ZION B-BC NEWSLETTER. [ A Publication of the Zion Faith Bible-Believing Church, Kpeyegyi, Abuja] Vol.16. 01-12-13 WHO INHERITS NIGERIA? Nigeria had a land area of 923,768.00 square kilometres, before part of Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River State, was officially ceded to the Republic of Cameroon, on August 14, 2008. This country, Nigeria, is the one described in the Bible as, ‘a good land’ - a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey, a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing, a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills. Nigeria is the only country we can collectively claim its ownership and are recognized as ‘bona-fide’ citizens. We and our progenitors of several generations past, were all born and bred here and we are very proud to belong to this vast nation, ‘flowing with milk and honey.’ At 53, we are qualified for the revered status of grandparent and should naturally behave as one, who is blessed with children, grand and great-grand children, to cater, nurture, guide, counsel into mature and God-fearing adults. But, this well-painted scenario is being sabotaged by some ungodly people who are piloting the affairs of this magnificent nation in an ungodly manner! There is no fear of God before their eyes, for, to them, ill-gotten wealth has given them the leverage to commit sins of embezzlement, avarice, illegal acquisition of properties, and perverting the course of justice with much relish. In the process, these evil people have impoverished the masses to a point where many have resorted to picking from garbage and rubbish dung before they can feed, while the children and wards, of these perverts, feed fat on the sweat and blood of the poor! Some time ago, twenty six (26) of the thirty-six (36) governors of this nation who were at one time accused by the head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, [EFCC], of having looted the ‘commonwealth’, on a large scale and have in the process crippled Nigeria’s economy, are yet to be prosecuted. Instead, these untouchable citizens are seated in the ‘hallowed chambers’ of the National Assembly and are also holding honourable positions in the present administration where they enact laws to govern the rest of us because they are ignorant of the true Biblical record of the Holy Ghost who exposed Ananias and Sapphira, the couple who stole from the ‘common pool’ in Acts 5:1- 10! Thank God! One of them is confessing! The Holy Ghost is at work and we have good news for the good people of this great nation. Recently, one of the Governors’ son was caught for money-laundering offence and the social media pointed accusing fingers to his Excellency, who came out boldly to declare that if he were alleged a ‘thief’, because his kid, ‘forgot’ to declare thousands of the United States dollars tucked away in his back pocket on his way out of the country, there were, smarter ‘daddy thieves’ than himself, in the presidency! The confessor is a man who has concrete evidence, he has his facts straight and is yet to be contradicted, because he was a founding father of the biggest party that should rule Nigeria for 100years and harness for themselves and families, all its milk and honey! These party men and women have forgotten that, ‘The earth is the LORD’S and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it…..’; and that all Deeds of Right are in His possession, because they are blinded to divine truths but very alive to the evil principle of ‘divide and rule’. Let it be known to all who are down-trodden, that they have the Creator of the universe as their Defender and our counsel therefore is that we all renew our efforts to trust the LORD and be patient for His judgment upon the wicked. The LORD says we should neither fret nor be envious of evil people who take delight in wrong-doings, for they are like the grass or the green plants of the fields; they will soon be cut off. Who will inherit the land or live on to enjoy the blessings of the LORD in this nation? Will the wicked who plot, scheme, default in promises and agreements, use raw power and ‘Zombie’ strategies to manipulate and intimidate to gain transitory advantages and thereby seem to flourish, have an upper hand? Fellow countrymen, please, trust absolutely in the LORD, delight yourself in Him and He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn and the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Amen. Those who hope in the LORD and trustfully look to Him to bestow life and its blessings as a gift will inherit the land of Nigeria; not those, who apart from God and by evil means, try to take possession of it and its wealth. A little while, and the wicked will be no more and though you look for them, they will not be found because, the LORD is raising a new crop of righteous men and women who will govern with divine wisdom and fulfil social contracts according to their covenants with the people. Those who wait on the LORD, who are humble, blameless, patriotic, generous upright and peaceable are God’s candidates for His new Nigeria. Change is imminent; and according to the late United States of America’s President, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, “Change is the law of life, only those who look to the past or the future miss it.” The greatest possession to cherish is good character and we unequivocally call on all Nigerians to embrace this virtue which is the foundation for integrity in order to be relevant in a new Nigeria of our dreams, where no citizen is an outcast. We have a role model in the Lord Jesus Christ, “…One life”, according to Bishop Matthew Simpson, “ that can be held up before the eyes of humanity as a perfect pattern!” Jesus Christ is the epitome of integrity; His lips never uttered unkind words or untruths, He is very humble and accommodating to the poor and the needy, His hands are open to embrace, both the sinner and the righteous without discriminating, He never failed a promise but went about touching lives positively. He has an urgent message for Nigerians, saying. “Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy-laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”[Matt.11:28-30]. If you have not accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, don’t miss this great opportunity as you pray this prayer: Lord Jesus; I confess that I am a sinner who needs to be saved through the grace of the New Testament of your Blood, shed on the Cross at Calvary; I renounce every sin in my life and accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive me and write my name in the Book of Life. Amen. If you prayed this prayer, you have been admitted into the family of sons and daughters of God, who are born-again. Congratulations. Remain faithful to God from now on so that you can spend your eternity with Him and the Lord Jesus Christ. Please look forward to more divine revelation in the next edition of Zion B-BC Newsletter as you share this with friends and remain blessed in the Lord.
