TIME TO NAIL NIGERIAN SENATE COFFIN WITH A REFERENDUM!

The clarion call by Office of The Citizens of Nigeria for a unicameral parliamentary system got a boost at the weekend when the Senate at plenary passed the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill with a caveat which empowers NCC and NASS to determine use of electronic transmission of election results instead of INEC which has right of supervision of election according to Section 78 of the 1999 Constitution!

 Senate chose to abrogate Clause 52 (2), of the concluded Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill, 2021, of its Committee on INEC, which states that “.... voting at an election and transmission of results under this Bill shall be in accordance with procedure determined by the Commission”, and replaced it with an ambiguous version which virtually transferred constitutional powers of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to electronically transmit results to the National Assembly. (NASS)!

The Senate on Thursday 15th July 2021, passed the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill, 2021, and brazenly usurped INEC’s, exclusive powers to transmit election results through electronic process except through NASS approval in consultation with the National Communication Commission (NCC)!

Legislators supported arguments in some quarters that about 48% of the nation’s land mass had no broadband telecommunications network coverage and decided that electronic transmission of election results would only be permissible provided that: “The national network coverage is adjudged to be adequate and secured by NCC and approved by the National Assembly.” Senate’s Thursday approval was sequel to a controversial amendment to Section 52(2) by Deputy Whip Aliyu Sabi Abdulahi (APC Niger) seconded by Senator Ali Ndume, (APC, Bornu South), that: “That the Commission MAY consider electronic transmission, provided the national network coverage is ADJUDGED to be adequate and secure by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and APPROVED by the National Assembly (NASS)” thereby deliberately usurping INEC’s powers in Sections 78 and 153 (1)(f)(2) and Part I Third Schedule F 14 - (1) (a) (b) (2) (a)-(c) and 15 (a)-(i) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999! 

Voting at plenary favoured the majority 52 APC Senators against 28 PDP opposition members but a total of 28 senators were absent! 

THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE (HOS) VERSION OF THE ELECTORAL ACT (AMENDMENT) BILL 2021.

 The House of Representatives pretended to be very cautious to go in the same direction and adjourned plenary until Friday 16th July, 2021, to take some evidences from both INEC Chairman and NCC representatives! HOWEVER FRIDAY HOS PLENARY turned out to be very rowdy because minority PDP Opposition staged a walk out as the majority All Progressives Congress (APC), Deputy Speaker skipped the offensive Section 52 (2), failed to call on neither the INEC Chairman nor the NCC Representative to give assurances on electronic transmission of election results but moved on to Section 54 for plenary consideration!

And in the absence of the PDP Opposition members, the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill 2021 and the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) were passed in spite of public outcry of over 200 million people they PRETEND to represent!

THE CONTROVERSIAL SENATE’S APPROVAL!

Prior to Senate’s approval, a clause-by-clause consideration of the report of its Committee on INEC in Section 52 (2) that the electoral body “may transmit results of elections by electronic means where and when practicable”, had been considered and concluded BUT the two contending Senators (Sabi and Ndume), argued that its Committee’s recommendation that electronic transmission of results would “disenfranchise some Nigerians in areas with poor or no network coverage”, in spite of the fact that the contentious amendment by those lawmakers was an insertion contrary to earlier provision in Section 52(2) which states that: “VOTING AT AN ELECTION AND TRANSMISSION OF RESULT UNDER THIS BILL SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROCEDURE DETERMINED BY THE COMMISSION”.

Chairman of Senate Committee on INEC, Kabiru Gaya, also played the black leg by siding with the objectors and voted against its earlier committee’s recommendation at plenary by claiming that the new position was better!

Senate President Ahmed Lawan said at the conclusion of the FRAUDULENT EXERCISE that if any differences were spotted in legislation passed by the HOS, conference committee would be constituted to harmonise the Bill when they returned from their annual recess/summer holidays and “hoped that the new legislation would improve future elections”!  

HISTORY OF THE ELECTORAL ACT (AMENDMENT) BILL 2021.

The bill which seeks to repeal and re-enact the 2010 Electoral Act which Amendments were rejected THREE TIMES by the Buhari Administration between the months of March and December 2018!

To resolve issues regarding INEC’s proposed introduction of other technologies outside of Card Readers into the electrical process, - especially in respect of electronic voting and transmission of results from polling units

This same bill is now being prepared by the Ninth Assembly to “sail through” by hook or crook and create undue latitude for the ruling party to manoeuvre electronic accreditation which INEC introduced in 2019 – through the CARD READERS – as against Section 49 of the Electoral Act 2010, which allowed MANUAL REGISTRATION, which APC still preferred in a technology-boosted 21st Century!! 

NATIONAL OUTCRY THAT APC WAS POISED TO RIG 2023 ELECTIONS BY IMPOSING DUBIOUS ELECTORAL AMENDMENT BILL THROUGH RUBBER - STAMP SENATE IS TRUE INDEED!

Professor Attahiru Jega, the erstwhile Chairman of INEC has added his voice to critics of NASS unpopular decision and postulated that electronic transmission of results  would ensure that the traditional fraudulent activity of changing results from polling units to the collation centre would be a thing of the past.

He further said that it was useless for the current lawmakers to approve electronic registration through the Card Reader and deny electronic transmission of results.

We know it is common knowledge that there is broadband connectivity in all 774 LGAs contrary to what Senators want Nigerians to believe since their primary motive was how to rig elections and remain in political power permanently!

THE EXIT OF SENATE IS CLOSER AND CLOSER!

Without an iota of doubt, it is now very urgent that our persistent advocacy that the Nigerian Senate should be SCRAPPED is gaining momentum by the day and in the “twinkling of an eye”, the Red Chamber of misfits, reeking with corruption, inefficiency, opportunists, political jobbers, money–mongers etc; POPULAR REFERENDUM from OFFICE OF THE CITIZENS, will engulf the nation like a RUSHING WIND and the WILL OF GOD WILL BE DONE IN NIGERIA NOT ONLY IN THE ISSUE OF THE SENATE BUT OTHER PRESSING NAGGING ISSUES OF DEMOCRACY! 

SIMPLE ‘YES’ OR ‘NO’ WILL SOLVE NIGERIA’S INTRANSIGENT INSECURITY PERMANENTLY!

MARGINALIZATION is a household word among the over 250 tribes/500 tongues of the 36 States – including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), comprising the 6 Geo-Political Zones!

To marginalize means, relegate to a lower or outer edge, as of specific groups of people like in Nigeria where everyone complains of being short-changed in the distribution of the nation’s abundant  natural resources.

And in 60 years of independence the country has produced a host of Frankenstein monsters in form of terrorists, murderers, kidnappers, bandits etc, that have prevented the educated from developing socio-economic infrastructures and have continually decimated the population through horrible of brigandage and unimaginable criminality!

BUT WITH THE REFERENDUM’S SIMPLE “YES” OR “NO”, TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS ALL CRIMINALS  WILL DROP THEIR WEAPONS AND NIGERIA WILL EMBRACE EVERLASTING PEACE AGAIN!

Should the Nigeria SENATE be disbanded and shut down? YES!

Should a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT with 74 or less members be established to replace the DOLLAR-GULPING PRESIDENCY REGIME? YES!

DEVOLUTION OF POWERS to the States through Resource Control/Self Governance SO THAT STATES SHOULD PAY NEGOTIATED PERCENTAGE TO FEDERAL GOVERNMENT? YES! 

STATE POLICE AND STATE PRISONS to be run by all States of the Federation in respect of ALL crimes? YES! 

INDEPENDENT CANDIDACY should be enjoyed if such candidate was not a member of any political party, six months prior to any election? YES! 

Should the 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs), enjoy constitutional autonomy and be free to legislate and create any number of councils as they so desired? YES! 

Food, Drugs and poison to be moved to the Concurrent List so that States could constitutionally legislate on those items, while narcotics/psychotropic substances should remain on the Exclusive List? Yes!  

Labor issues, trade unions, industrial relations, conditions, safety/welfare, disputes/minimum wages/ industrial arbitration, should be handled by both States/Federal Governments who should enjoy independent legislation? YES! 

Mines and minerals, oil fields and mining, geological surveys and natural gas that are ONSHORE will be vested in all States of the Federation, while all OFF-SHORE OIL shall be vested in the government of the federation? YES! 

Registration of Business Names should be on the Concurrent List for companies to choose their areas of operations; State or nationwide? YES! 

Collection of Stamp Duties should be moved to the Concurrent List, for the States to collect duties from individual and small businesses while Federal Government collects Stamp Duties from Limited Liabilities Companies? YES! 

Issue of Citizenship, Local Government or State of Origin, which had hitherto been discriminatory, "should be replaced with State of Residence", through a proposed amendment to the Federal Character Commission Act to allow people domicile in a place to be considered as INDIGENES of such place? YES!

All Nigerian politicians from Independence in 1960 to 2021, who had looted the Nation’s TREASURY through inflation of contracts, budget padding of re-written, re-invented, re-enacted/re-legislated figures, perfection of conjured insertions, and had conducted pseudo legislative oversight functions etc, should now write their own last testaments because they are already at the departure lounge to give account of their stewardship to The Creator!

Dubious Nigerian politicians had been the bane, the pains, sorrows and woes of Citizens  and have afforded international communities to cast aspersion on the great nation while they neatly cover up their skeletons! 

These enemies of the downtrodden continuously dwelt in stupendous wealth and opulence, tightly-secured posh houses in the high-rise government reserved areas of ABUJA AND ALL 36 STATE CAPITALS, drive bullet-proof G- WAGONS, RANGE ROVERS and other state-of-art SUV's, fly in personal jet aircrafts across the state capitals for spurious selfish journeys not related to the welfare of their citizens, while the citizens, THE NATURAL WORK FORCE AND HUMAN CAPITAL, were abandoned since Independence, to dwell in villages, hamlets mud/thatched-roofed houses in the remotest and undeveloped areas of the nation without any form of security for their lives from terrorists, bandits, gunmen, Fulani killer herdsmen etc, have given room for 

FOREIGNERS TO CAST ASPERSIONS ON NIGERIA AS A NATION BEREFT OF GOOD LEADERSHIP AND HUMAN DIGNITY!

 

QUESTION: WHY had a population of the Nigerian politicians and the entire Civil Service structure - who occupy positions of authorities (Federal and States) including all parastatals added together, which is less than 2 million - in a country filled with able-bodied men, women and ebullient YOUTHS of about 200 million - BEEN ABLE TO MANIPULATE the masses since 1999 - 2021; with the ripple effects of those inglorious years spiraling EVEN into the self-acclaimed CHANGE AGENDA administration of President Muhammadu Buhari?

THE UNITED NATIONS (UN), UNITED STATES, BRITAIN ETC, CANNOT CONTINUE TO ASSESS NIGERIA'S INSECURITY WHICH HAS ADVERSELY AFFECTED ECONOMIC GROWTH/HIGH INFLATION ON GOODS AND SERVICES THROUGH THE MISDEMEANOR OF THOSE OLD HORSES WHO ARE ON THEIR WAY OUT OF THE SYSTEM, FOR THE DESIRED CREDIBILITY! 

 CORRUPT POLITICIANS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INSECURITY AND ALL FORMS OF CRIMINALITIES THROUGH THEIR AGGRANDIZEMENT! 

The crooked politicians in government have all the official apparatuses to confuse issues and manipulate same in their favor! For instance, what do the Legislators who are aware of their limitations in respect of oversight functions of annual Budgets - that did not originate from them - make selfish and criminal insertions, - (and deliberately delayed such important document of the nation for over half of its life-span period), intend to gain from such attitude other than the illicit accumulation of illegal wealth to the detriment of the down-trodden masses they deceitfully claim to represent?  In the event of such delays as had been occurring decimal since 1999 till date, FIRE BRIGADE approach is forced to be deployed by all CASH-DISPENSING POINTS of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA's), of government to disburse an avalanche of monies into the SYSTEM!

AND in such stampeded scenario, dubious infrastructural projects that were never meant to be executed within the limited time-frame for the budget year to EXPIRE and the illicitly appropriated monies were then diverted into the pockets/bank accounts of the politicians and their cronies for such monies to be eventually disbursed to RIG ELECTIONS AND PERPETUALLY KEEP THE TALAKAWAS (downtrodden), IN SLAVERY!

HON. ABDULMUMIN’S CONFESSION OF BUDGET PADDING! 

IT took divine intervention for Honourable Jibrin Abdulmmumini, of APC to spew the beans in 2016 on how he and his colleagues of ALI BABA'S GANG, usually padded annual budgets to make room for stupendous riches for themselves, and also how distinguished Senator Shehu Sanni, also of All Progressives Congress (APC), revealed that he and his conniving colleagues, had received monthly allowances of N13.5million, designated as RUNNING COSTS, outside of their official salaries of N700.000?

 Hon. Jibrin was suspended for 180 legislative sittings for opening his BIG mouth too wide, while Senator Sanni was lucky to retain his seat because his "distinguished" friends owned up and declared that the payment was very normal, although he was  eventually KICKED OUT IN 2019 AND HAD TO DEFECT TO ANOTHER PARTY IN SHAME!

And  whereas, the poor masses are denied of their meager wages of N30.000, naira per month and their families are dying daily through infant/maternal mortality cases, preventable diseases like (malnutrition, kwashioko, malaria, typhoid, lassa/denge fever, polio, etc,), because of lack of basic social amenities - like clinics, hospitals, potable water,  etc. There is mass illiteracy among the children and adolescents and joblessness among the able-bodied up to 60% of the population of over 200 million people!  For those who are engaged in Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMSEs), which is supposed to be the backbone of industrial growth/economic development, regular supply of electricity is nightmare!

INSECURITY WOULD END IF CORRUPT POLITICIANS ARE ALL COMPLETELY ELIMINATED FROM THE SYSTEM BEFORE 2023! 

Of all prophets of doom, Britain, Nigeria’s former colonial master should cover its face in shame for the very undiplomatic outburst of its foreign diplomat whose crystal ball revealed that the United States of Nigeria (USN), might disintegrate by 2023, for President Muhammadu Buhari to depart for Daura, Katsina State after two terms of eight years at the saddle of power without a befitting legacy of peaceful handover but with ignominy? 

 Chris Beecroft, Director Commonwealth and Development Office in the United Kingdom, said the 2023 General Election might not hold due to rising cases of insecurity/atrocities across all states of Nigeria through mounting insurgency, banditry, incessant gun attacks precipitated by Boko Haram terrorists since the year 2009, full-scale kidnappings, Fulani herders/farmers clashes etc, that had spread from the North-East to virtually all the 774 Local Government Areas without exception!

The diplomat however opined that “....injustice, and impunity, weak Justice Institutions, the proliferation of small arms and weapons, the  weaponization of social media, are all drivers of conflict and instability ..... but with the right commitment, dedications and support, there are solutions .....” through continuous collaboration and  support for the Nigerian Government, when he spoke at a recent event hosted by the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF).

NO NEED TO CRY WOLF, ALL CRIMINALS WILL DROP THEIR WEAPONS IF ALL CITIZENS DEMAND FOR ALL THEIR FUNDAMENTAL/CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS THROUGH POPULAR REFERENDUM!

Has the insecurity status of the nation escalated to unmanageable proportion to warrant such prediction when patriotic Nigerians are busy proffering solutions to the intransigent demand for spread of power from federal to regional states through peaceful restructuring beginning with immediate Devolution of Powers to the States from the CONTROVERSIAL EXCLUSIVE LEGISLATIVE LIST AND PROGRESSING TO DEMANDS FOR REFERENDUM!  

 

Before the 2019 Presidential/General Elections, the threat to adequate security in all polling areas was detected, elections were postponed for some weeks and normalcy restored for peaceful voting – especially in North-East Nigeria!

MUST THE PAST FAILED PREDICTIONS BY THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT IN 2015 & 2019 CONTINUE TO RE-ECHO TO FURTHER FAN EMBERS OF DISUNITY IN NIGERIA?

The United States and Britain passed through tougher terrains of threats of secession, break-up, demands for self-determination by segregating groups/forces but are still united as powerful world powers in spite of the forces of diversity!

QUESTIONS:

Should Nigeria in just 60 years of independence not be encouraged to grow with filial support –especially from Britain?

Should the former colonial master NOT encourage Nigeria to adopt the PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM of government which had worked for its country in centuries as the United Kingdom and advise Nigeria to opt for POPULAR REFERENDUM OR PLEBISCITE even before the 2023 Elections to douse all political tensions and agitations by all stakeholders of the NIGERIAN PROJECT?

Why would the South East/West Geo-Political Zones or any zone want to secede IF they enjoy their rightful places of self-government within the Federation, engendering full potentials of controlling/utilising their Internally Generated Revenues (IGRs), of mineral resources and remitting regularly an agreed percentage of total earnings to the Central Government?

Why should States NOT enjoy free intra/inter state’s economic activities, total leverage in exportation/importation of finished goods and services, adequate security of State Police complimented by effective/indigenous vigilante services, provision of adequate, basic necessities of life - qualitative education, modern health facilities, full utilization of arable lands for maximum yield of agricultural produce for local consumption and finished products for exportation, regular potable water and irrigation of rivers for all-year-round full agricultural produce; etc, etc!

WHICH GROUP AMONG THE OVER 250 TRIBES WOULD EVER DREAM OF SECESSION OR BREAK-UP FROM THE GEOGRAPHICAL ENTERPRISE IF ALL OF THE ABOVE FREEDOMS ARE VERY EXPLICIT IN A BRAND NEW PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION?

This is the moment of TRUTH! NNAMDI KANU, SUNDAY IGBOHO AND NIGERIAN JUDICIARY!

NNAMDI KANU, SUNDAY IGBOHO AND NIGERIAN JUDICIARY!

Though the re-arrest of “Biafra State” protagonist, Nnamdi Kanu, who was facing an 11-count charge of treason, treasonable felony, terrorism and illegal possession of firearms etc, when he jumped bail in 2017, was “fait accompli”, the feat was nothing to jubilate about, although, Lai Mohammed, Information Minister wants everyone to believe that the exercise was “one of the most classic operations of its type in the world”!

In a past summation on Kanu, We classified the 54-year-old as a misguided Igbo Youth who needed further research on the remote and real causes of the 30-month Biafra Civil War from July 1967- January 1970, which began when he was barely TWO MONTHS OLD and to approach the crusade from a more matured perspective!

Although Kanu, leader of the proscribed Independent People Of Biafra (IPOB), was re-arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday 29th June, 2021, he was ordered to be remanded in DSS custody until 26th-27th July, 2021, when the case against him would re-commence, his misplaced doctrine for secession, separation, restructuring, disintegration etc, is spreading like an uncontrollable wild fire which disgruntled youths are poised to support because an unprecedented insecurity beyond the scope of MR. BUHARI & CO. has engulfed the entire nation through, insurgency terrorism, banditry, massive kidnapping of school children, ravaging armed Fulani killer herdsmen, criminal destruction of strategic government infrastructures!

QUESTION: Has anyone ever thought that the erstwhile fugitive Nnamdi Kanu, deliberately baited DSS and its foreign collaborators to officially bring him back to avoid external snipers? 

While Lai was celebrating Kanu’s re-arrest on TWITTER? – No! Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms, SUNDAY IGBOHO, the cat  with nine lives and his associates hi-jacked Lagos Roads to demand for a YORUBA NATION and engaged the POLICE in a hide and seek game for the better part of Saturday, 3rd July, 2021! The DSS say that Igboho is on their “Wanted List!” 

QUESTION: Can the demand for SELF-DETERMINATION be actualized through violence or peaceful negotiations? 

EYINNAYA ABARIBE, (Senate Minority Leader and an Igbo RABBI – KANU’S SURETIES before he jumped bail may now heave a sigh of relief!

THIS JUDICIARY DUMB ASS MUST SPEAK OUT NOW!

Nigerian Judiciary had always played the dumb Ass of the three-tier government structure since independence through deliberate intimidation and coercion by Executive/Legislature, which execute dominant roles of executing public order, peace and security on day-to-day basis until the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), came to its rescue through a nation-wide strike which began on Tuesday 6th April, 2021 and suspended 14th June, 2021!

The over flogged need for Judicial Financial Autonomy that should place the legal body’s salaries, emoluments, all contractual transactions on “a first line charge”, was the plank on which JUSUN based their argument for the 64-day-old strike action described as the longest in the annals of trade disputes of the Nigerian Judiciary!

But the Executive had from independence usurped that constitutional right since the President appoints the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), while Governors appoint Chief Judges of the 36 States, (through explicit approval of the Legislature), pay their salaries and take care of all welfare needs etc, like the proverbial adage which says: “He who pays the piper, calls the tune”.

JUDICIAL POWERS OF THE FEDERATION– according to Section 6 –(1) (2 (3 (4) (a (b), and sub-section 5(a) to (k); Sub-section (6) ()a(d) and Chapter VII Sections 230 – 296, of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, shall be vested  in the Judiciary, which is regarded as the “bastion of democracy”.

The Nigerian Judiciary had never had it so bad in relegation, not even when its Judges were shocked with a surprise midnight Department of State Services (DSS) “Sting Operation” targeted against “corrupt judges” who were fingered by the Executive, which must suppress the cause of justice to achieve fake results by playing the triple role of the accuser, prosecutor and judge!  

A Human Rights Activist opined that there could be several other ways of ensuring Executive compliance to constitutional provisions on judicial autonomy rather than cripple the entire organ of government but We believe that all options were explored to avoid the impasse – including a 21-day ultimatum – which government ignored! 

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), has confirmed that the Abuja Federal High Court verdict of January 2014 which held that constitutional provision of financial autonomy of the judiciary subsisted and must be complied with by the Executive Arm. 

If the Nigerian Judiciary was favored to discharge its constitutional duties under normal conditions of equality of strength, capacity and separation of powers among the three tiers of government, it would not have been rendered almost financially incapacitated by consecutive Executive Arms until President Muhammadu Buhari officially signed Executive Order 10 , having at a previous occasion accused it of frustrating his efforts in fighting CORRUPTION! 

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10!

The Federal Government Agency also reported that on 23rd May, 2020, that President Buhari signed into law the Executive Order 10, to grant financial autonomy to the Legislature and Judiciary across the 36 States of Nigeria and also mandated the Accountant General of the Federation TO DEDUCT FROM SOURCE amount due to State Legislatures and Judiciaries from the monthly allocation to each State for States that refuse to grant such autonomy. 

The Attorney General of the Federation, also said that Executive Order 10 of 2020 made it mandatory that all States of the Federation should include the allocations of both the Legislature and the Judiciary in the first line charge of their budgets (i.e. directly from the Federation Account), and also constituted a “Presidential Implementation Committee to ensure compliance with Section 121(3), of the 1999, Constitution (as amended)!”

NAN also reported that the Governors Forum promised to begin implementation of the Financial Autonomy May 2021 ending, following a meeting with all state holders at the State House, Abuja. 

JUDICIARY AS THE GUARDIAN PROTECTOR OF NIGERIAN CONSTITUTION MUST OCCUPY ITS RIGHTFUL POSITION TO GIVE HOPE TO THE COMMON MAN AND THE OPPRESSED IN THE LAND “ACCORDING TO THE LAW”!

Now that JUSUN has partially bailed out its senior partner from the 60-year bondage by the duo taskmasters of the Executive/Legislature, the Judiciary should give more attention to dispensing justice to the people, build the structure  of civil liberty through judicious interpretation and application of laws, intensify role in law-making, equity legislation, protection of fundamental human rights, jealously guarding the Constitution and securing all lawful power to get its decisions and judgments enforced in order to lawfully occupy its significant role as the LAST HOPE OF THE COMMON MAN! 

During the elongated JUSUN strike, the following derelictions by major stakeholders were very glaring:

Mr. President was aloof, nonchalant, folded his arms and said, “I don do my own o … I don sign Executive Order 10, shikeena!”

The Nigerian Judicial Council (NJC), and the Chief Justice of Nigeria were very passive like “household enemies”, who usually benefitted from calamities! 

The Minister of Labor intermittently paid “lip service” and watched the situation deteriorate for TWO MONTHS while as usual, poor citizens, litigants, incarcerated prisoners and those awaiting trial, bore the brunt in the 64 days which resulted in  various economic loses through maladministration of the BUHARI ADMINISTRATION!

THE JUDICIARY SHOULD ALWAYS AVOID INJUSTICE IN ANY FORM AND CONSTANTLY REMEMBER THAT JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED!

ROLE OF THE NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION!

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), members who were temporarily SHUT OUT OF LIVELIHOOD FROM THE COURTS, supported the strike from start to finish! They were with JUSUN on street protests (rain or shine), across all States of the Federation to press home their demands in the most decent and lawful manner AND to urge governments at both Federal and States to do the needful without further delay!  

With the ultimate success of JUSUN Strike, Lawyers should occupy the forefront of the struggle for justice to assert the independence of the Judiciary and jealously guard its structural position as the corner stone which the builder rejected BUT has now become the HEAD OF THE CORNER!

SHOULD THE COURTS GO ON RECESS HAVING LOST  MUCH GROUNDS TO JUSUN STRIKE?

In spite of the hues and cries over lost period of 64 days of JUSUN Strike, the Nigerian Courts will proceed on its annual recess from the second week of July 2021, but will nevertheless, provide auxiliary services and continue to operate as normal during those periods, in which hearings could be organized if the circumstances of the case so demand.

THE JUDICIARY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THE THREE ARMS AND SHOULD OCCUPY ITS RIGHTFUL POSITION HENCEFORTH!

Nigerians can do without thieving politicians in both the executive and the legislative BUT DEFINITELY NOT WITHOUT THE JUDICIARY!

NIGERIA WILL OVERCOME POVERTY WHEN SENATE IS SHUT DOWN!

Is Nigeria poor? What manner of poverty is the nation suffering from? What is the nature of the poverty? What is, or who are the causes of the poverty?
In July 2018 when the UN Common Country Analysis (CCA), through “a progression chart” applied by World Poverty Clock (WPC), adjudged Nigeria was the “poverty capital of the world”, there was indignation, uproar and commotion among the various stakeholders of the Nigerian economy which disagreed with the rating and called for the heads of those responsible for the outrageous and most despicable report!

Our 258th Edition of 22 July, 2018 was devoted to counter the “obnoxious report” which We condemned in all ramifications! Below are some excerpts of the publication:

“THE OBNOXIOUS UNITED NATIONS REPORT PRESUMPTIONS ARE UNTENABLE!
In spite of the fact that Nigeria has one of the highest economic growth rates in the world, it was adjudged in the year 2016, in a United Nations (UN), report tagged, Common Country Analysis, (CCA), as the one of the poorest countries in terms of per capita income!
In the year 2017, it was reported that poverty- stricken Nigerians depended mostly on REMITTANCES from the Diaspora as economic crisis bit harder in the first quarter; and now in 2018 second quarter, Nigeria, according to " World Poverty Clock",  WPC, June, 2018, Nigeria had about 87 million people living in poverty as against India's 73 million! Before the turn of the 21st Century, China and India, the two most populous countries in the world hosted the poorest of the poor globally but the former which Nigeria is emulating, had transformed into a very viable economic nation, second only to the United States! According to the unacceptable universal projections, Nigeria and the Republic of Congo, "now share" the last two positions at the bottom of the ladder of poorest nations, but we strongly belief that the efforts of the current administration in erasing that notion through its determined and unrelenting efforts through diversification to land cultivation and exploration of god-given mineral resources, in the past THREE AND A HALF YEARS, were not considered in that report! Currently, there is a deliberate effort of transferring wealth to farmers, other land cultivators and the Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMSE's), who have taken advantage of government-assisted bank support through the CBN, BOI, and the African Development Bank, soft loans, which were alien to those sectors in the past! In addition, there were aggressive moves by APC governments (Federal and States), to reduce the number of able-bodied un-employment/under-employment of employable adults at all sectors of economic development of the nation through massive employment of technical/university graduates, which will increase to about 500,000 employments before the expiration the second quarter, in spite of the available scarce resources!
The market women, artisans of all grades and vocations, were not excised from the largesse rolled out by President Muhammadu Buhari, who perhaps, has the love of the poor masses of Nigeria at heart and has so exhibited his passion for them so passionately more than anyone else in this century! NIGERIA IS POISED TO BE RANKED AMONG THE 20 MOST ECONOMICALLY-VIABLE NATIONS BY THE YEAR 2020 - WHILE THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs), PROGRESSES TO ITS LOGICAL CONCLUSIONS IN 2030!”

AT THE MOUTH OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES, A MATTER IS ESTABLISHED!
In spite of Our strong defence against the United Nation’s claim, incumbent Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan unequivocally told whosoever cared to listen on Thursday, 24th June 2021, having concluded a two-hour closed-door meeting with President Buhari at the State House, Abuja, that “NIGERIA IS A POOR COUNTRY THAT HAS NO OPTION BUT TO BORROW TO FUND INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT!
QUESTION: Will the resort to borrowing alleviate or erase poverty? Senator Lawan made a sweeping statement, sidelined all of the opening probing questions without implicating the National Assembly (NASS) of COMPLICITY IN THE CREATION OF THE NIGERIAN KIND OF SELF-INFLICTED POVERTY!
This fresh development got Us very angry, deflated, embarrassed, nonplussed and wondered what spurred the 62-year-old academician to so conclude and whereas it was in the public domain that the Number Three man in the Federal Executive hierarchy and his 468 predator legislators in both Red/Green Chambers, have annually depleted annual budgeting process by cornering for themselves large chunk of annual budgets through selfish demands for exotic vehicles, unconstitutional outrageous allowances outside of annual salaries, in the following categories: monthly working allowances of N3.5 million, plus 15 other allowances gulping from between 10%-400% of their secret basic salaries!
In every annual budget, the National Assembly is allocated the sum of between N115-150 billion, which they still complained was meagre compared to the size of consecutive DEFICIT budgets funded with borrowed monies!

RUNNING NIGERIA AGROUND WITH SENATE RUBBER- STAMPED BORROWED MONIES!
Is it not true that All Progressives Congress (APC), Administration since assumption of duties from 2015 had consistently executed annual deficit budgets with borrowed foreign/local funds to satisfy the whims and caprices of politicians especially the legislators under the guise of funding national development in the areas of critical infrastructure projects in health, education among others? The latest of such clandestine requests was the President’s fresh N2.343 trillion (USD$6,183 billion), external loan from the Senate early June, 2021, which he claimed “was to finance the 2021 budget deficit BUT which would ultimately increase the nation’s indebtedness to USD$ 35.683 billion when eventually rubber stamped! 

NIGERIA’S DEBT PROFILE FROM 2015 TO 2020!
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), on Thursday 24th June 2021, confirmed Nigeria’s debt profile at N33.11 trillion to end Quarter 1 of March, 2021!
As of December 2020, the nation’s public debt was N32.9 trillion naira, or USD$86.3 billion dollars according to the Debt Management Office!
BREAKDOWN:
N12.47 trillion or 37.67% [External]; N20.64 trillion or 62.33% [Domestic].
NBS working in concert with the Debt Management Office (DMO) verified and confirmed the figures with the following details that:
Domestic public debt stock of the Federal Government totalled N16.51 trillion during the period under review;
States and Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was N4.12trillion;
Lagos State is indebted to the tune of 12.31% of the N4.12 trillion naira domestic debt stock while Jigawa State had the least debt stock at 0.77% of the total debt portfolio according to the data report ending with the first Q1 -31st March, 2021!
Most of these debts were borrowed in the first FOUR years of President Buhari’s Administration via multilateral development, bilateral and commercial loans (Eurobonds and Diaspora bonds).

All borrowings can be stopped when the CHINA INNOVATION is implemented as we suggested in 2017 as reproduced bellow!

President Xi Jinping of China is one Executive who caught world attention in recent times because of the his unusual patriotism and selfless leadership style which forbids him from dwelling in affluence and opulence while millions of his nation's excessive population of over 1 billion people, wallowed in squalor and abject poverty! He has unequivocally, declared that poverty would be totally kicked out of his country by the year 2020 through the consolidation of massive employment in the agricultural, manufacturing and industrial sectors.
This Reformist who believes in the supremacy of strong institutions continued to build on the platforms for the eradication of poverty of previous administrations, which began in 1982, by ensuring that corruption had no place in his administration and also that more attention was paid to all facets of economic life of the nation, through introduction of modern agricultural innovations to ensure food sufficiency and security!
It is on record that over the last 35 years, 800 million people in China have been successfully lifted  out of poverty - in 2016 alone, the nation lifted 12.4 million people above poverty line and is determined to lift at least 10 million people out of poverty  annually AND STAMP OUT POVERTY PERMANENTLY FROM CHINA BY THE YEAR 2020!”

NIGERIANS SHOULD RESIST ADDICTED/OBSESSIVE BORROWING AS SUGGESTED BY SENATOR AHMAD LAWAN, WHO MUST RETURN TO THE LABOUR MARKET WITH HIS I08 OPPORTUNIST COLLEAGUES FROM 29TH MAY, 2030!

It is now very obvious that this Buhari administration no longer has compassion, neither for the TALAKAWAS nor the UNBORN generations of Nigerians who would be saddled with debt servicing/payments instead of diversifying to agriculture and acquiring new inventions through modern technology for economic sustainability! CORRUPTION has been identified as the Major reason for the high rate of poverty in Nigeria! Who are the corrupt? The less than 2 million of the population in the constitutional Three Arms MUST be cut to size NOW! Nigeria has OPTION to shut the Senate, reduce House of Representative members to 74, to make room for a Parliamentary system of government, and block all financial leakages through ESTACODES! These major step coupled with DEVOLUTION OF POWERS, will do the MIRACLE for a brand new Nigeria!

NIGERIA’S SECURITY ARCHITECTURE IS DIPLOMACY DEFICIENT!

Have the citizens ever wondered why the criminals were always one step ahead of Nigerian security agents; commit each crime with ease and gusto, hit critical/soft targets like professionals, disappear without trace, hide, undetected and forever unprosecuted? (
The answer is not far-fetched – they were always supplied with information with relevant data by personnel of government agencies, politicians – at both executive/legislative levels who disclose secret and confidential information carelessly and undiplomatically in order to gain cheap popularity and applause but inadvertently or deliberately disclose vital security secrets to terrorists, bandits and kidnappers!

Pre-Election POLICE Road Shows and Power display have never deterred electoral malpractices, thuggery, ballot-snatching, torch of Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), strategic facilities or criminal attacks on its personnel! Statistics of personnel deployments at elections which should be kept to chest, were usually reeled out for public consumption and by extension to the CRIMINAL ELEMENTS who also have free access to social media!*Such wasted energies should have been diverted to preventive operations through plain-clothed agents, who would nip all criminal tendencies in the bud before, during and after elections!
Media trials by EFCC and DSS, when investigations were yet to commence or inconclusive had proved to be fatal to prosecution because suspects through their lawyers could challenge or puncture procedural methods to escape justice!
The Military are equally guilty of the same derelictions in the line of duty! They disclosed security information without much thought during Internal Security (IS) Operations, which criminals covet to maneuver and escape arrests or prosecution!
(4)It is very undiplomatic to publicly lament that the nation’s armed forces/police was OVERSTRETCHED when science has provided DRONES, CCTV CAMERAS, SATELLITE IMAGES to tackle insecurity without giving any sense of advantage to criminals! 

CAN ISWAP STAND SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WITH NIGERIAN ARMED FORCES?

The  Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP), terrorists – which have joined forces with the remnants of a splinter group of Boko Haram CAN NEVER STAND THE FIRE POWER OF NIGERIA’S SECURITY FORCES  which have best international training, exposure, experience and expertise far above all its contemporaries in the West African sub region and by extension the whole of the Black African Continent!

The terrorist wars in Nigeria are NOT CONVENTIONAL BUT OF ESPIONAGE/ GUERILLA in nature and scope – which has created intricate challenges of logistics in view of its ubiquitous posture!
BUT a two-star retired Commander of “Operation Safe Haven”, has told the world this week that ISWAP had more sophisticated weapons and international exposure/funding than the Nigerian Armed Forces – a statement which received immediate condemnation from Senator Ali Ndume [Senate Chairman, Army], who was on the same interactive television programme!
The import of the retired General’s statement would have given ISWAP fresh encouragement to employ more guerilla tactics into the war! However, there was a divine intervention which set Boko Haram against their collaborators and resulted in great casualties among them during the same week! 

THE INTRANSIGENT WAR OF ATTRITION IN RETROSPECT!

Nigeria’s major security challenge since the year 2009 had been Boko Haram insurgency which metamorphosed into a hydra-headed monster comprising terrorists, bandits, gunmen, Fulani killer herdsmen, kidnappers, rapists etc, and still ravaging the entire landscape with unbridled effrontery in 2021!

AND having more or less “subdued” over 200 million population, hoisted their jihadist caliphate flags to assert authority, resorted to collecting taxes in several occupied local government areas especially in the   North East Geo-Political Zone, the dare-devils extended their tentacles to regional neighbors by launching attacks across the Lake Chad, Niger, Cameroon and Chad!

They were fiercely repelled by those nations – most especially – by Chad which late President, Idriss Deby Itno, a veteran soldier, who personally led the theatre of war to decimate the terrorists from the Chadian Territory in an operation code-named “Operation Wrath of Bomo”!

Reports had it that President Deby was furious when Boko Haram dealt the heaviest blow by killing 90 of his soldiers in one fell swoop and led his troops against them from 31st March 2020 – 9th April, 2020, a-ten-day offensive which took place at Kelkoua Bank and Magumeri (a local government in Northern Bornu State), where they destroyed the terrorists bunkers, killed about 1,000 of them, recovered cache of arms, arrested their top commander, and freed some Nigerian soldiers held captive!

President Deby later confirmed in a tweet that “no elements of Boko Haram is present in the Islands of Lake Chad” and in a meeting with the Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MJTF), in Kaiga-Kindjinria of the Lake Chad Region, Nigeria’s Major General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf, he discussed security deployments on the Islands of Lake Chad.          

NOW THAT IDRISS DEBY IS DEAD! (1952-2021).

He assumed office in December 1990 through a coup-de-tat and ruled for 30 years but now that he is dead and Chad has officially disengaged from further military engagements in the Sahel area of the lake Chad Basin, NIGERIA HAS TO UP ITS GAME to bring the Boko Haram affront to victorious end not only in the Northern States but across the geographical zones of the country! 

COULD MAJOR GENERAL MUHAMMADU HAVE DONE THE SAME?

Of course but for his age which according to him has created some limitations! “Oh, if only I could have been much younger, like when I was a Military Governor of Borno State, he lamented shortly after he assumed office in 2015?”
“I WISH I WAS PRESIDENT AT A YOUNGER AGE SAYS BUHARI!”
President Buhari said on 15th June, 2015, in Johannesburg, South Africa while meeting with the Nigerian Community in that nation that though he would have wished to be President at a much younger age, he would still give his best shot to move Nigeria forward!

He also said that he was determined to support the downtrodden and take poverty out of the State of Nigeria which has greater potentials than Somalia!

THE PRESIDENT WAS ALSO CULPABLE  IN DIPLOMACY DEFICIT AS WE PUBLISHED IN OUR 102nd EDITION OF 26TH JULY, 2015!

“At Seventy-two and a half years of age, President Muhammadu Buhari is comparatively young compared to contemporary astute world leaders, monarchs, heads of states, and politicians who had distinguished themselves in alertness of mind, comprehension, expression, at local, international and diplomatic assignments, considering his frugal life-style and his avowed socialist ideologies/policies, and should therefore perform creditably in view of the enormous task of rebuilding his country, Nigeria from its ashes!

Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe , 91 years; Queen Elizabeth of England 89; Beji Caid Essebsi of Tunisia, 88; Raul Castro of Cuba, 84; Paul Biya of the Cameroons, 82;  and Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine, 80, are still bona fide Heads of their various countries and are known to be performing State duties optimally.

“Can we safely conclude that the old-age “syndrome” has caught up with President Buhari or that he is suffering from memory loss, relapse or dysfunction in view of embarrassing gaffes during his recent official visit to the United States of America (USA).
During his “tete-a-tete” with President Barack Obama and other engagements of high-level talks, press conferences and even the meeting with US Nigerians Diaspora Organisation (NDO), the President had challenges of “accidental slips” which turned out to be diplomatically noticeable and very embarrassing!

“President Buhari published an Op-ed ( a personal opinion column), which was detrimental and contrary to diplomatic norm and international best practice in the Washington Post which turned out to be a social mistake and an indictment to his own administration, in which he disclosed his plans to defeat terrorism and the Boko Haram insurgency, including his intention to appoint ministers in September, 2015!

TWO PRESIDENTS NIGERIA NEVER HAD!

[IN COMMEMORATION OF JUNE 12 DEMOCRACY DAY, 2021]

Social analysts always postulate that politics is a game of numbers where majority would have their way and minority, their say! True as the assertion might seem, the reverse obtained in diarchy where strange bed fellows comprising the military and politicians run despotic/feudalistic agendas and are backed by defective constitutions as obtains in Nigeria!
Imagine if the military had allowed democracy to thrive through trial and error, commission and omission, from Independence, the late sage, erudite politician/legal practitioner, Chief Obafemi Awolowo [who through visionary leadership, transformed Western Nigeria into a hub of economic destination, introduced FREE PRIMARY EDUCATION TO ALL RESIDENTS irrespective of their tribe or region; established the first in Africa victory TELEVISION SERVICES, even before the European nation of France debuted the electronic tube etc, etc], would have been VOTED PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA and would have served very creditably!
Imagine if Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola, a resourceful/tested, erudite business mogul and billionaire was allowed to claim his mandate at the 1993 Presidential Election and was NOT robbed by the Military junta of General Ibrahim Babangida, he would have become Nigeria’s President in a landslide victory which gave him the upper hand even in the local government area of his opponent, Alhaji Bashir Tofa, who hailed from Kano State!

BUT those thoughts were never to materialize  because the continuous/consecutive gun-toting  administrations in Black Africa’s most-populous nation has relegated the country to the bottom of the ladder in all international perception indexes – corruption, insecurity, poverty, infrastructural deficiency/decay in education, health facilities, social welfare and the economy at large BECAUSE  TRUTH was truncated for FALSEHOOD!

Apart from the dwindling foreign exchange earnings from oil and gas, Nigeria cannot boast of any substantive internally generated revenues from other sources because agriculture which was the nation’s financial mainstay was gradually abandoned by consecutive military governments due to “easy oil money” source readily available for imported foreign goods from virtually every country of the world!
AND BECAUSE the minority northern oligarchy in government believed they should remain in power at the Federal level forever therefore ganged up to truncate the JUNE 12, 1993 Presidential Election which marked a watershed in the annals of Nigeria's political history!

A day when all Nigerians on that date in 1993, voted overwhelmingly for the Southerner among two Muslim presidential candidates of North/South political divide, in an election supervised by the Military Government of General Ibrahim Babangida and adjudged to be one of the freest, fairest, credible and peaceful ever held in Nigeria!
Though that election was annulled by the military junta, 28 years ago (1993-2021), the annual commemoration of that memorable event had never ceased to be held by political pressure groups - especially in the South West, where the acclaimed winner, late business mogul, Chief Moshood Abiola hailed from!

In that epoch election, all Nigerians agreed in one accord to vote for both candidates without the sentiments of religion that none of the candidates was a Christian in an unprecedented patriotism of the national conscience and in the doctrine of ONE NIGERIA!

June 12 which overcame ethnic, tribal, cultural, traditional barriers and diversities, has proved beyond all reasonable doubts that positive national ideologies have more impact among the citizens of this modern civilization than the mere geographical amalgamation of Nigeria's Northern/Southern Protectorates of 1914, which only aimed to expand the business empire of the colonial masters who governed with veto powers.
But has the Spirit of June 12 died in almost all the ethnicities/tribes who now opt for the break-up of our dearly-beloved indivisible, indissoluble, naturally and resourcefully-endowed country of over 250 tribe/ethnic groups and about 500 diverse languages?

MILITARY INCURSION TO NIGERIAN POLITICS WAS ABERRATION!

The military as security organ of government that defends the country from external aggression WAS NOT IN MAJORITY and subject to civil authorities according to Chapter I, Section I (2) of the 1963 Republican Constitution which forbids “……the governance or the control of the Government of Nigeria or any part thereof, except in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution”, BUT with brazen effrontery and defiance to the said document, staged a coup-de-tat and took over government by force on 15 July, 1966, as the very first group of persons in Africa to  carry out such dastard act to get mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records!

Since that unfortunate incident the MINORITY has always had both its SAY AND WAY in every administration in Nigeria!

FACTS AND FIGURES.

Although Northern Nigeria always claimed larger population according to census demographic data, it has always been faulted by the South which alleged that COWS AND SHANTY HUTS were included in the figures always computed by successive Federal Governments mostly headed by NORTHERNERS!
The Prime Minister at Independence in 1960 was a Northerner supported by a figure-head “President” from the South!
In May 1962, the first post-independence census organized by the Federal Government began amidst fears by Southern politicians who were apprehensive of a repetition of past manipulation by the North and were poised to put an end to their dubious dominance of the Nigerian political space! Advocacy and massive mobilization through the media – print, radio/electronic and distribution of pamphlets were employed to sensitize the people but at the “end of the exercise”, final results were not made public because the North was very desperate to maintain a false status quo!
In 1963, a new census was held, and another in 1973 which produced alarming figures that were disputed and nullified! In 1992 General Ibrahim Babangida conducted another census which result in March 1992 was officially put at about 89 million people! In 2006, another census was conducted and the result was put at 140 million, more than 50% of the 1992 figure because more figures accrued to the North in the new exercise! The National Bureau of Statistics website is replete with all census data from independence!
There are more Northern Military Heads of State/Democratic Presidents than from the South: Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa; General Yakubu  Gowon; General Murtala Mohammed; General Olusegun Obasanjo; Alhaji Shehu Shagari; General Muhammadu Buhari; General, Ibrahim Babangida; northern leaders foisted the feudalistic hegemony; Interim President, Chief Ernest Shonekan; General Sanni Abacha; General, Abdusalam Abubakar; Retired General Olusegun Obasanjo; Alhaji Musa Yar Adua; Dr. Goodluck Jonathan; Retired Major General Olusegun Obasanjo; Retired Major General, Muhammadu Buhari – NINE Northerners as against TWO from the South?
Each and every one of the nine northern leaders foisted the feudalistic hegemony of “supremacy” of their region! 

LET’S GIVE IT TO PRESIDENT BUHARI WHO RECTIFIED THE JUNE 12 INJURY ON NIGERIAN ELECTORATE!

In an historic recognition of late Chief MKO Abiola, the presumed winner of the June 12, 1993 cancelled election, President Muhammadu Buhari on June 6, 2018, awarded to him posthumously the highest honor of the land, Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR). On that date, the President also assented to a Bill amending May 29 previously set aside as public holiday to be replaced by June 12 as the new Democracy Day.
President Buhari’s gesture including the change of Abuja National Stadium to Moshood Abiola Stadium will remain an indelible, magnanimous/exemplary act of statesmanship and an unusual gesture from a sitting President to rectify an issue which had polarized Nigerians for 28 years!

JUNE 12, 2021 PROTESTS ACROSS NIGERIA!

There were street protests across Nigeria by aggrieved people who were tired of the Buhari Administration and wished that he should quit if he was bereft of solutions.

We thank God there were no human casualties because We have counseled them to KEEP OFF THE STREETS but preserve their YOUTHFUL ENERGIES till 2023 and take over the government with their VOTES!
THE NORTHERN MINORITY IN SEAT OF POWER HAVE CONTINUOUSLY EMPLOYED DUBIOUS CENSUS DATA AS SMOKESCREEN TO REMAIN IN OFFICE AT THE CENTRE!
Data collected by census determine the number of seats each State has in the House of Representatives and also used to adjust or redraw electoral districts/constituencies based on where populations have either increased or decreased with a view to assist in revenue allocation, including employee appointments into the civil service ministries, departments and parastatal by Federal Government which has prerogative of the Exclusive Legislative List (of 68 items), which virtually determines the LIVELIHOOD STATUS of the entire population of Nigerians!

Nigeria’s 2020 population is estimated at 206,139,589 people at mid-year according to United Nations (UN) data. Nigeria population is equivalent to 2.64% of the total world population and ranks number seven (7), in the list of countries (and dependencies), by population.

The 2006 census data which placed Nigeria’s population at 140 million people was most recent and was plagued by political interference from design through to implementation but in 2020, census was estimated at 206 million people.

The PDP Government of Dr. Ebele Jonathan could not conduct any census according to lack of funds neither has the current administration of President Buhari! The VEIL of deceit in respect of greater  population of the North has been torn to shreds because all high density and commercial are located -south of Rivers Niger and Benue – with their population increasing by the hour! Whenever funds were made available and high information technology employed – TRUTH will prevail! “Thou shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.”

BUHARI WILL PAY FOR FAILURE TO DECLARE NATIONAL DAY OF REPENTANCE!

[PROPHETIC REVELATIONS AGAINST THE NIGERIAN PRESIDENT!]

“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, He hath also rejected thee from being king.” [1 Samuel. 15:23.KJV.]
In the month of May 2021, the LORD, commanded, President Muhammadu Buhari, through this medium, twice [Editions 404th and 406th of 9th and 23rd respectively], to declare a “National Day of Fasting and Prayers” before the month ran out, so that God might forgive the all sins, heal the land of Nigeria of insecurity and stop incessant bloodshed!

The President was informed that his predecessor in office, Dr. Ebele Jonathan, refused a similar instruction in 2014 and that his inaction was responsible for the calamitous state of insecurity traversing the entire nation from that time till date!  He was advised to CHOOSE THE NINEVEH option according to the Book of Jonah. 3:1-10, and give Nigeria a second chance for divine redemption BUT like Jonathan [who is now his special envoy to Mali], he has also failed woefully AND the LORD has said that he would pay dearly for his effrontery against Him!

THUS SAYEST THE LORD TO MUHAMMADU BUHARI: 
When you were frustrated after your third attempt to don the title of democratic president, I your Father, encouraged you to make one more attempt and gave you the throne against all odds!
I stood by you in spite of your weakness, incapability, frailty, indisposition, health deficit …. and the least I expect of you was to follow my instructions through My appointed Prophet in Zion.
I your LORD has overlooked past errors of commission and omission and your inadvertent sins BUT this deliberate disobedience WILL I NOT FORGIVE!
From henceforth, I have rent the kingdom of Nigeria from you and have given it to your neighbor whom you have so despised but who is far better than you!
You will remain a mere figure head and all your surrogates/kitchen cabinet members will disobey and flout your weightless “executive orders”!
I am not blind to massive corruption of the past SIX years under your watch which has increased crimes, criminalities, and bloodshed all over the land. I will require the blood of all the innocent from your hand!
I have withdrawn MY immunity from you and you will continue to suffer several bouts of sickness henceforth, you will travel to foreign lands to seek help but you will get none! HOWEVER, YOU WILL NOT DIE IN OFFICE!
All your cohorts will receive punishments according to the gravity of involvement in the looting/robbery of the NATIONAL TREASURY for their selfish ends and aggrandizement!
I will definitely NOT spare anyone found culpable in your administration, your family/friends or among members of your ruling party in order to save MY country and MY children whose BLOOD cries to me daily from the earth!!

THE ANGER AND WRATH OF THE LORD WAS KINDLED AT MIDNIGHT OF 31ST MAY 2021, WHEN PRESIDENT BUHARI FAILED TO HONOR THE LORD’S COMMAND! 

On Tuesday 1st June, 2021, the President threatened South East Igbos’ who spearheaded the 30-month-old Biafra war from 1966-1970 following reports of attacks on state institutions and personnel in the South East and South-South regions of Nigeria and categorically stated that his government would deal with the violent secessionists in the language they understood.“Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months who went through the war will treat them in the language they understand!” The President totally forgot the declaration of “NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED! The statement was an incitement and self indictment; and coming from the number one citizen, was very abnormal because it was incensed through the influence of an “evil spirit” from the pit of HELL! The President’s vituperation was the consequence of his earlier disobedience to the LORD’S command, but many did not know the cause! King Saul was regularly possessed by an evil spirit for disobedience to divine commandments!
From Wednesday 2nd June, 2021, and throughout the first week, killings by Fulani killer herders and more attacks on strategic state installation continued and its was reported that not less than 300 people were slaughtered across the nation, from North to South!
On Thursday 3th June, 2021, Tweeter – an American micro-blogging and social networking service - deleted President Buhari’s post which it considered violated its “abusive behavior” policy just as American ex President Donald Trump did during the heat of the 2020 tussle for the White House!
On Friday, 4th June, 2021, President Buhari ordered an indefinite suspension of Twitter without giving much thought to the consequence of its action which also violated the citizens’ human rights of association and expression! And from that date and on daily basis the President and his Minister of Information have had the worst nightmare of their live considering the barrage of condemnation through the same Twitter platform which they claimed to have “banned”! 
THINGS ARE FALLING APART AND THE CENTRE CAN NO LONGER HOLD! The President’s very controversial statement still trended and gathered an avalanche of very unpleasant comments on all social media, including electronic and print as anger flowed freely from every direction shortly before this publication went to bed! QUESTIONS: (a) Should military mentality hold sway against citizens’ fundamental rights to whom constitutional sovereignty belonged in a democratic setting as being witnessed in Nigeria? (b)Was it a wonder then that if the President could flout the Grundnorm (Constitution), that bounds him to the people who are visible flesh and blood with impunity, would he care if he disobeyed God, Who is Spirit?
BUT GOD IS SUPREME! GOD told Prophet Moses to “speak to the rock” to bring forth WATER, but he chose to “hit the rock with his staff” because he was “provoked by the people” and the LORD prevented him from entering the promise land that flowed with milk and honey in spite of the unique affinity between him and God!
UNIVERSAL LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT! The principles of “Cause and Effect” and of “Change” are identical, authentic, sacrosanct and foolproof in that both have never and will never fail to occur as long as the Omniscient GOD controls the affairs of men! (a)The law of cause and effect states that “Every effect has a specific and predictable cause”; just like the trending hate speech against the Igbos’ which President Buhari has linked to the unfortunate Biafra Civil War, which began 6th July 1967 and ended 15th January 1970, (51 years ago).Every cause or action has a specific and predictable effect – BUT THE CAUSE ALWAYS PRECEDES THE EFFECT! (b)Change IS CONSTANT: The late Stephen Covey was quoted by Wallace in 2014, as saying: “There were three ‘Constants in life, Change, Choice and Principles’. Change remains CONSTANT through choice and principles!!

“I HATE THE IGBOS’ WITH PASSION” – DID BUHARI SAY THAT?
When President Buhari came on board in 2015, he accused South Easterners for failing to vote for him at the polls and gloated that those who gave him 97 per cent would get more dividends than the Igbos who gave only 3%; but later back-pedaled when Our Editorial Board and all well-meaning Nigerians criticized his resolve and reminded him of the Constitutional Doctrine of Equal Share of the dividends of democracy!

He then said,  “By the Constitution, no State can be excluded from government, so there is no way even if  I want to show gratitude to those constituencies that voted for me and those that did’nt even vote for me, they have the protection of government.

“And I have made an undertaking that, ‘I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody’. If I come clear and show and marginalize a certain group because they didn’t vote for me, then I have already contradicted myself. And I am sure people will be quick to pick that.”
Character will either make or mar a person! He is formulated, modulated by conscience to create a conducive platform for leadership qualities. Good character is innate, in-born and manifests early in life especially when nurtured through good parentage or mentorship!

WHO WERE MAJOR GENERAL BUHARI’S MENTORS BEFORE AND DURING THE 30-MONTH BIAFRAN WAR?

“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. [Romans. 5:19].
ATTENTION:
But GOD does not want any sinner to perish but that all may repent and be saved! The leprous General Naaman of Syria needed healing but was very proud and had to be persuaded by loyal lieutenants to wash in River Jordan according to the word of Prophet Elisha, the Man of God; and in obedience, was instantly healed!
President Buhari, you MUST get down from your high horse in order to be totally healed like General Naaman! “I WILL TEMPER JUSTICE WITH MERCY, SAYS THE LORD!” MY ANGER AGAINST YOU CAN BE TEMPERED IF YOU ARE PREPARED TO MAKE RESTITUTION FOR REPENTANCE: (1) EMBARK ON A SEVEN-DAY FASTING & PRAYERS FOR PERSONAL CLEANSING FROM FRIDAY 11TH TO THURSDAY 17TH JUNE, 2021;
SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY OF A SECOND CHANCE TO NOW OBEY MY COMMANDMENT AND DECLARE ONE DAY OF NATIONAL FASTING & PRAYERS TO SEEK MY INTERVENTION TO RESTORE PEACE TO NIGERIA!
WITHIN THIS LAST LAP OF YOUR REMAINING TWO YEARS IN OFFICE, RE-ESTABLISH YOUR INTEGRITY THROUGH A RIGHTEOUS ADMINISTRATION THAT WILL TERMINATE CORRUPTION AND ADDRESS THE PEOPLES’ NEEDS FOR BASIC AMENITIES OF LIFE!

The ball is in your court again Mr. President! You MUST do the WILL OF GOD for Him to HEAL NIGERIA and cast the spell of the “evil spirit” OUT! Amen.
