WORKERS, for one genuine or very petty reason! During the several military illegal administrations, Nigerians had the Niger Delta Militants agitation for a better life and ecological environment, to contend with because they behaved out of proportion by catapulting bomb explosives roundabout, to prove their point! Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers [NUPENG] have since taken over from those renegades who opted for violence instead of collective bargaining which eventually brought “peace” to the region! The only difference between NUPENG and the Militants is that the oil workers do not carry arms during trade disputes! NUPENG is very SELFISH for declaring another trade dispute and failing to consider the hardship and pains that non-oil workers who are in the majority, would suffer! Petrol and Kerosine, which are obtained at high costs by the masses, the only “dividends of democracy”, which trickle down from the Masters’ Table, are now being withheld by the unregenerate and uncircumcised at heart! In fifteen years, [1999-2014], of another opportunity of practising true federalism, our characteristic traits of patriotism should emphasize sincerity, probity, faithfulness in fiscal appropriation and responsibility; but what we have on display is the same old business of “robbing Peter to pay Paul”! Have Nigerian politicians ever learnt from past calamities that befell their counterparts who betrayed the masses of people, through embezzlement of the COMMONWEALTH? From the First to the Seventh Republic, we can authoritatively confirm that none of them escaped GOD’s PUNISHMENT! Their tight security arrangements comprising of police and military personnel, armoured carriers and vests, have failed to shield them from God’s wrath! The following are the Words of God: “I will punish them for their sin (Exodus.32:34); “I will punish the world for its evil (Isaiah.13:11); “Your wickedness will punish you” (Jeremiah.2:19); “I will punish you as your deeds deserve” (Jere.21:14); etc. OIL WORKERS under the aegis of NUPENG (registered in 1978 as one of the 46 industrial unions, currently affiliated to Nigeria Labour Congress [NLC], embarked on another, “indefinite” strike action from Tuesday15th September, 2014, to press home their incessant demands, this time, in respect of, “….irregular funding of their Pension Scheme, which has led to about N85billion deficit!” One very salient issue can be deducted in this new grouse over pension scheme, which is, that this selfish OIL WORKERS have also become very rich like their MASTERS, that it became expedient for them to SECURE THEIR FUTURE THROUGH FAT PENSION INCOMES ON RETIREMENT ESPECIALLY NOW THAT THE NEW PENSION REFORM ACT 2014, HAS BEEN SIGNED INTO LAW BY MR PRESIDENT! According to inside sources, this particular strike action is aimed at ‘crippling’ the nation’s OIL and GAS Sector, though the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation [NNPC], which claimed to have made moves to avert it! NUPENG suspended loading of petroleum products from NNPC depots nation-wide following unresolved dispute on pension issues with the national oil and gas conglomerate from the early hours of Tuesday 16 Sept.2014, to press home their demands until they were resolved! It is very glaring that Oil workers are capitalizing on the defective policies of AN INEPT AND CORRUPT FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, which by reason of Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution, Second Schedule, Part 1, Exclusive Legislative List, Item 39, has monopoly of the nation’s, “Mines and minerals, including oil fields, oil mining, geological surveys and natural gas”, to explore and exploit with exclusive prerogative and sole proprietorship! However, the following questions needed to be asked again! Since 1968, when CRUDE OIL was discovered in commercial quantity in Nigeria, have OIL MANAGERS, employed the system of KEEPING RELEVANT RECORDS on land acquisitions, explorations, excavations, and exploitations by foreign OIL COMPANIES, volume of barrels of lifted oil, quantity and quality of excavated crude, sales and compensations paid, to whom and by whom, a list of major stake-holders and shareholders, OWNERS OF OIL WELLS, et-cetera! Crude Oil and Minerals exploration and exploitation should be listed on the CONCURRENT LEGISLATIVE LIST so that all States could excavate the earth for the mineral resources divinely deposited by nature in their various domains. With such an arrangement, the continuous arrogance of OIL WORKERS would be completely eliminated and the Federal Government would not continue to deceive Nigerians through continuous payment of billions of naira for “PHANTOM PETROLEUM SUBSIDIES” TO THEIR OFFICIALS AND CRONIES IN RESPECT OF FAKE IMPORTATION OF FINISHED PETROLEUM PRODUCTS FROM OVERSEAS! Till date, no comprehensive records have been produced by the Sole Proprietor, the Federal Government, because a FORENSIC AUDIT ordered by the Minister of Finance since February 2014 is still in session! From all of the above, it should be very clear to all down-trodden Nigerians that “members of their own household”, that is, the Federal Government in collaboration with the State Governments and the Oil Workers, are their ENEMIES!” The few cabal,(military and civilians), who forced themselves into leadership positions in government are solidly in control of all oil resources and maintain monopoly in order to buy up “agitators” who are privy to secrets of the stupendous wealth and riches of the OIL SECTOR, through which they have perpetrated themselves and their surrogates in office since Nigeria’s independence! THESE OIL WORKERS ARE AMONG THE AGITATORS AND WHAT THEY ARE AFTER THIS TIME AROUND, IS ANOTHER PORTION OF THE “NATIONAL CAKE”, BECAUSE NO CALENDAR YEAR IS EVER COMPLETE WITHOUT THEIR SELFISH DEMANDS! In July last year, these egoistic oil workers declared an industrial action in respect of the following UNEDUCATED REASONS as if they just arrived from Planet Mars: (1) High level of insecurity in Nigeria. (2) Bad state of the roads. (3) Rising oil theft in the Niger Delta. (4) Non-adherence to guidelines on contract staffing and casual workers in the sector. (5) Abuse of expatriate quota. (6) Inhuman treatment of its members by the management of Chevron, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and Agip Oil Company. (7) Refusal of Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners [NARTO], to implement the signed collective bargaining agreement with petroleum tanker drivers. Out of shame, the above-mentioned complaints did not crop up this year which is the EVE OF THE 2015 GENERAL ELECTIONS! These shameless oil workers are about the 89 Group of greedy Nigerians, who have, in one accord, clandestinely strategized to have their share of the illegally- siphoned oil money LARGESSE, currently flowing into the pockets of all who support CONTINUITY! But in their precarious position as an industrial union, the only option opened to them was to disrupt the OIL FLOW, until they could cleverly grab a sizable PORTION OF THE COLLECTIVE OIL MONEY WHICH REPRESENT THE BLOOD AND SWEAT OF PATRIOTS AND THE FOUNDING FATHERS OF THIS NATION! We witnessed a very sordid scenario on the Nigerian highway during a prolonged fuel scarcity period, in which a young woman -PETROL HAWKER- in her early twenties, endangered the lives of her two sons- a one-and-a-half and three-year olds- as she deployed them to signal motorists to purchase her PRODUCT and it took divine intervention to save the kids from being knocked down! She was not the only one exposed to that predicament which happened to be the fall-out of failed government policies, promises and programmes –they were many – mostly women with kids! If you are reading this piece, MR. OR MRS. PROTESTING OIL WORKER, IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO BACK DOWN ON INCESSANT AND UNWORTHY DEMANDS! It is high time you turned a new leaf and become a nation builder and not destroyer because you are an integral part of the people. Those who should be denied the benefits accruing from the oil products and wealth are those who have turned the nation’s CRUDE OIL into family enterprise! We should collectively fish them out and send them to PRISON, where they should rot and not support their inglorious behaviour while our brethren suffer untold trials, hardship and persecutions! We should all have access and equal economic share of OIL DIVIDENDS! The Word of God states as follows: “God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from Heaven in blazing fire with His powerful Angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of His power on the day He comes to be glorified in His holy people and to be marvelled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.”[2Thessalonians.1:6-10]. Almost everybody, (including members of the ruling party), except the GOD-FEARING, has endorsed the UNSOLICITED CONTINUITY OF THE INCUMBENT WHO IS CONSTANTLY BEING REMINDED BY GOD-THE HOLY SPIRIT, NOT TO RENEGE ON HIS GENTLEMAN’S PROMISE OF SERVING “O N E T E R M O N L Y”! The Holy Spirit has told him that the document of promise, which forms the bases of agreement with the Nigerian electorate and witnessed by the ANGELS [Ministering Spirits of God], is in HEAVEN, before the THRONE OF GRACE and would be scrutinized and used in evidence at the most appropriate time! And that is very CORRECT! With this SPIRITUAL EVIDENCE, Transformation Agenda Facilitators [TAF], should let the “sleeping dog lie”, but pray for Nigeria to win this war against the insurgents and bring back our Chibok School girls whom God will miraculously save! On behalf of the over 170 million good people of this great nation, we thank our very courageous and diligent combatants of the Armed Forces and the Police for their resilience and beseech our Heavenly Father to guide them to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists and bring this mindless war to a victorious end for our troops. As at the time of publication, the OIL WORKERS were reported to have called off their “indefinite” labour dispute, but the filling station queues remain transfixed and may take a while to abate! May the good Lord deliver us from HOUSEHOLD ENEMIES! Amen. NYSC OFFICIALLY ADMITTED INTO THE MONEY-MINTING CLUB!

It is high time the NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS’ compulsory one-year programme, (of Orientation Courses and Primary Assignments), was conducted ONLINE to avoid students protests over the newly introduced print out fees of FOUR THOUSAND NAIRA!

This option will remove all encumbrances of embarking on annual physical and at times dangerous journeys, backlog of postings and lobbying in respect of States of primary assignments!

Corps members will contribute positively to programmes of nation building ONLINE on governments’ requests and be meaningfully engaged to earn living wages through such mutual contracts.

Unlike what obtains presently, the weekly Community Development Service [CDS], the only primary assignment, has been reduced to talk-shops and subsequently a total waste of another calendar year of the youths – most of whom had spent more than six academic years due to staff/student crisis!

ADVERT: NYSC 2014 BATCH ‘C’, has ordered online registration of local and foreign-trained Nigerian prospective corps members and printing of call-up letters, on payment of a compulsory N4000.00 fee!

“The management of NYSC wishes to inform the general public and Nigerian graduates (both foreign and locally trained in particular, that with effect from 2014 Batch ‘C’ mobilisation exercise, mobilisation processes will be online at www.nysc.org.ng or portal.nysc.gov.ng or www.nysc.gov.ng to link the portal.

*Those who wish to get their call-up numbers by SMS/e-mail and subsequently print their call-up letters online are to pay the sum of (N4000.000), using any bank’s Automated Teller Machine(ATM) Cards on the PIN Vending option from any bank in Nigeria.”

This ADVERT, which jolted indigent students, parents/guardians who might not anticipate unbudgeted expenses also stated as follows:

“However, those who wish to collect their call-up letters from their institutions, NEED NOT PAY THE N4000.000, AFTER THE ONLINE REGISTRATION (for 2014); BUT IT BECOMES COMPULSORY WITH EFFECT FROM 2015 Batch ‘A’!

Registration for 2014 Batch ‘C’ Service began on 20^th August and ends on 12^th October 2014.

It is very clear that online communications between intending corps members and NYSC management staff had been an established practice since the advent of modern technology; the only aspect that is new is the clandestine introduction of the print-out fee of Four Thousand Nigerian Naira, which is a lot of money to a lot of UPRIGHT people!

Graduates have never complained of collecting call-up letters from their various institutions and from all indications, some clever persons were only eager to make “SOME ILLEGITIMATE MONEY”, before this administration packs up and disappears; after all, the MINISTER of Internal Affairs “DID IT” ONLINE on behalf of the Immigration Department, with the support of some CONSULTANTS, raked in over N45million and got away with the amount, in spite of about 19 DEATHS in various Stadia across Nigeria where mock interviews were held!

Before now, there was a massive call for the scrapping of the NYSC Scheme for non- deliverance of dividends of democracy to the YOUTHS WHO MAKE UP over 60 per cent of Nigeria’s population of about 170million people.

We appreciate the fact that this POST-WAR SCHEME INITIATIVE was well-intentioned by the Military administration of General Yakubu Gowon, who believed in the corporate existence and unity of Nigeria, but the programme had long lost its ideology, intention and focus because of the unresolved issues of CITIZENSHIP, INDEGENESHIP “SETTLERS” and at times RELIGION, which had claimed precious lives of Nigerians, including corps members, who were virtually forced to untimely deaths under the guise of the patriotic zeal to serve their Fatherland!

Since the inception of the scheme in 1973, corps members had been posted to States other than theirs to engender cultural/traditional affinity for national unity and integration.

In the past 41 years of this programme, our young graduates dwelt with other tribes of different social and family background to learn the culture of the indigenes in their areas of postings and primary assignments during the SERVICE YEAR, but it is very sad to say that Nigerians have gained virtually nothing from the laudable initiative!

The outcome of the recently concluded NATIONAL CONFERENCE, comprising ALUMNI DELEGATES of several NYSC SCHEMES and which has polarized citizens along indigenes/settlers divide and creation of more States from existing towns and villages, is a good reference point!

Nigerian Youths are not being positioned to take over the mantle of leadership at any point in time due to unfavourable government policies on education in respect of critical infrastructures and academic staff union welfare, which keep them “studying” for almost THREE DECADES of their life!

According to government, the NYSC Scheme should create “entry level jobs” for participants, including a FORUM, dedicated as an avenue to share job information, career opportunities /resources and sourcing of loan from the National Directorate of Employment [NDE].

Nigerians are all witnesses to the ongoing very serious insecurity situation which has bedevilled the nation through youth restiveness, militancy, brigandage, armed robberies, kidnappings/abductions, insurgency and terrorism, being perpetrated mostly by the YOUTHS!

The Word of God says: “Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.”[Proverbs. 22:6]. Moral and spiritual lessons MUST go hand-in-hand to dedicate a child on the right path of life while instructions and discipline should also be involved to direct the child on the way to Godly wisdom.

In his four-point agenda, the new military Director General [DG] of the NYSC states that he would “improve service content, enhance welfare and safety, expand partnership of scheme with critical stakeholders for greater impact funding and support.

Should we be surprised if the funding must come from corps members who would remain idle and unemployed for a COMPULSORY SERVICE YEAR?

It is a common phenomenon in Nigeria for job seekers to pay non-refundable thousands of naira to purchase Forms online for uncertain ‘employment opportunities’!

As at Saturday, 13^th September, 2014, unemployment statistics of able-bodied and employable Nigerians, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of Nigeria, stood at 23.90 per cent compared to a record low of 5.30per cent in 2006! The unemployment challenge stands out as one of the most critical problems facing Nigeria as a nation even as a Presidential Job Board [PJB], was inaugurated last week with much publicity, to rescue the situation.

We will watch very closely for miracles, because thousands of graduates would soon be released from NYSC Camps into the Labour Market. The present administration is very good at running government policies on Radio, Television and Print Media, but we will not be distracted from identifying smoke screens!

There is a daily Federal Government Radio jingle of job advertisement for 50.000 graduates through SURE-P, [Subsidy Re-investment Programme], which by now must have gulp millions of naira as publicity charges and which in actual fact, has not identified job opportunities for the teeming graduates, because our governments are insincere!

Titled, “Sure-P Graduate Intention Scheme”, the jingle encourages private sector employers to identify the job seekers professional skills and mentor them while GOVERNMENT PAYS THEM MONTHLY ALLOWANCES!

Let us assume that private sector investors actually identified these graduates and commenced mentorship, would the monthly allowances replace the LIVING WAGES promised by successive governments to NIGERIAN YOUTHS during political campaign rallies to curry their votes?

THE NYSC SCHEME HAS OUTLIVED ITS USEFULLNESS AND SHOULD BE SCRAPPED WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY!

We challenge government to publish, for public consumption, the 41-YEAR SCORECARD of this establishment which has only served as a CONDUIT PIPE OF ORGANISED CORRUPTION JUST LIKE THE INFAMOUS FOUR TOWERS ENTERPRISE IN ABUJA!

*From 1973-2014, has NYSC Management team ever arranged or provided transportation by AIR, LAND or SEA for corps members to ease definite challenges they might face in travelling to places of primary assignments across the length and breadth of the country?

*Are any allowances appropriated for transportation, accommodation general welfare or medical expenses throughout the service year?

*Were there any manner of security arrangements provided, when many corps members were murdered in cold blood during past communal and political crisis across the nation?

*Is the monthly stipend of N19.500.00 out-of-pocket allowance adequate for graduates who are academically equipped to contribute meaningfully to the economic growth of this nation?

* Is this paltry sum, commensurate to adequately identify, qualify and appreciate INTELECTUAL PROPERTY AND CAPACITY?

*Are the “Consultants” engaged by the management team for sundry contracts more qualified than the corps members?

*What manner of welfare was the DG talking about in his four-point agenda?

*And whereas annual government-sponsored jamboree of religious pilgrimages “swallow” billions of naira of taxpayer funds without challenge!

Corrupt officials in government MUST be exposed if this administration is serious about its “fight against corrupt civil servants and politicians”! It tantamount to sheer injustice and man’s inhumanity to man, for those in temporary position of authority, to continue to LIVE ON THE BLOOD AND SWEAT OF THEIR FUTURE LEADERS!

That kind of bestial behaviour is only found in the ANIMAL KINGDOM OF PREDATORS!

LET EVERYONE BE READY TO GIVE ACCOUNT OF HIS/HER STEWARDSHIP BEFORE GOD, FOR THE TIME IS SHORT, SAYS THE LORD OF HOST!

CONTRACT SCAMS, STEALING AND OUTRIGHT EMBEZZLEMENT OF TAXPAYERS FUNDS ARE NOT NEW IN THE NYSC!

Going down the memory lane of the late seventies and early eighties, the NYSC was notorious for unbridled financial crimes through which many members of staff and emergency contractors became instant millionaires until a probe was instituted to stem the very ugly scenario! HAS THE STORY CHANGED? WE NEED AN ANSWER!

EBOLA VIRUS DISEASE [EVD], IS A TIMELY WARNING FOR REPENTANCE!
In the order of organic creation and seniority, animals and birds arrived first on earth before MAN!
It was on the fifth day of creation that God commanded the waters to produce abundantly, living creatures like the great whales and winged fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven; the earth to produce, cattle, creeping thing and beast, after their kind, blessed and sent them forth to become fruitful, multiply and fill the waters and the earth, and it was so! [Genesis.1:20-25].
And on the SIXTH day, (the last day of creation), MAN was created in the image and likeness of God and was also blessed, “…. to be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and all the creatures that creep on the ground” [verses,26-28].
In addition, God also gave to Man, every seed-bearing tree on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it, the beasts, the birds, all creatures that have breath of life and every green plant for, FOOD!”[verses, 29-31]. And so, the first became the last and the last, FIRST!
But with the emergence of EBOLA VIRUS DISEASE (EVD), like the viral MAD COW AND BIRD FLU DISEASES, which ravaged continents of the world in recent times, this contagious and epidemic plague, contacted by humans from some birds and animals like BATS, BABOONS MONKEYS OR THROUGH OUTRIGHT CONSUMPTION, of these bush animals as divinely endowed to man for FOOD, these organic species are beginning to gain the upper hand by infecting the humans with their FLESH!
We perceive a LACUNA between God’s blessings upon Man and the ongoing global viral EBOLA disease, which has become a CURSE upon the human race, through the same birds and animals that should be dominated, subdued and freely consumed by divine command and expressed permission!
*Did God change His mind and turned the creation BLESSING into a CURSE? *But why would the Sovereign One reverse himself and ridicule the Masters before their slaves?
Let us search the scripture for divine explanation because it seems that God is angry with His human creation!
In Genesis.2:17, God gave the first command to Adam, the Administrator of the World to keep off the fruit tree in the centre of the Garden of Eden with a warning of the consequences of DEATH upon disobedience! Adam was not scared; he and his wife ate fruits from the forbidden tree through the deceitful promptings of the animal called Serpent![Gen.3:1-27].
We have no doubt on our mind that, that clandestine move, signalled the great rivalry between Man and Animal kingdoms, because the evil seed of disobedience planted in Man’s life by an animal eventually led to the destruction of the Adamic World with flood![Gen.6:5-7:24].
In spite of this judgement, God began a fresh fellowship with Man through the nation of Israel, which He graciously rescued from the Egyptian bondage with signs wonders and miracles, to showcase His sterling qualities of holiness, righteousness and perfection to a new Human World!
Apart from the TEN deadly and intimidating plagues, which included, rivers of blood, massive frogs, lice, flies, fleas, death of all cattle, boils, thunder hails, it was the death of all Egyptian first born, including, Heir to the throne, that produced Israel’s freedom from 430 years of bondage and slavery!
While hell was let loose upon Pharaoh and his citizens, the JEWS dwelt in a place called GOSHEN, within the Egyptian territory, but were not harmed by any of the plagues!
The miraculous crossing of the RED SEA on a dry ground was a further proof of GOD’S LOVE to the Israelites who were sandwiched by the Egyptian army on the orders of Pharaoh who reneged on his promise! [Exodus.7:1-14:1-31].
Regrettably, GOD was again provoked to anger and had to destroy all the 600.000 able-bodied men of war and their wives (except Caleb, Joshua and children under 20 years of age), in the wilderness journey of 40years![Exodus. 2:24-20:24, Numbers.11:1-26:65].
*As mentioned earlier, Ebola, is another one of the several plagues that have besieged humanity since the crucifixion, death, resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ, who prophesied, among other things, that before His second advent to judge the human world of their heinous sins, there would be PESTILENCES, in divers places across the universe! [Matthew. 24:7b. King James Version, (KJV)]. These pestilences would serve as punishment to a wicked world which rejected the Son of God, nailed Him to the CROSS like a common criminal and also as a reminder to the SAINTS and FAITHFULS[to remain steadfast in the Lord], in view of His impending judgement of all ungodly people!
When Pontus Pilate, the Roman Emperor, who sat at the “kangaroo tribunal”, failed to find any fault against Jesus Christ, he, at the Jewish people’s persistence, sent the Son of God to the gallows and released Barabbas, a notorious robber, according to an annual clemency policy for criminals and the Lord’s Jewish brethren applauded the “judgement”, by saying, “LET HIS BLOOD BE UPON US AND OUR CHILDREN”, forgetting that the whole world of many nations was divinely bequeathed to the Friend of God and Father of faith - ABRAHAM![Gen.12:1-4].
*IS MAN’S PRESENT PREDICAMENT NOT A CASE OF HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF THROUGH THE LORD’S PROPHECY OF THE PREVAILING CALAMITIES BEFALLING OUR WORLD?
*What is pestilence? It is, any very serious infectious disease that spreads quickly and kills large numbers of people!
Ebola, has taken over from the HIV/ AIDS venereal disease, (discovered in the early eighties) which has destroyed thousands of lives in almost two-and-a-half decades of its trail!
But before the advent of the these two
global scourges, there was the very devastating BUBONIC PLAGUE, BLACK DEATH or BLACK PLAGUE, which ravaged Europe and its environs in the Middle Ages and consumed between 25-50 per cent of its population!
Bubonic Plague [BP], is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis, and is transmitted to humans from RATS infected by the oriental rat flea.
It is so named, for the characteristic feature of ‘buboes’, (painfully enlarged lymph nodes or glands), in the groin, armpits, neck and elsewhere. Other symptoms include, headache, fever, chills and weakness which can lead to gangrene (tissue death) of the fingers, toes and even nose-bleeding!
Ebola is equally a deadly virus that causes severe, uncontrollable bleeding within and without the human body as it spreads to damage the immune system and other organs!
Because EVD spreads to people by contact with the skin or bodily fluids of an infected animal, like monkey, chimpanzee of Fruit Bat, touching contaminated needles or surfaces, it is very important to quickly spot the symptoms to prevent viral spread!
*What are the Ebola symptoms and how are they diagnosed?
*Ebola symptoms can show up from between 2-21 days of incubation while those of Bubonic Plague which is deadlier, is between 2-3days!
The following symptoms are noticeable in any case of EBOLA VIRUS INFECTION: Sore Throat, Lack of Appetite, Stomach Pain, Head Ache, High Fever, Weakness, Joint and Muscle Aches; but it could be difficult to rely on these symptoms which are also common to other diseases like Cholera, Malaria or even Typhoid! However, it is important to know that, after 21 days, symptoms of Ebola virus could get worse and cause internal haemorrhage, that is, excessive bleeding within the body and external, through the eyes, ears, nose, bloody diarrhoea, coughing up of blood, vomiting and rashes!
Therefore, scientific tests must be quickly carried out by medical experts to diagnose Ebola virus infection through blood and tissue tests! The high-risk individuals to the Ebola virus who MUST be adequately protected with effective modern garbs are the HEALTH WORKERS and MEDICAL PERSONNEL who, professionally care for those infected through the isolation process, to which they are exposed and also the burial of Ebola-deceased patients!
Although, the Ebola hemorrhagic fever kills up to 90% of infected people, a person who, though, infected, but had not shown any symptoms, cannot spread the disease! EBOLA CANNOT BE CONTACTED THROUGH AIR WATER AND FOOD according to scientific experts, if painstaking CAUTIONS are exercised! Immediate ISOLATION from the public domain of all suspected cases to avoid and prevent the spread, personal hygiene and sanitation of hand washing with soap and water, or sanitizers, round the clock, become IMPERATIVE!
From the foregoing analysis, it is crystal clear that MAN, through his own actions and inactions, separated himself from divine love. He has sinned and has thus come short of the glory of God!
This treatise will be incomplete if we are not reminded of the CURSES PRONOUNCED FROM MOUNT EBAL during the life and times of the small tribe of Israel, whom God presented to His universe as the delectable show-piece of His Holy standards.[ please read Deuteronomy 27:13-26 and also The Song of Moses Chapter 32:1-47].
Israel, is still embroiled in war with its Arab neighbours over homeland disputes, because of the unbroken curses upon them as a people and all other nations of the world because of the Abrahamic Covenant of Genesis. 12: 1-4.
Nigeria in 54 years of independence from colonial bondage cannot claim to have known peace, even for one single year. The masses, who are in the majority, keep wallowing in poverty, while a handful of the new Masters pocket the commonwealth and dwell in affluence and luxury!
No matter how much they stole, rulers in Nigeria do not go to jail, even, when found “guilty” – they normally paid fines with the stolen money!
Definitely, God is angry with the few who are benefiting from the predicament of the Nigerian poor masses who bear the brunt of Boko Haram terrorism, armed robberies, murders, arsons, etc, and now EBOLA! His judgement is at the door of all who have been fingered to have had hand in the shedding of the blood of innocent Nigerians!
This edition is a clarion call to all God-fearing children to repent from all ungodly attitudes, embrace the Lord Jesus Christ for divine defence and protection in order to escape these pestilences which are prompted by the accuser of the brethren because of our multiple acts of disobedience to God’s holy laws!
The hand writing on the wall speaks very clearly that Satan had instigated all curses that have befallen mankind from the beginning of creation. He is very envious of the human race because he lost his position of honour/glory and has been judged by God to spend eternity in Hell Fire!
We must no longer allow Satan to place the animals above us because we are God’s highest and most intelligent creation; our position must remain at the TOP as it is written that we shall be the Head and not the Tail! GOD HAS PREPARED THE CITY OF GOSHEN FOR ALL HIS OBEDIENT CHILDREN AND THEY WILL NOT BE AFFLICTED BY EBOLA OR ANY PLAGUE IN JESUS CHRIST’S NAME! AMEN.

“SIX STATES MUST BE CARVED OUT OF ABUJA TO BALANCE THE EQUATION!”

The National Conference [three-volume report], submitted to Nigeria’s President on Thursday, 21^st August, 2014, is incomplete! Delegates failed to recommend the creation of SIX States out of the existing Federal Capital Territory [FCT] of ABUJA!

Although, FCT, is not headed by an elected Governor but a Minister appointed by the president, it enjoys the privilege of administering SIX of the country’s 774 Local Government Areas; namely, ABAJI, AMAC (Abuja Municipal Area Council), BWARI, GWAGWALADA, KUJE, and KWALI.

Chapter VIII, Section 299 (a), states that provisions of the 1999 Constitution shall apply to the FCT, Abuja, as if it were one of the States of the Federation, in that all the legislative, executive and judicial powers vested in the House of Assembly, the Governor of a State and in the courts of a state shall, respectively, vest in the National Assembly, the President of the Federation and in the courts which by virtue of those provisions are courts established for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

In other words, if 19 States could be created out of the existing 36, “likewise, SIX new ones can be created from the Federal Capital Territory”! WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER!

These Local Council Areas [LCA’s] are very viable and are rich in natural mineral deposits of MARBLE, TIN, CLAY, MICA, TANTALITE and when the MONTHLY “FEEDING BOTTLE” FEDERAL ALLOCATIONS IS ADDED, THEY WOULD ALL FUNCTION CREDITABLY AS STATES IN NO TIME!

In the just submitted report, delegates suggested the creation of ONE additional (automatic State), for South East Geo-political Zone, to make up for their ‘short-fall’, (presently, the zone has five States, while others have six each). In addition, EIGHTEEN new States are to be created to bring the total number of States to FIFTY-FOUR instead of a round figure of SIXTY STATES, for the whole country!

The Federal Capital Territory’s Architectural MASTER’s PLAN was not designed from the onset to accommodate the poor and the needy, the hewers of the wood and the drawers of the water; neither was it contemplated by our modern neo-colonial “Masters”, that the ‘dregs of the society’ would ever dream of dwelling in the exclusive habitation the “high and mighty, the rich and the opulent”!

At the last count, 13, (thirteen Ministers) have administered the FCT between 3^rd February 1976 to date, a total of 38 years and a little over six months; but there was one “very distinguished Quantity Surveyor”, between 17^th July, 2003 and 27^th July, 2007, who was determined to enforce the letters of the “MASTER’s PLAN through demolition of “illegal” houses of the poor masses to create more landed properties for his cronies.

For FOUR consecutive years, the demolition expert could not be restricted, not even by COURT ORDERS; from Abaji to Amac; Bwari to Gwagwalada; Kuje to Kwali; he destroyed lives and properties unabated because many of his victims committed suicide!

At the end of his inglorious exit from office, it was revealed that he re-possessed and also shared most of the “reclaimed lands” with wives, relatives, peer groups and even with his employer! Although, cases instituted against him are still in court, we are not optimistic of their outcome!

CLASS SEGREGATION in Nigeria was bequeathed by the British colonial masters. In those days before independence, the District Officers [DO’s], residences/offices were segregated to HILL TOPS, while citizens dwelt in the valleys and suburbs to portray class distinction between masters and servants – though the “masters” were foreigners in the land!

Today, the segregation legacy is still in force – with the Government Reserved Areas [GRA] on one side and the SLUMS AND GHETTOS on the other!

Leading the pack is FCT, home of Abuja and capital of Nigeria, which was carved out in 1976 from parts of Nasarawa, Niger and Kogi States, to occupy the central region of the nation on a land mass of 7.315 sq.km, for both political and sentimental reasons!

Abuja has been developed to the taste of the ELITES of the society and remains their exclusive preserve.

The small buses and motor-bikes of the poor have been banned from the CENTRAL BUSINESS/RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS and each time (which is very frequent), a Very Important Personality [VIP], was visiting Abuja, all satellite towns are LOCKED-DOWN; ie. the peasants were disallowed to enter into the elites city!

The twin Boko Haram bombs that exploded in February 2014, at Nyanyan, a suburb of AMAC, have further compounded the plight of peasants who ventured to visit the neo-colonialists sector of the capital city, because they now have to spend at least five hours instead of 30 minutes to pass through the myriad of military check points to reach their destination!

While we have no quarrel with the adequate security checks put in place by the Federal Government, we believe that the precious work hours that are lost daily could be economically utilized, when workers remain in their own domain and serve their State Governments!

Up to date, all peasants have performed functions of Local governments by appropriating their meagre incomes to dig wells for ‘portable’ water, generating sets for electricity power, private schools for their children’s education, motor bikes for transportation, agricultural products for food sustenance of their families and community-assisted rural road construction for transporting farm products to the cities; etc.!

More than ever, it has now become imperative that the ELITES AND PEASANTS in the FCT must part company to avoid a conflict of interests! As the existing SIX LOCAL COUNCIL AREAS transform into NEW STATES, the Master civil servants will now have to administer the over 150 Ministries, Departments and Agencies [MDG’s] all by themselves; - because all former servants, security guards, gardeners and house helps would be gone – to jostle for political positions/ appointments in the new FCT States!

The Federal Civil Service [FCS], boasts of about two million personnel, most of who dwell as peasants in the Satellite Communities. Definitely, FCS would lose over 1.5millon of its work-population to the New States, since the MDA’s would neither move offices nor forgo their COMFORT ZONES to satellite towns

At this juncture, the most appropriate step to take as the CONVENER AND SPONSOR OF THE JUST CONCLUDED NATIONAL CONFERENCE , is for Mr. President to set up another MINI FEDERAL CONFERENCE, to inject his own contributions in respect of the controversial RESOURCE CONTROL AND DEVOLUTION OF POWER ISSUSES, which polarized former ‘distinguished Conference delegates’, also the urgent need of additional SIX STATES for the FTC and forward copies of the over 1000-page documents, to the National Assembly [NASS] which has the FINAL AUTHORITY on Constitutional Amendments and not, National Council of States [NCS] or a REFERENDUM!

While we await an Executive move before the close of this administration on 29^th May, 2015, we advise that all eligible voters should register and collect Permanent Voters Cards [PVC’s], to avoid disenfranchisement in all impending elections!

We have on good authority that the Voters Registration of 20-25 August, 2014, in 11 States and FCT, actually took place at over-crowded Ward Levels instead of designated Polling Centres. As at the time of this publication, it was hue and cry among the people as eligible voters could not access registration and attributed the whole exercise to a deliberate, calculated and well-designed plan to disenfranchise them! We do hope that the non-partisan Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC], would re-adjust the system to accommodate everyone at the polling centres.

We rejoice that the official conclusion and closing ceremony of the ‘famous’ 2014 National Conference on 21^st August, has now afforded the requisite passport for the long-awaited declaration of intent and endorsement for a second term in respect of , “a job well-executed”!

Unfortunately, the processes leading to States creation is very cumbersome and cannot be influenced by Mr. President, in view of the under listed 1999 Constitution stipulations under Chapter I, Part II, 8-(1), (a-d):

*An Act of the National Assembly for the purpose of creating a new State shall only be passed if:

(a) a request, supported by at least two-thirds majority of members (representing the area demanding the creation of the new State) in each of the following –

(i) the Senate and the House of Representatives,

(ii) the House of Assembly in respect of the area, and

(iii) the local government councils in respect of the area, is received by the National Assembly;

(b) a proposal for the creation of the State is thereafter approved in a referendum by at least two-thirds majority of the people of the area where the demand for creation of the State originated;

(c) the result of the referendum is then approved by a simple majority of all the States of the Federation supported by a simple majority of members of the Houses of Assembly; and

(d) the proposal is approved by a resolution passed by two-thirds majority of members of each House of the National Assembly.

The Word of God states: “Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labour in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat – for He grants sleep to those He loves”[Psalm.127:1-2].

The National Conference had come and gone like the others before it! Self aggrandizement, greed, avarice have all played out as over N7Billion Nigerian Naira exchanged hands in the struggle for their share of the NATIONAL CAKE! Delegates pushed the painful issues of Boko Haram insurgency and the over 250 Chibok girls in the terrorists detention for over 130 days, into the background! Where is the light at the end of the tunnel? Those at the helm of affairs want to rule forever, by hook or crook because they do not believe in the partnership of GOD OF CREATION – the only ONE who can guarantee human success!

Thirty-four of the present 36 States of Nigeria cannot claim to be BETTER THAN ABUJA SATELLITE TOWNS IN RESPECT OF CRITICAL INFRASTRUTURES AND NATURAL RESOURCES, WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF THE MONTHLY FEDERAL ALLOCATIONS!

Since States creation is the rave of the moment, we suggest that all 774 Local Governments, (including IKENNE, the home town of Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo) should all metamorphose into States, to satisfy political greed and ambitions! Nigeria has always come first among the comity of nations in negative conceptualization!
