FEDERATION OF CAPITALISTS AND TALAKAWAS (FCT) SEATED ON GUN-POWDER KEG!

[2025 CHRISTMAS EDITION].

The United States Declaration of Independence Document unequivocally states that: “All men are created equal….” and have inherent rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and are born with equal opportunities, an affirmation of absolute and  unfettered liberty of its citizens.

The Declaration of Independence (1776, written by Thomas Jefferson and influenced by enlightenment ideas, declared Colonists’ right to self-governance and asserted equal rights for all people against British Rule. 

It posits that no one is inherently born to rule over others and all individuals possess certain unalienable rights. 

POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE BUT ARE NIGERIAN MEN BORN EQUAL?

According to the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria :

Section 14.(1) “The Federal Republic of Nigeria shall be a State based on the principles of democracy and social justice.

(2) It is hereby, accordingly, declared that:

(a) Sovereignty belongs to the people of Nigeria from whom government through this Constitution derives all its powers and authority;

(b) The security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government: and 

(3) The participation by the people in their government shall be ensured in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution.

But long before the 1999 Constitution, Nigeria was under 30 years of martial administration which completely became neo-colonialist following the discovery of Crude Oil in the Niger Delta Region and there emerged a motley crowd of Oil billionaires who formed a very powerful cabal and possessed the soul of the nation. 

 In the process of time the Capital City of Lagos could not contain the rivalry of stupendous wealth of the political players and a Virgin Land had to be acquired.

The choice of a Central location in the very heart of the country was the ideal and must be urgently carved out for the big players to spread their wings.

They militarized their desire through FIAT and drove out virtually all indigenes out of their ancestral homes, occupied large chunks of the massive land (unrestricted) and subsequently laid claims as OWNERS OF NIGERIA (OON)!

These big shots have their wealth stacked in foreign currencies with which they always held the economy by the jugular – and they are untouchable?

Presently, not less than three quarters of the geographic land mass of the FEDERATION OF CAPITALISTS AND TALAKAWAS (FCT), are securely in the firm grip of these very powerful bloc!

This FCT is reminiscent of THE ANIMAL FARM, a Constituency where some Animals are more equal than the others!

Of its 3.8 million conservative mixed-multitude population  estimate, less than 2,000 are members of the prestigious elite club of the OON who occupy all the top positions in government: Presidency, Legislature, Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAS), and own all choice houses and landed properties in the FCT!

IT IS IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN THAT ONE SERVING SENATOR AMONG 469 LEGISLATORS OWNS 51 CHOICE HOUSES AND UNSPECIFIED LANDED PROPERTIES IN ABUJA CITY APART FROM THOSE IN HIS SENATORIAL DISTRICT!

QUESTION: How many do the other 468 possess? What about past and present FCT Ministers and Senators? No wonder, the Federal Government of Nigeria always appropriated larger chunk of annual budgets on payment of salaries, allowances and other crazy emoluments on the elite members of the Animal Farm to the DETRIMENT of the TALAKAWAS – the Hewers of Woods and Drawers of Water!

THE MILITARY EVENTUALLY TRANSITED FROM UNITARY TO PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT TO PERPETRATE ILLICIT WEALTH AND KEEP THE TALAKAWAS IN PERPETUAL SLAVERY!

The  Federation of Capitalists and Talakawas (FCT), Nigeria was established in 1976 by late General Murtala Mohammed under the guise of centralizing the government to replace a congested Lagos State!

Although the intention was historically fulfilled in 1991 when Abuja became the new seat of government, the real purpose of CAPITALIST EXPANSION WAS VEILED IN SECRECY!

Nigeria’s Federation of Capitalists and Talakawas (FCT) has had about 13 Ministers since its inception with Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun (1976) and continuing through military and democratic eras with figures like Gado Nasko, Jeremiah Useni, Nasir El-Rufai, Bala Mohammed, Mohammed Musa Bello, and currently Nyesom Wike, covering military rule, the Third Republic, and the Fourth Republic. 

THERE WERE ALSO FCT SENATORS FROM MILITARY TO DATE.

While the Federation of Capitalists and Talakawas (FCT), had a military Minister Major General Mamman Vatsa, the Senators lists consisted of civilian senators since 2003 to include Isa Maina, Adamu Sidi Ali, Philips Aduda, and currently Mrs. Ireti Kingibe.

CAUSES OF THE LOOMING WAR!

1. It’s been 19 agonizing months of the change of baton from “frying pan into fire” – Buhari to Tinubu!

2. Like his predecessor, President Tinubu was only after the prestigious title and not the rigors of office.

3. Sudden removal of fuel subsidy, merger of forex regime without any form of palliatives in place was designed for the TALAKAWAS to commit economic suicide!

4. Daily per capita workers income is now less than USD $250 dollars at an exchange rate of almost NGN2, 000 naira to one dollar!

5. Tinubu claims to save at least ONE TRILLION NAIRA MONTHLY from removal of fuel subsidy at inauguration on 29th May 2023 and the country is over burdened with both Internal and External Loans as follows: As of Q2 2025 (June 30th), Nigeria’s total public debt hit approximately ₦152.39 trillion (around $99.65 billion USD), an increase from Q1’s ₦149.38 trillion, with domestic debt slightly exceeding external debt, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The debt comprises about ₦71.84 trillion external and ₦80.55 trillion domestic, with Lagos State leading sub-national debt, highlighting ongoing borrowing for fiscal stability. 

6. This head of the capitalist cabal had been on Spending Spree from inception through the purchase of a new Aircraft at the cost of USD$100 billion dollars or NGN160 billion naira and had virtually toured the entire Universe in 19 months!

7. TINUBU’S 2026 APPROPRIATION BILL, now joins the stable of the 2023-2025 yet to be fully-implemented deficit annual budgets! In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, 19th December, 2025, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, stated that the expected total revenue for the 2026 fiscal year is ₦34.33tn, while total expenditure is projected at ₦58.18tn, including ₦15.52tn earmarked for debt servicing. HE ADDED THAT RECURRENT (non-debt) EXPENDITURE IS ESTIMATED AT ₦15.25tn, WHILE CAPITAL EXPENDITURE WILL AMOUNT TO ₦26.08tn. Onanuga disclosed that the budget deficit is expected to be ₦23.85tn, representing 4.28 per cent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product. FOR THE CAPITALIST CABAL FROM INCEPTION, IT HAD ALWAYS BEEN DEFICIT BUDGET AND INFINITESIMAL ALLOCATION TO CAPITAL EXPENDITURE! Imagine the paltry sum of NGN26.08tn allocated for Capital Projects in a Country that has been DOLLARIZED BY ALHAJI TINUBU! (NGN2,000 TO ONE USD$ DOLLAR)! AND YET THIS CAPITALIST HAVING PERFORMED SO WOEFULLY IN 19 MONTHS NOW STRATEGIZES TO CONTEST AND WIN THE 2027 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!

8. In his CHRISTMAS MESSAGE to the nation, President Tinubu, who rode on the  back of CHRISTIAN VOTES to power in 2023 in spite of his audacious choice of MUSLIM-MUSLIM TICKET pleaded for Religious Tolerance and Abstinence from alcoholic drinks. These are misplaced insinuations; Nigerian Christians are the SANEST in the World!

WE of the Editorial Board of the Zion B-BC Newsletter in the past 13 years had warned past administrations to desist from taking the CITIZENS FOR GRANTED in order to avoid the UNPALATABLE CONSEQUENCES THAT WOULD BEFALL THEM!

The opportunity is still open for The TINUBU Administration to listen to the voice of reason before it is too late!

TINUBU SHOULD ADOPT THE VIRTUALLY INEXPENSIVE ONE - HOUSE PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT TO REPLACE THE ROGUISH CAPITALIST SYSTEM THAT ENCOURAGES CONTINUOUS ROBBERY OF BOTH THE SINGLE TREASURY AND FEDERATION ACCOUNTS!

ONE PARTY STATE? OVER-CONFIDENCE WILL DESTROY APC!

One Party State in Nigeria? The All Progressives Congress has surely shot itself in the foot by nursing such inordinate ambition!

Although Mr. Tinubu in conjunction with the US and France claimed to have jointly stopped the Benin Republic military coup because as ECOWAS “Chairman”, he dispatched Nigerian troops on intervention mission.

But in a contrasting broadcast, Benin’s interior minister, Alassane Seidou however stated that the FAB (Benin Armed Forces), thwarted the attempted coup at 11:09. The government credited loyalist troops for suppressing the coup. At least 14 people were arrested, including 12 active-duty soldiers and another who was dismissed.

The Beninese coup attempt occurred on 7th December 2025, when several soldiers of the Benin Armed Forces led by Lieutenant Colonel Pascal Tigri announced on national television the overthrow of Patrice Talon, the President of Benin, following an attack on Talon’s residence in Cotonou and the residences of other top-ranking military officials.

Prior to the Benin Coup, Tinubu had approved the ECOWAS Standby Force (ESF), which includes Nigerian soldiers to also intervene in coup de tat in Guinea Bissau, on 26th November 2025. Although unlike the foiled coup in Benin Republic, Guinea Bissau is still led by the Military junta in spite of ECOWAS intervention.

When We juxtapose this external exploits by Mr ECOWAS Chairman with the six months declaration of State of emergency in Nigeria’s Oil -rich Rivers State where HE HIMSELF LED THE COUP AGAINST THAT Independent SOVEREIGN STATE by imposing upon it and the hapless people citizens of that State a Retired Naval Officer to administer military administration over the innocent people for Six Months, should WE not envisage or conclude that the Alhaji is probably rehearsing his 2027 Ambition in advance?

To the global community and political analysts it’s so glaring that his game plan in Rivers was to pocket the Oil-rich State by force and keep milking the Goose that lays the Golden Egg unabated!

In his calculation, he believes he had succeeded while the erstwhile PDP Governor has sucked the bait and praise-singing Tinubu as his Savior.

He now believes he is a versatile political sage in the act of strategic manipulation forgetting that the Votes that made him President are still very questionable and in the public domain for arguments and discussions.

However now that 26 States now make up the APC, have the entire people become members or only their Governors and some few lackeys?

How is Tinubu sure that Citizens of all defecting Governors will vote for APC in 2027?

The Rivers State Governor, Similaye Fubara, having been cajoled into defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) rejoices that he would not be addressed as a “former Governor”!

As of 9th December 2025, there are 26 states with APC governors, 6 States with PDP governors, and 1 state each with Accord, APGA, Labour, and NNPP governors.

In spite of the fact that the Rivers State Electorate and all past Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors rallied behind Fubara during his travail, he betrayed them and moved into the enemies camp!

It is an undisputable fact that Rivers State contributes the largest share of foreign exchange earning among Oil Producing States into the annual Federation account for Budget disbursement.

Rivers State is also a crucial financial player not just as a contributor of resources, but as a significant recipient of federal funds and a major spender through its own massive state budgets, making its fiscal management and revenue-sharing a key aspect of national economic discourse.

BUT ARE THE ELECTORATE IN SYNC WITH DEFECTOR GOVERNORS?

What if Fubara had deceived Tinubu to regain his seat as a Ploy BUT at elections his people would vote Against APC, other parties or PDP?

It is common knowledge that no one has monopoly of knowledge and wisdom when it comes to political manipulations in respect of Nigerian politics.

In the hay days of PDP from 1999-2015, they boasted they would rule Nigeria for 100 or 60 year while bragging! They ended up ruling for only 16 years!

President Buhari messed up the stage and was Worse than the PDP!

Bola Tinubu left no one in doubt that it was his turn to rule Nigeria because he had very deep pocket and he bulldozed his way to the number one position with a total of 8,794,726 votes to defeat his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 6,984,520 to emerge second.

He scored 37 percent of total votes, the lowest ever in Nigeria’s Presidential Elections!

He did not score the 25% required to win the FCT votes but was still declared winner by INEC! Though unprepared for the coveted seat, he was alleged to have bribed his way through from Party Primaries to the coveted seat and in 15 months the country has witnessed the worst catastrophe of INSECURITY in the history of the nation!

Even though Citizens are slaughtered like animals across the length and breadth of the nation (over 10,000 people in 15 months according to Amnesty International), the APC cared less but concentrated on its plans to rig the elections in 2027!

This is where divine intervention will prevail. Nigerians and its citizens deserve better. Insecurity is a cankerworm which has spread from North to South.

Terrorism, kidnapping. Banditry, cow rustling and wanton destruction of lives and properties have become a horrific way of life! Nigeria terrorists are recruiting sophisticated weapons and mercenaries from abroad to gain more grounds!

Terrorists recently deployed of one DRONE to locate targets in Kogi State, successfully attacked and kidnapped several Church members who were later released according to government sources!

Yet all these calamities do not bother Alhaji whose only penchant is to continue as president in 2027! And maybe after that, he would want to be president for life!

 According to the book of Proverbs, “There is a way that seems good unto a man but the end thereof is unto destruction, death.” (Proverbs 24:22).

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE OPPOSITION IN THE INORDINATE AMBITION OF ALHAJI TINUBU?

It was reported before this publication went viral on Internet that the Plateau PDP Governor was in the process of decamping to the APC!

Although some old foxes gathered together under the umbrella of African Democratic Congress (ADC), to block Mr. Tinubu from achieving his ambition but their real intention was to collect heavy bribe monies and later protest in the courts of election rigging!

As far as the Citizens are concerned, OPPOSITION PARTIES DON’T EXIST IN NIGERIA!

THE GOOD LORD IS WISER THAN HIS CREATION!

“The foolishness of God is wiser than men” is a Bible verse (1 Corinthians 1:25) meaning God’s seemingly foolish or weak methods (like the Cross) are actually superior to human wisdom and strength, revealing a deepest purpose that shames worldly intellect and power, showing God uses the lowly to confound the proud. It emphasizes trusting God’s incomprehensible plan over human understanding and highlights His humility in choosing the weak to achieve His mighty work.

NIGERIANS CITIZENS MAY CURRENTLY SEEM TO BE AT THE RECEIVING END BUT THE ALMIGHTY GOD WHO CONTROLS TIMES AND SEASONS INCLUDING THE AFFAIRS OF MEN, WHO SETS UP KINGS AND REMOVES KINGS IS ABOUT TO TURN THE TABLE AGAINST TINUBU’S OLIGARCHY!

God’s “weakness” (His humble approach, exemplified in Christ’s suffering) is ultimately more powerful than human might and HE deliberately uses what the world considers foolish, weak, or lowly to discredit the wisdom and power of those who pride themselves on these qualities.

 The message should encourage Nigerian Patriots to rely on God’s revelation rather than solely on human reasoning, as His ways are beyond full comprehension. NIGERIANS should not expect fire and brimstone to deal with this evil leadership but patiently wait for HIM to deal with us through Grace. God does things much differently from what we would expect.

OUR CONCLUSION.

Let us rally together with the PATRIOTS and peacefully demand for a ONE HOUSE Parliamentary System of Government through REFERENDUM and in which Parliamentarians will NOT collect salaries but SITTING ALLOWANCES.

The Prime Minister will attend plenary with both his ruling party and opposition at least TWICE WEEKLY, to attend to STATE MATTERS!

This our dream that will come to pass through Divine Intervention!

EVERYTHING’S WRONG WITH TINUBU’S MANDATE ANTHEM – THE JUDICIARY DID NOT CHANT!

The candidate in an election presents to the electorate a manifesto outlining promises of social contract to be judiciously executed in victory, not a “mandate”!

The word “mandate” means, an official order, commission or an authority to carry out a policy, regarded as given by the electorate to a party or candidate that wins an election.

Currently, mendacious Nigerian politicians have both corrupted and reversed the meaning of mandate because a very daft, illiterate and gullible electorate abdicated it’s constitutional responsibility!

 Bola Tinubu’s Anthem: “On your mandate we stand….” has therefore portrayed Nigerian politicians as both uneducated and sycophantic!

Genesis of this national malaise is not far-fetched! It was rumored that before the presentation of Tinubu’s First Budget Appropriation Bill in 2024 to the joint sitting of the Legislature, all the 469 Law makers were bribed to ensure it was rubber stamped!

The spontaneous excitement to loads of bribe monies gave birth to the anomalous Tinubu’s Anthem, “On your mandate we shall stand…” which gradually replaced the official National Anthem and from all indications is favored by the incumbent president!

ON WHOSE SHOULDER DOES THE MANDATE REST?

The electorate grants the mandate, while the politician receives and holds the mandate (authority) to govern and carry out policies.

 In a democracy, the power and authority (the mandate) to govern originates from the voters (the electorate), and through the process of an election, the electorate authorizes a specific candidate or political party to act as their representative.

This authority is based on the promises and plans presented by the candidates and their parties (usually in a manifesto) during their campaigns. Voters choose the platform they want to see implemented.

The electorate holds the ultimate power to hold politicians accountable, either by voting them out in subsequent elections or, in some systems, through recall mechanisms if they reneged!

 Their role is to implement the policies and fulfill the promises that earned them the electorate’s trust and votes.

In summary, the electorate is the sovereign body that gives the instruction or authorization, and the politician is the agent tasked with carrying out that instruction.

THE NIGERIAN JUDICIARY ACCUSED OF CHANTING TINUBU’S ANTHEM DURING THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2025 ALL NIGERIAN JUDGES’ CONFERENCE OF THE SUPERIOR COURTS.

WE watched the entire proceedings of the NJC’S Conference and unequivocally and authoritatively asset that NO JUDICIAL OFFICER IN THAT HALL CHANTED Tinubu’s very offensive anthem which is alien to the 1999 Federal Republic of Nigeria Constitution!

The learned Judges and distinguished members of the Nigerian Bench comported and dignified themselves in all areas of decency and decorum!

On this occasion WE observed that Chief Justice Kudirat Kekereekun’s speech was forthright, factual, professional, unambiguous, and very forthright unlike HER PAST DOCILE, TREACHEROUS ROLE IN THE RIVERS STATE UNCONSTITUTIONAL PRESIDENTIAL DECLARATION OF SIX MONTHS STATE OF EMERGENCY IN WHICH SHE WAS COMPLICIT!

Below are some snippets from her speech this time around at Biennial Conference: 17th November 2025.

*In her Key Note Address, she urged judges to build a resilient and impartial judiciary. Her speech focused on the need to restore PUBLIC CONFIDENCE through ETHICAL DISCIPLINE and SIGNIFICANT REFORMS.

*Justice Kekere-Ekun emphasized that true judicial independence remains “fragile” without genuine financial autonomy from the executive arm of government and stressed the need to protect the judiciary’s independence to retain domestic credibility and global respect.

*She was equivocal that the judiciary must confront challenges head-on to restore public trust, which has been eroded by allegations of CORRUPTION, DELAYS, AND PERCEIVED BIAS.

* The CJN called for an unwavering commitment to upholding ethical standards and eliminating systemic inefficiencies and reiterated her zero-tolerance stance on corruption and vowed to ensure that petitions against erring judicial officers are dealt with speedily.

* Justice Kekere-Ekun advocated for leveraging technology and modern case management systems to enhance efficiency and speed up the dispensation of justice and warned that “delayed justice is denied justice” because a growing backlog of cases would cause the public to lose confidence in the system.

* She reaffirmed the judiciary’s resolve to uphold the rule of law and defend citizens’ rights, stressing that obedience to court orders is non-negotiable for any individual or institution.

The conference, themed”Building a Confident Judiciary,” provided a platform for judges to deliberate on these issues and adopt strategic resolutions to propel the judiciary forward.

EXCERPTS OF SPEECH BY ALHAJI BOLA TINUBU WHO DECLARED THE CONFERENCE OPENED.

*The theme of this year’s Conference, “Building a Confident Judiciary,” could not be more fitting. Confidence is the lifeblood of justice. A judgment may be grounded in law and delivered with clarity, but unless the public perceives it to be fair, impartial, and untainted, its moral authority is diminished. The confidence of the people is, therefore, not an abstract aspiration; it is the living measure of the Judiciary’s legitimacy and the true currency of justice.

*We must acknowledge, with candour, that public perception of the judicial process has not always been favourable. Citizens have expressed frustration at delays, concerns about integrity, and anxiety over access to justice. These perceptions, whether wholly justified or not, cannot be ignored. They call upon us to reflect, to reform, and to restore. For ultimately, justice does not exist for the Bench or the Bar; it exists for the people. Their faith in the judicial process is the foundation of our national stability.

* My administration believes that a Judiciary that is strong in capacity, efficient in process, and uncompromising in integrity is not merely desirable; it is indispensable to the survival of our democracy and the prosperity of our nation. We cannot build a just society without a fearless and functional Judiciary.

* The modernization of judicial infrastructure remains a central priority. Technology is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity. The digitisation of court processes, the adoption of integrated case management systems, and the provision of secure and reliable judicial facilities will receive sustained attention from this administration. A digital, transparent judiciary will not only improve efficiency but will also deepen accountability and public trust.

* We will continue to support the National Judicial Institute (NJI) as the leading hub for judicial education, comparative study, and professional development. Continuous learning and intellectual renewal must remain the hallmark of our Bench. The law evolves daily, and so too must those who interpret and apply it. We must ensure that our Judges are not only equipped to interpret law in contemporary times but also empowered to shape it in accordance with constitutional values.

*However, let us be clear: no amount of reform can succeed if integrity is compromised. Justice must never be for sale, and the Bench must never become a sanctuary for compromise.

 * Corruption in any arm of government weakens the nation, but corruption in the Judiciary destroys it at its core. When justice is compromised, governance loses its integrity, and democracy loses its foundation.

*I want you to remember that the Judiciary is not an end in itself; it is an instrument of justice for the people. Its moral power flows not merely from the Constitution, but from the trust and confidence that ordinary citizens repose in it. A courageous, transparent, and principled Judiciary is the greatest guarantee of freedom; a slow, compromised, or disconnected Judiciary is its greatest threat.

*The task is weighty, but it is noble, and I assure you that this administration will continue to stand beside you, listen to you, and support you in fulfilling this sacred responsibility.

For the umpteenth time WE need to remind Nigerian politicians that “Emergency Declaration” on insecurity escalation across the country is nothing short of another Paper Tiger from an UNPREPARED LEADERSHIP!

In FIFTEEN MONTHS of Bola Tinubu’s Administration over 10 million people have been killed as terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, armed herdsmen and cross-border brigandage mostly in the Chad Basin Region had intensified their atrocities due to persistent Policy somersaults!

How will a Commander In Chief entrust national security into the hand of a retired police officer/frustrated politician when vibrant, diligent and very capable military Generals (serving and retired), are sidelined just because Civilians are in the saddle? Do WE need to remind Mr. President that Nigeria runs a Diarchy?

Soldiers would never take orders from politicians who are foolishly appointed as Defense Minister or National Security Adviser!

AND because of the blatant anomaly, Citizens have faced tremendous losses of lives and properties on large and unabated scales to heartless gun-wielding criminals!

TINUBU PROMOTES NEW SERVICE CHIEFS WITH “MARCHING ORDERS”

“We cannot allow the crisis that began in 2009 to persist any longer. I charge you, as the heads of our nation’s armed forces, to carry out your duties with patriotic zeal.

“Nigerians expect results, not excuses. I also urge you to be innovative, pre-emptive, and courageous. Let’s stay ahead of those who seek to threaten our peace. Let us deploy technology where necessary,” the President said according to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

President Tinubu tasked the new military chiefs to dismantle the activities of emerging armed groups that have regrouped in some parts of the country:

“Security threats are constantly evolving and mutating. Of grave concern to our administration is the recent emergence of new armed groups in the North-Central, North-West, and parts of the South.

“We must not allow these new threats to fester. We must be decisive and proactive. Let us smash the new snakes right at the head.”

He assured the armed forces of the Federal Government’s readiness to support their efforts, reiterating that the safety and security of Nigerians remain paramount for national development.

“There were times when terrorists and armed marauders held significant portions of our land; this is no longer the case,” President Tinubu said.

Responding on behalf of the service chiefs, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, thanked the President for finding them worthy of the appointments.

General Oluyede urged Nigerians to support the military in the campaign to safeguard Nigeria’s territorial integrity and rid the country of terrorism, banditry, and other criminal activities.

He also assured the President of their determination to keep the country safe.

“Security should be our business, but without the support of Nigerians, we can hardly achieve anything. I want to encourage Nigerians of all ethnicities to support us, and ultimately, we will make Nigeria a safer place. That’s our promise to you,” he said.

Dec 2 (Reuters) – President Bola Tinubu nominated Nigeria’s former top general to replace the defence minister, who resigned amid a surge in mass kidnappings and Islamist attacks in the north that has led the president to declare a security emergency.

Christopher Musa, 58, served as Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff from 2023 until October this year. He will succeed Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, a former regional governor who stepped down as defence minister on Monday citing health reasons

Tinubu conveyed the nomination in a letter to parliament, the president’s office said.

“President Tinubu expressed confidence in General Musa’s ability to lead the Ministry of Defence and further strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture,” his spokesperson Bayo Onanuga said in a statement.

The appointment comes days after Tinubu declared a security emergency in response to worsening violence.

More than 200 schoolchildren kidnapped by gunmen from a Catholic school on November 24 remain missing. They are among at least 402 people abducted since mid-November, according to the United Nations.

TINUBU ALSO ORDERED MORE POLICE BOOTS ON THE GROUND!

Tinubu has ordered the recruitment of 50,000 police officers, more army enlistment, and the redeployment to frontline duties of police assigned to protect VIPs. Forest guards have also been deployed to help flush out armed gangs.

Nigeria is under scrutiny from U.S. President Donald Trump, who last month threatened military action over the treatment of Christians in the country.

GENERAL MUSA CONFIRMED AS NEW DEFENSE MINISTER – ORDERS SOLDIERS

From all indications, the newly appointed Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), will bring sanity to the insurgents who must now break or bend!

He has ordered troops to engage armed bandits immediately on sight without waiting for further directives.

During his Senate screening on 2nd December 2025, he said the instruction was essential for frontline protection and for restoring confidence in the country’s security efforts.

ONE MORE RIVER TO CROSS FOR TINUBU TO GET HIS SECURITY ARCHITECTURE RIGHT!

The current National Security Adviser (NSA), Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, must be SACKED with immediate effect and replaced with a Brigadier General, serving or retired for optimum success in the Chain of Military Command!

From his appointment in 2023, Nuhu Ribadu, a product of political patronage was a deficit/liability to Tinubu’s Administration!
