TINUBU MUST NOT BE AN INGRATE TO THE NIGERIAN ELECTORATE!

A Publication of the Zion Faith Bible-Believing Church Kpeyegyi Abuja Nigeria.  {Vol. 12. NO 517. 9th July, 2023.} “…ONLY The Truth, Will Set You Free! (John.8:32).  PRAY & FAST EVERY WEDNESDAY TO STOP BLOODSHED IN NIGERIA!

TINUBU MUST NOT BE AN INGRATE TO THE NIGERIAN ELECTORATE!

Patriotic Nigerians displayed unbiased religious maturity during the 2023 Presidential Elections in spite of Tinubu's arrogant choice of a Muslim partner as Vice-President by voting convincingly for the All Progressives Congress (APC), political party which produced him as candidate. If the Christian Electorate had voted for the Labor Party Candidate, the table would have turned to the opposite direction!

But Tinubu had shown ingratitude to the entire Citizens from inauguration through unguarded policy pronouncements to further turn the battered economy upside down having put the cart before the horse!

He has abused the Divine favour by adding to the Citizens travails and sticking to the unpopular money-gulping, outrageous and dollar-consuming presidential system which has internationally indexed Nigeria into the WORST BORROWER NATION OF THE WORLD!
Before BUHARI departed ASO ROCK Nigeria's debt burden had risen to NGN46.25 trillion naira according to the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics (NBS)! The borrowing spree and indebtedness to all the nations of the world increased from 2015 and spread across the eight-year tenure of the old soldier Muhammadu Buhari!  Eight Annual Deficit Budgets and a humongous 40-year debt repayment package were the LEGACIES bequeathed to the present and unborn generations of Nigerians!
Recurrent expenditures are still being funded with borrowed monies while the paltry salaries paid to some lucky workers are now spent on exorbitant transport fares!

FOOD INFLATION IS ASTRONOMICAL - RISES TO 24.61%

The average annual rate of food inflation for the twelve months ending April 2023 over the previous twelve months average was 23.22%, which was 4.35% points increase from the average annual rate of change recorded in April 2022 (18.88%).
Coupled with the high prices is a general infestation of tomatoes and other staple foods, tubers, grains etc.which were victims to quailer birds. Tomato purries are now in high demand but very unaffordable and out of the reach of the "Common Man"!
Cement 50 kg bag price has moved from NGN4500 naira to NGN4800 in the first week of July 2023 as transportation also skyrocketed to beyond 300% - both inter and intra state - PMS sold for between NGN800 naira per litre to NGN1, 000!

TINUBU'S SOLUTION IS ANCHORED ON
MULTIPLE TAXATION! IS THIS APC'S RENEWED HOPE?

All politicians should tighten their belts not  citizens. Government appointees and all elected politicians in the three tiers of government must not collect salaries and allowances until the petrol pump price is reversed to NGN195 naira and the country has migrated from presidency to unicameral system of government!

GROUNDNUT PYRAMIDS WILL SPRING UP AGAIN IF TINUBU CHAMPIONS SINGLE PARLIAMENT.

In the early years of Independence before politicians were chased out with military live bullets, Nigeria's economy was very buoyant.
As a new nation freshly independent of the British Colonial Masters, the country was introduced to A PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT as it obtained in the United Kingdom.
The country had three major regions the East, West and North and each had its autonomy. Agriculture was the dominant occupation on which they all thrived for Internally Generated Revenues and foreign exchange earnings.

Dominant crops included but not limited to beans, rice, sesame, cashew nuts, cassava, cocoa beans, groundnuts, gum arabic, kolanut, cocoa, maize (corn), melon, millet, palm kernels, palm oil, plantains, rice, rubber, sorghum, soybeans, bananas, and yam.
The campaign to dump the presidential system for a unicameral parliamentary system in Nigeria has gained momentum and it is now a bi-partisan movement that president 'Bola Tinubu most champion very quickly.

THIS IS HOW A PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM WORKS:

1) It is unicameral because it is one house known as "Cabinet form of Government" and also "Responsible Government.
2) It is cost-friendly and cost-effective because legislative arms need not campaign across the entire country but within their locality which is known as their constituencies.
3)  All successfully elected parliamentarians would appoint from among themselves the leader from the party with majority votes as Prime Minister (PM), who becomes Head of Government.
4)  In a unicameral legislature, there are two Executive posts, namely the P.M. (the real executive) and the ceremonial executive who serves as figurative Head of State and concurs with cabinet activities as obtained when Nigeria became a Republic between 1963 and 1966, during the administration of Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa and President Nnamdi Azikiwe.
5) Day-to-day cabinet proceedings are not run on the pages of newspapers or other media networks like in a presidential system. From time to time members of the public are briefed as appropriate by the Prime Minister or any delegated minister of the cabinet.
6) There is no specific tenure of office for the Prime Minister as it obtains in a presidential system. A Prime Minister remains in office for as long as he or she performs creditably! It could be one month or three; 1 year or 3 years as the case may be! It could even be 11 years like in the case of the "Iron Lady" the British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who served for 11 years ( 1979-1990)!
7)  The Executive P.M. who is a product of the LEGISLATIVE is responsible to the legislators, (his colleagues, the PARLIAMENTARIANS with whom he shares a collective responsibility of the whole Council because he and his Ministers are elected from among other members of Parliament (always addressed as the Lower House or in Britain as the House of Commons), because the so-called Common but very efficient citizens who dwell among their peers are able to run efficient and effective governments!  The PM is "Primus Interperes" (first among equals").
8) Towards the close of the last quarter of 2021 the British government encouraged its citizens to apply for loans of 1 digit interest (because it had a deep vault), to purchase personal houses while Nigeria's Presidential operators were even borrowing from dormant/dead citizens accounts to pay salaries of civil servants!
9) A Prime Minister could resign at any time for reasons of "non-performance" instead of being kicked out through "A VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE"!

LABOR IS COMPLICIT - DIVERTING ATTENTION TO ABSURDITIES!

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is set to engage President Bola Tinubu on the agitation for extension of civil servants’ retirement age to 65 years. The National President, NLC, Joe Ajaero said recently that labour was not relenting on the agitation, which started under the past administration instead of SHUTTING DOWN THE SYSTEM TO DEMAND FOR OUTRIGHT REVERSAL OF PMS PUMP PRICE ACROSS THE COUNTRY!

When Ahmed Tinubu, returned to Abuja from Lagos, 13 days after he left the nation’s capital on his first foreign trip, (20th June 2023), to attend the Summit on New Global Financing Pact in Paris, the capital of France where he still delegated his address to a subordinate, he signed four out of five Executive Orders 6th July 2023 after the Sallah holiday.
The four different Executive Orders, including the one that suspends the 2023 Finance Act deferring the date of its commencement from May 28, 2023 to September 1,2023.
He also signed three other Executive Orders, reversing the laws hastily signed by former President Muhammadu Buhari, towards the end of his administration!

All of these Bills have to do with surreptitious tax regimes which only the TALAKAWAS pay in Nigeria!
Tinubu has no solution to the confusion he has arbitrarily created except to support the campaign for a POPULAR REFERENDUM FOR THE CITIZENS TO VOTE " YES OR NO" FOR A UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY
SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT BETWEEN NOW AND OCTOBER 2023!
He has no other choice than this to salvage what remains of his already dented image!

[WATCH OUT FOR A NIGERIAN PRIME MINISTER – NOT A PRESIDENT IN 2023!]
