The incursion of the Nigerian Army into partisan politics on 15th June, 1966, through the very first coup in any part of Africa was a CURSE rather than a BLESSING because, the reasons adduced by the coupists for committing TREASON, are still very much with both the civilians and the military, 57 years on!

Tribalism, nepotism, corruption, avarice, egotism, self-aggrandizement, institutional impunity, disobedience to the rule of law, high-handedness, treasury-looting, ineptitude, nonchalance to official duties, disrespect to law-full authorities, civil disobedience, etc, continued from one military junta to another, in about ELEVENS MILITARY COUPS that took place in Nigeria within a space of about 30 years of the interregnum!  Has the military lost its much-cherished professional pride which it inherited from the British Colonial Masters and has crashed-landed like an EAGLE struggling with CHICKENS for "DAWA on an open field? Judging by the recent comments of General Theophilus Danjuma, former Chief of Staff, Nigerian Army/Minister of Defence, at the Taraba State University Convocation Ceremony, soldiers have become partisan and complicit in tribal conflicts to the detriment of their oath of office, allegiance to the Commander-in-Chief and by extension, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999! He urged Nigerians to defend themselves in the event of further attacks by gunmen! The old General has been cautioned by the Federal Government and we enjoin Nigerians to discountenance incitements of such nature because it is the constitutional duty of the government to defend the people!

When General Abdusalam Abubakar (rtd), handed over to an ex-military Head of State in the person of General Olusegun Obasanjo, in a change of baton, Obasanjo found himself in a very familiar terrain and the PDP Administration which he headed for two terms and which held sway for 16 consecutive years, was adjudged the worst calamity that befell the giant of Africa! Congo, Somalia, Libya, Egypt etc .are suffering similar fate!

Previous condemnations of bias and partisanship by the Nigerian Military by Governors and citizens of the Middle Belt - especially from 1st January, 2018, - when the herders/farmers clashes escalated in that region, and hundreds of innocent lives were lost, - were always controverted by the Military High Command, until General T. Y. Danjuma spoke out as an insider and an authority on the trending argument!

In the years preceding the 2015 General Elections, precisely, 2012-2014, human vultures from the PDP camp descended viciously on the Nigerian Treasury in an unprecedented manner and consumed all available funds (including foreign reserves/appropriations earmarked for prosecuting the insurgency in a most diabolical and atrocious manner), in a bid to ensure ex-President Ebele Jonathan's Third-Term Agenda in office! Global Watchdog, Transparency International (TI), had scored Nigeria very low from 1999 till date because of the multi-faceted attitude of institutional corruption which consecutive PDP administrations indulged in! "Big wigs" of the People's Democratic Party's (PDP), and their cronies suddenly became overnight portfolio contractors and were awarded dubious contracts worth billions of naira, even from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), with the succinct approval of the then President, according to Colonel Dambo Dasuki (rtd), who was the arrow head of that massive looting organized by the then presidency! IS IT NOT OBVIOUS THAT THE MILITARY GIVE BIRTH TO PDP?

In a list of alleged Treasury looters released by the Federal Government on Good Friday, UCHE SECONDUS, the recent Convention appointed controversial PDP Chairman, an indigene of Rivers State who was forced on national delegates with impunity against consensus candidates from the South West, where the "Chairmanship Slot" was initially zoned, was the first person who collected N200 million only, on 19th February, 2015, from ONSA! At different periods during the Yar 'Adua/Jonathan Administration, Uche acted in controversial circumstances as "Chairman" of the marauding party, now struggling to resurrect at all cost without attempting to make RESTITUTION for bastadizing Nigeria's economy and  for having collectively ganged up to loot the treasury for over one-and-a-half decades, 1999-2015!

LIST OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S ALLEGED TREASURY LOOTERS!
Others on the list are: (2) The then PDP Financial Secretary - who collected N600 million only, on 24th October, 2014, from ONSA. (3) Then National Publicity Secretary, Olisah Methu, presently on trial for allegedly collecting N1.4 billion from ONSA. (4) Dr. Raymond Dokpesi, Chairman of DAAR Communications, on trial for allegedly taking N2.1 billion from ONSA. (5) Former SSA to President Goodluck Jonathan. Dudafa Waaripamo-Owei, on trial over N830 million allegedly kept in accounts of four different companies. (6) Former President Jonathan's cousin, Robert Azibaola. On Thursday, 29th March, 2018, a Federal High Court ruled that he has a case to answer for allegedly collecting $40 million from the then ONSA. According to the Minister, some of the accused persons are seeking to plea-bargain on the charges against them to avoid legal proceedings!

On Thursday, 29th March, 2018, the incumbent PDP Publicity Secretary,  'Kola Ologbondiyan, challenged the ruling party to name the treasury looters in his party and in response, the above list which the Minister of Information and Culture said to be "a tip of the iceberg" was published in less than 24 hours!
Expectedly, the barefaced looters promptly denied all allegations and claimed that it was APC's Government that was corrupt instead! Whereas, APC has waged war against all looters – including the military! 

APOLOGY TO NIGERIANS BY UCHE SECONDUS ON BEHALF OF "REBRANDED PDP" 2018!
Since Uche was neither forth-coming nor was categorical on the reason(s), nature or scope of PDP's belated apology to Nigerians aside, "of impunity, imposition of candidates and other mistakes made while it was in power for up to 16 years", the Presidency advised Nigerians to be cautious of what it described as "the less-than-honest apology", and demanded that PDP returned all looted funds for starters!

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Information and Culture Minister, had earlier said that there were "heavy moral duties that go with apologies, if the culprit wants to be taken seriously", adding that PDP was desperate to recapture power because it no longer had "unhindered access to national resources for private uses"!

On his own part, Kola said that PDP was sorry for failing to stop All Progressives Party (APC), from winning the presidential elections in 2015, while Femi Fani-Kayode, one of the PDP members on trial for fraud and corruption to the tune of N886 million, opined that Uche should not have apologized at all because there was nothing to apologize for and that it was ill-conceived and unnecessary!

DOKPESI APOLOGISED ON BEHALF OF PDP IN 2015!
On Thursday, 12th November, 2015, at a PDP Rebranding Conference in Abuja, one of the alleged FG treasury looters, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi Chairman, and former Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of Da’ar Communications took time to apologize to all Nigerians to forgive the PDP for messing up Nigeria for 16 years of bad administration characterized by ineptitude and impunity of those he described as the garrison commanders of the Party!

Most importantly, Raymond Dokpesi, apologized to the nation for fielding Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in 2011 and 2015 against PDP’s policy of rotational presidency between the North and South! We were not surprised when the Party’s spokesman, Olisa Metuh, contradicted Dokpesi’s apologies whom he said made personal statements since he was neither a member of the National Executive Council (NEC), nor a member of the National Working Committee (NWC) adding that PDP had no apologies for anyone!

Dokpesi continued his lamentations over the failure of the PDP Governments of the past 16 years and concluded by prophesying that the “rebranded” PDP was not dead, would not die and would never die! “Who is he that saith, and it commeth to pass, when the LORD commandeth it not? [Lamentation.3:37].

IBRAHIM MANTU CONFESSES TO PDP'S RIGGING OF PAST ELECTIONS!
"Born-again" former Deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Mantu, says PDP was sorry for bad governance, institutional impunity and CONFESSED ON CHANNELS TV HARD COPY PROGRAMME ON GOOD FRIDAY that he had helped PDP to RIG ELECTIONS IN THE PAST by bribing INEC and security officials to look the other way!
WE STILL RECOMMEND THAT A BRAND NEW CONSTITUTION WILL TAKE CARE OF NIGERIAN POLITICAL IMBROGLIO VIZ. RESTRUCTURING, TRUE FEDERALISM, RESOURCE CONTROL, DERIVATION PRINCIPLES ETC,

IF SUSPECTS ARE MADE TO PROVE THEIR INNOCENCE INSTEAD OF BEING REGARDED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVED GUILTY BY A COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION, AS CONTAINED IN THE PRESENT 1999 FEDERAL CONSTITUTION, THEN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM CAN BE FAST-TRACKED HENCEFORTH TO DISPENSE JUSTICE FOR ALL AND SUNDRY WITHOUT UNNECESSARY DELAYS!

ALL THE LOOTED FUNDS MUST BE RECOVERED AT ALL COST BY APC! THE EXECUTIVE AND THE JUDICIARY MUST CO-OPERATE TO SHAME THESE CRIMINAL BRAGGARTS! NIGERIA'S TALAKAWAS HAVE SUFFERED FOR TOO LONG PLEASE!

Breaking News! As at the time of this publication, a list of 22 other looters, was released by the Federal Government! Maybe, PDP apologists would take a breather for once!
