Purposeful world leaders regularly sought for external financial loans to back up Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for strategic capital project infrastructures and human capacity development and it has been proven that such wise investments had yielded multiple dividends within very short periods to offset shortfalls!

But in Nigeria loans are acquired to fulfill CONCURRENT EXPENDITURE ie, salaries /allowances of government officials in the THREE TIERS and for "ARRANGEE" DUBIOUS CONTRACTS!

And in spite of the unworkable attempts by the President's ANALOGUE ECONOMIC TEAM to alleviate massive sufferings of Nigerians in 18 months the ANCHOR MAN INTENSIFIED OVERSEAS TRIPS TO BORROW MORE MONEY!

IN CELEBRATION OF HIS 30TH FOREIGN TRIP IN OFFICE, the President took his wife along with privileged politicians and civil servants to Brazil to attend the G 20 SUMMIT of which Nigeria was not a member and as usual canvassed for FOREIGN AIDS FOR NIGERIA AND AFRICA!

It took the Nigerian Senate only 48 hours to approve the ₦1.77 trillion ($2.2b) loan request of President Bola Tinubu after a voice vote in favor of the request on Tuesday 19th November 2024 plenary

presided over by Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin because of anxiety for illicit gains through BUDGET PADDING!

AND WHEREAS PRESIDENT TINUBU WAS YET TO PRESENT THE 2025 ANNUAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION!

The N1.77 trillion was part of a fresh external borrowing plan to partially finance the N9.7 trillion BUDGET DEFICIT FOR THE 2024 FISCAL YEAR following recommendations from the Committee on Local and Foreign Debts!

President Tinubu had written to the National Assembly, seeking approval of a fresh N1.767 trillion, the equivalent of $2.209 billion as a new external borrowing plan in the 2024 Appropriation Act in order to ease the amount spent on debt servicing by the Federal Government.

In comparative analysis, foreign debt servicing costs had always "exceeded" monthly expenditures by almost 400% since January 2023 and slightly declining intermittently from then to September 2024.

Economic observers have raised concerns that the recent astronomical increase in Nigeria's foreign debts could lead to further depression of the economy since government's prodigality and debt serving ratios gulp largest portion of annual budgets!

NIGERIA'S TOTAL DEBT PROFILE!

As of March 31, 2024, Nigeria's total public debt was ₦121.67 trillion ($91.46 billion), which includes both domestic and external debt:

Domestic debt: ₦65.65 trillion ($49.35 billion)

External debt: ₦56.02 trillion ($42.12 billion)

Here are some other details about Nigeria's debt profile:

Growth

Nigeria's public debt grew by 24.99% from Q4 2023 to Q1 2024.

States with the highest domestic debt

Lagos state had the highest domestic debt at ₦929.41 billion, followed by Delta at ₦334.90 billion.

States with the lowest domestic debt.

Jigawa state had the lowest domestic debt at ₦2.07 billion, followed by Ondo at ₦16.40 billion.

Creditors

Nigeria owes money to countries like China, France, Germany, and Japan, as well as multilateral institutions like the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), and the African Development bank (AfDB).

The government and the Debt Management Office (DMO) are working to address the country's rising debt.

WHAT IS LOAN SERVICING?

Loan servicing refers to the administrative aspects of a loan from the time the proceeds are dispersed to the borrower until the loan is paid off. Loan servicing includes sending monthly payment statements, collecting monthly payments, maintaining records of payments and balances, collecting and paying taxes and insurance (and managing escrow funds), remitting funds to the note holder, and following up on any delinquent borrower.

Up to date Mr President had not given account of the gains from his policies somersault of which the economic pains/agonies were still reverberating across the nation but went ahead and forwarded the very offensive and insensitive 2024 Appropriation bill of N27.3 trillion naira to the National Assembly on Wednesday 29th November 2023!

IT IS THE SAME 2024 BUDGET THAT IS IN CONTENTION NOW!

IN 18 MONTHS OF MR.TINUBU'S ADMINISTRATION - A TOTAL OF N18TRILLION NAIRA SHOULD HAVE BEEN SAVED AS SUBSIDY REMOVAL GAIN!

WHERE IS THE MONEY?

President Tinubu MUST realize that he is accountable to the CITIZENS of this nation in respect of all monetary transactions of government and without further delay TRANSFER THE SUBSIDY SAVINGS OF N18 TRILLION NAIRA TO THE FEDERATION ACCOUNT TO ESTABLISH TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY!

Part of the Subsidy Gains should have been suggested by him for appropriation to service the foreign loan. Mr. President and his lackies in the National Assembly are SUSPECT!

Whatever may seem hidden for now will definitely be exposed by Divine Authority!

At least, not all news about the incumbent President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is negative!

We are told that he still cared about the over 140 million multi-dimensionally poverty-stricken population many of whom his misguided authoritarian policy decisions of 29th May 2023, have sent to early graves!

According to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu who boasted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was his bosom friend, the Commander-in-Chief frequently kept night vigils on Abuja Streets to evaluate the economic and security conditions of the afflicted suffering masses!

This "Secret" was leaked by none other than Mr. President’s bosom friend

during an October Talk Show on Channels Television, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who also opined that economic hardship was not peculiar to Nigeria as the impact of COVID-19 was still affecting economies globally. The lawmaker is representing Abia North in the National Assembly. He also said that the President would fix the economy which he admitted was BATTERED in order to ameliorate the hardship and pains of Nigerians.

"He is a street person; he knows the street very well. The president some nights uses his car to go around and know what is happening in Abuja here,” he added with much gusto!

In the process of the interview, the Senator also disclosed that he earned a monthly stipend of N14 million which was insufficient to cater for overhead and workers salaries because he also had to purchased fuel to travel to his constituency!

COMMENTS:

*The Senator neither disclosed the number of days devoted by Mr.Tinubu to the "NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH" nor the economic dividends that have ACCRUED from the NOCTURNAL ESCAPADES!

*PMS (Petrol) which sudden astronomical increase was precipitated through his unwise policy is still dangling between N1,200-1,300 naira per litre;

*THE MOST CORRUPT Federal Government owned Agency, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), IS SABOTAGING CITIZEN ALIKO DANGOTE'S USD$20 BILLION SIXTH WORLD LARGEST PETROLEUM REFINERY through continuous and deliberate importation of petroleum products into the country in spite of the fact that Dangote's products are among the finest and best!

* THE NATIONAL CURRENCY - Naira as at 16th November 2024, exchanged for N1, 700 against 1 USD$ dollar;

*ELECTRICITY TARIFFS FOR ALL DELIBERATELY UNMETERED CITIZENS as at 17th November 2024, was N70,000 NAIRA, the equivalent of the much-publicized NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE !

*Legislators live large with at least N14 million monthly salaries as RUNNING COSTS which exclude various allowances which run into not less than N25millionl!

Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, Nigeria’s Former Minister of Foreign Affairs has expressed disappointment over the outcome of the presidential election in the United States in which Republican Donald Trump defeated Democrat's Woman Candidate Vice president Kamala Harris! Reacting, Akinyemi described Trump’s victory as crudity and over-refinement. While featuring on an Arise TV program, the former Minister opined that Trump as an ex-convict, lacks the capacity to lead the American people.

According to him, Trump has been convicted of 34 different crimes in the country.

“What just happened in America is a victory of crudity, over-refinement, and all that the United States should not stand for.

“This is a victory for what the world is not expecting from a country that prides itself as the bright light on a shining hill.

“It’s hard to understand why people will vote for a person that has been convicted of 34 crimes”

US ELECTION 2024: CAN DONALD TRUMP VOTE AS A CONVICTED CRIMINAL?

US Election 2024: If elected, Donald Trump would be the first convicted president, having been found guilty of falsifying records. Florida laws on voting won't apply to him due to a New York statute allowing felons to vote if not incarcerated. Republican nominee, Donald Trump will be the first convicted individual to become US President and sit in the Oval Office, if he wins the tight race to White House against Democrat Kamala Harris. The US laws do not prohibit convicted individuals from contesting for Presidential post. But can the former US President cast his vote as a convicted individual. As per the law in Trump's home state of Florida, felons are not allowed to vote until they serve the sentence, or in some cases, had their voting rights restored through the State Clemency Board, according to a New York Times report.

But these rules will not apply on Trump. Florida law stipulates that those convicted out of state are beholden to the voting laws of the state in which they were convicted.

Trump convicted in Manhattan, New York, in May this year. He benefits from a 2021 New York State law that allows felons to vote as long as they are not incarcerated, a CNN report says.

CONVICTED IN NEW YORK

The former President was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records relating to a hush-money payment to the adult film starStormy Daniels, making him the first former president to be convicted of felony.

The sentencing in the case is scheduled on November 26. Trump had initially said he planned to vote early but then decided to vote in person on Election Day - today.

During his previous term (2016-2020), Trump became the first president to be impeached twice. First for withholding military aid to pressure Ukraine to investigate his political opponents and then for instigating a ‘coup’ on January 6, 2021 after his defeat to Democrat Joe Biden.

The Nigerian Foreign Policy of non-alignment under Mr. President Bola Tinubu is mere administrative expression to sooth his whims and caprices depending on advantage!

On the one hand the Nigerian Government has charged 76 #End Bad Governance Protesters - including 32 Juveniles to Court for an "act of treason" for waving Russian Flags and on the other, it has entered into PARTNERSHIP with the detested country at the October '24, 16th BRICS SUMMIT chaired by President Vladimir Putin in Kazan near Moscow!

BRICS (acronym for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), had existed since 2001 as an alternate and competitive economic bloc to checkmate the United States/European Union (EU) aggressive neo- colonialistic trade incursions in the very lucrative 21st Century African Continent!

THE OFFENSIVE RUSSIAN FLAGS ORCHESTRATED BY ENEMIES OF STATE!

Public protests in Nigeria usually attracted indolent out-of-school STREET CHILDREN who infiltrate such unruly crowds for illicit gains and the August #End Bad Governance protest was not an exception!

Enemies of State who orchestrated and hijacked the protesters in Kano wasted no time to distribute the offensive Russian Flags (white, blue and red) into their IDLE HANDS TO WAVE as they followed the crowd which eventually became unruly following armed Police intervention! The clandestine message of the Russian flags was very clear to security agents who realized that the Russian government was being subtly invited to intervene in the affairs of the sovereign nation of Nigeria!

In addition to the act of "a glaring act of betrayal" THE ILLITERATE MOB veered into looting of properties of innocent Nigerians and in the process 13 of them were believed to have been shot dead according to Amnesty International!

RUSSIAN INFLUENCE IN ECOWAS!

Russian influence is prominent in some Francophone Sahel States in the West African Sub Region - ECOWAS - of which President Bola Tinubu is or was Chairman?

It is strongly believed that the military coups of Mali (2020), Burkina Faso (2022) and Niger (2023) were influenced by Russia because all of them have disengaged from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Although the three nations were part of the founding members, they claimed their “sovereign decision” to withdraw stemmed from the fact that the bloc compromised under foreign influence, betrayed its founding principles, posed a threat to member states and failed to help them tackle the jihadist violence in their countries!

THE MASSACRE OF BRAINWASHED & UNEDUCATED STREET CHILDREN!

After the unfortunate massacre, arrests and incarceration of some protesters across Nigeria on 1st August 2024, three whole months elapsed before detainees were arraigned in any court of law - and whereas 32 OUT-OF-SCHOOL JUVENILES were among the prisoners!

Global condemnation of Tinubu's violation of fundamental rights of the minors who had in THREE MONTHS of incarceration in the Adult Correctional Center become terribly emaciated for lack of adequate victuals/medical attention!

Nigerians have expressed outrage over the arraignment of 76 suspects, including 32 minors, before Justice Obiora Egwuatu at the Abuja division of the Federal High Court for participating in the #EndBadGovernance protests in August.

The defendants, who have been in detention for three months, were arrested in the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja), as well as Kaduna, Gombe, Jos, Katsina, and Kano states. They were arraigned by the Inspector General of Police on 10 counts bordering on treason, intent to destabilise Nigeria and inciting to mutiny by calling on the military to take over the government from President Bola Tinubu, among others.

REUTERS: NOV.1 - Nigeria charged 76 people, including 30 minors, with treason and inciting a military coup after they took part in deadly August protests against economic hardship, court documents showed on Friday. Protesters in August demonstrated in Abuja, the commercial capital Lagos and several other cities to show discontent with economic reforms that have led to rampant inflation and inflicted increasing hardship on ordinary Nigerians.

Amnesty International said at least 13 people died during clashes with security forces on the first day of protests. A rights group said the minors have been held since August by the Nigerian police after participating in protests against worsening insecurity and deprivation in the country.

SAHARA REPORTERS - NOVEMBER 1, 2024.

President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, to review the treasonable felony charges brought against some underage and malnourished children before the Federal High Court in Abuja, which has attracted national and global outrage. SaharaReporters learnt from sources that Tinubu on Friday ordered the AGF to review the cases and make recommendations accordingly after the Nigerian presidency came under scrutiny for maltreating underage children accused of bogus charges for participating in the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests in August.

The court presided over by Justice Obiora Egwuatu, granted stringent bail to over 70 persons including minors for their alleged roles in the protests.

Five minors out of the 76 defendants meant to be arraigned on Friday, however, slumped inside the courtroom and were rushed to the hospital.

The minors have been taken back to Kuje Prison following difficulties in meeting their bail conditions.

The court granted each of the defendants N10 MILLION BAIL among other stringent terms.

HUMAN RIGHTS AND ADVOCACY GROUPS across the country have accused President Bola Tinubu of running a cruel, heinous and punitive government. The groups said this in separate statements issued on Friday while condemning the continued detention and prosecution of #EndBadGovernance protesters. The groups said the arraignment of the protesters before Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja exposes the gross and tone-deaf indifference of all Arms of the Nigerian government to justice and the well-being of Nigerians.

ECONOMIC BLOOD GAINS FROM RUSSIA!

"Nigeria has officially joined BRICS as a partner country, alongside 12 other nations, further strengthening its economic ties with the intergovernmental bloc.

This announcement was made at the ongoing BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, held from October 22 to 24, 2024.

Nigeria’s inclusion comes on the heels of a significant surge in foreign capital inflows from BRICS nations, which rose by 189% in the first half of 2024, reaching $1.27 billion, compared to $438.72 million during the same period in 2023.

TRUTHS NIGERIANS MUST KNOW!

* Although a Nigerian Delegation headed by Vice President Kashim Shettima attended the 15th Summit of BRICS in South Africa in 2023, it made no attempt to join the organization.

* Illiterate and totally uneducated street protesters were both massacred and incarcerated for waving RUSSIAN FLAGS on 1st August 2024 and Nigeria went ahead to PARTNER RUSSIA IN BRICS THREE MONTHS LATER, 1st November 2024, as reported by NAIRA METRICS in previous paragraphs!

* There would have been no cause for #EndBadGovernance Protests in Nigeria if Bola Tinubu's was prepared and had well-informed economic purposes for execution!

*NIGERIA'S DESTINY IS NOW SQUARELY IN THE HANDS OF THE CITIZENS WHO MUST SUPPORT THE DEMAND FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A UNICAMERAL (ONE HOUSE), PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY!

Security agents involved in the extra-judicial killings of those innocent citizens (who only exercised their fundamental rights) should be cast into detention pending trial! Tinubu should immediately release all the 72 falsely-accused persons, with APOLOGIES AND PAYMENT OF EQUITABLE & REASONABLE COMPENSATIONS!

The President should not be dumb - he could still redeem whatever remains of his dented image! Time is of essence!
