NIGERIA IS A BASKET FULL OF WATER NOT VICTUALS!
GgAll debates, dialogues, conversations, village square meetings even mass protests in respect of the state of the Nigerian Nation always point in one direction – THE DEARTH OF GOOD LEADERSHIP!
BUT die-hard apologists of the notorious Nigerian Politicians would always argue that the FOLLOWERSHIP should also share in various discrepancies of consecutive governments from the inception of independence from the colonial masters since 1960!
They claimed that the politicians were always under all manner of financial pressures in their various constituencies and had no option than to cut corners to meet such demands to remain relevant! And whereas, while they lavishly flaunted illicitly acquired wealth through loopholes of a faulty military constitution, only crumbs trickled down to the masses who supposedly voted them into political offices!
Of all World Citizens, Nigerians are the most RESILIENT BUT NEITHER STUPID NOR IMBECILES as the present Administration of President Bola Tinubu and his Cabal might want to assume!
THE GROUSE OF NIGERIAN CITIZENS AGAINST AN UNPREPARED & CLUELESS PRESIDENT!
* Tinubu had no right to unilaterally abrogate Petrol Subsidy on his inauguration day (29th May 2029), when he was yet to assume office or form a Cabinet!
*His declaration of Foreign Exchange merger and Naira Floating was disastrous and unethical to commerce, industry and economics in an unproductive nation dependent on TOTAL IMPORTATION OF FINISHED PRODUCTS AND SERVICES!
*That inspite of the catastrophic ripple effects of his very unthoughtful and unprofessional action on the people through unrestricted inflation on Farm Produce, colossal fall and depreciation of NAIRA and an exchange rate from N450 to an all-time N1,650 to $1USA Dollar, Mr. Tinubu failed to REVERSE the unfortunate actions!
*He failed to verbally address agitated #EndBadGovernance Protesters inspite of over a 3-week notice until about 21 innocent lives were lost across the country on the first day 1st August 2024!
*He could not admit that his inordinate ambition beclouded his composure but kept repeating that he was a REFORMER just as his predecessor claimed to be a DEMOCRAT!
*He described the vexatious sufferings as the pangs of CHILD BIRTH which would FIZZLE OUT SOON! IN 14 MONTHS HE WAS UNABLE TO ESTABLISH A CORRUPTION-FREE GOVERNMENT BECAUSE HE LACKED PEDIGREE!
The following Catastrophes still bedevil the country without solutions in sight!
1) Roundabout Porous Borders – free-for-all avenues for smuggling of all commodities – foods, vehicles, petroleum products etc, from Nigeria to ECOWAS, easy entry and exit for hardened criminals, bandits, terrorists etc;
2) Large scale OIL THEFT/BUNKERING & MINERAL RESOURCES PRODUCTS to oversea countries through ships/helicopters with succinct internal connivance of greedy and unpatriotic security personnel!
3) Election riggings – which are eventually settled at the courts and NOT through BALLOT BOXES!
4) Impunity by government institutions at the Federal and Sub-national levels.
5) Disobedience to “lawful” Court Orders!
6) The 15-year- long Boko Haram insurgency which began August 2009!
7) Renewed attacks and killings of SECURITY PERSONNEL – especially the Police and Army by daring non-state actors!
8) Ungoverned territories and spaces, where bandits reign supreme over unfortunate indigenes whose fundamental rights have been trampled upon in the North East/North West regions of the country!
9) Comatose Manufacturing Sector of the Economy.
10) Electricity is a luxury especially among the downtrodden masses BUT tariff for regular monthly darkness has skyrocketed to over 300 per cent!
11) Lack of renewable energy to mitigate environmental pollution – electric, compressed natural gas (CNG), etc, outside of fossil consumption – especially now that DANGOTE REFINERIES debuted fully on stream with the production and sale of PETROL (PMS) from Sunday 15th September 2024.
12) Multiple Taxation of the low-income earners due to lack of competent digital financial experts who were deliberately sidelined to ensure that the Rich could always circumvent payment of taxes!
13) Massive unemployment of able-bodied youths numbering about 33 million who now constitute IDLE HANDS available for crimes/criminalities and greedy politicians at ELECTIONS!
14) Over 13 million out – of -school children are still roaming the streets of Nigeria according to UNESCO due to persistent maladministration!
15) Bola Tinubu’s Capitalist Government prefers to BORROW MONEY to pay salaries and allowances to politicians, purchase N160 billion naira Presidential Jet and brand new foreign Special Utility Vehicles at N170 million naira each for all 469 Legislators of the National Assembly and for officials/political appointees of the Executive and Head of the various Parastatals!
Generation of phantom figures to falsify cost of goods and services for illicit gains in respect of virtually all transactions – especially in respect of Capital Expenditures!
16) Annual padding of Federal Government BUDGET APPROPRIATION FIGURES after official presentation by National Assembly (NASS) Legislators!
17) Appropriation of a whooping sum of N90 billion naira as SUBSIDY for 2024 Hajj Pilgrimage!
18) Completion of the Vice President’s Lodge at a cost of N 22billion naira!
NNPCL ROLE AS SOLE DISTRIBUTOR OF DANGOTE REFINERIES PMS IS SHROUDED IN SECRECY!
Dangote refinery to sell petrol to only NNPCL – FG
EXCERPTS FROM THE PUNCH REPORT – SATURDAY 14th September 2024.
*Federal Government has announced that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited will be the sole buyer of Premium Motors Spirit from Dangote Refinery.
*Interested marketers would have to buy the product from the national oil firm through its trading company.
*This was part of the agreement reached with the management of Dangote Refinery on the commercial terms for the supply of crude oil to the refinery and the off-taking and distribution of petrol and diesel from the facility.
*The latest development, however, contradicts NNPC’s claim in a statement early this month that it does not intend to be the sole distributor of petrol produced by the Dangote refinery.
*The directive also implies that the government can still control the pricing of the product as it would be based on the agreement between the government and the refinery.
Dangote refinery will commence the distribution of petrol to marketers on Sunday with an initial 25 million litres per day.
*All agreements have been put in place, and the loading of the first batch of PMS, as already announced by NNPC, will commence on Sunday, September 15, 2024. And from October 1, NNPC will commence the supply of crude oil to Dangote Refinery to be paid for in naira. In return, Dangote Refinery will supply PMS and diesel of equivalent value to the domestic market to be paid for in naira.
*But for now, PMS will only be sold to NNPC. NNPC will then sell to various marketers.
*Diesel will be sold in naira by Dangote Refinery to any interested off-taker. All associated regulatory costs -NPA, NIMASA, Federal Inland Revenue and all other Regulatory fees that are associated with this transaction will be paid in naira.
*On July 29, the federal executive council approved a proposal by President Bola Tinubu directing the NNPC to sell crude oil to the Dangote refinery and other refineries in naira.
*The minister said the move would also eliminate unnecessary transaction costs, and improve the availability of petroleum products in the country.
And whereas Dangote operates in A FREE ZONE AREA THAT SHOULD BE FREE FROM GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE!
THE TRUTH ABOUT SOLE DISTRIBUTORSHIP!
Just like the Sole Importation debacle, NNPCL will be the sole Custodian of ALL INFORMATION in respect of all transactions that would be difficult to FACT CHECK!
(a) During Importation “landing cost was N1, 200 naira… so pump price must increase!”
(b) Now in the era of Local Purchase, NNPCL could buy at N450 naira, declare cost as N800 naira, sell still at N950 naira …… and pocket all gains!
NNPCL has always been the most-corrupt Government institution – but the perpetrators should not forget that “EVERY LIE HAS A TERMINAL DATE”!
THIS FALSE MOVE WILL BE RESISTED! GOOD LEADERS WILL EMERGE AND NIGERIANS WILL NEVER BE SLAVES IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY!
