Unknown to most Nigerians, a new political party, formed by “eminent” citizens at home and the Diaspora, would soon have the blessings of the “Independent” National Electoral Commission [INEC], to participate in the 2015 General Elections. When they confederated from the four wings enclosing the “federating 36 States” of the country, we believed they were the divine panacea to all the social and economic ailments afflicting the nation and interceded in prayer and fasting for positive solutions to our myriad challenges! Nigerian National Conference Party, [NNCP, not the petro-dollar NNPC] which stormed the political terrain on 17th March, 2014, and made up of 492 founding fathers and mothers, representing a cross section of the formal and informal sectors of the economy, has concluded deliberations on ‘every grey area’ of the political, social and economic disagreements between the diverse population of over 250 Tribes of the more than 170 million people. Twenty(20) Committees were inaugurated as follows: Devolution of Power, Political Restructuring and Forms of Government; National Security, Environment, Politics and Governance; Law, Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Reform; Social Welfare, Transportation, Agriculture, Society, Labour and Sports; Public Service, Electoral Matters, Foreign Policy and Diaspora Matters; Land Tenure Matters and National Boundary; Trade and Investment; Energy, Religion, Public Finance and Revenue Generation; Science, Technology and Development; including Immigration; and were saddled with the onerous task to jettison the 1999 Military Constitution and produce an acceptable brand new one for, “WE, THE PEOPLE!” Blue prints submitted on specific crucial issues at the Party’s plenary include, but not limited to the following: Eighteen new states are to be created for the six geo-political zones, but in the spirit of reconciliation, equity and justice, an additional State was approved for the South East, to complement its existing FIVE. New States should be economically or potentially viable and should have human, natural and material resources and a minimum population of 1million people. The merger or collapse of present States structure to form Regions was rejected. Rotational presidency should be between the northern and southern regions and also among the six geo-political zones. State governorship position to be rotated among Senatorial Districts. Principle of zoning and rotation of elective offices of the Federal and State levels, should predicate on the basis of excellence, equity gender, justice and fairness. Decision should be reflected in the Electoral Act and Political Parties Constitutions. The single six-year tenure proposal for Presidents and Governors and a unicameral legislature was rejected. Reversion to the Old Anthem, sung between 1960 and 1978 which has a better symbol of unity, peace and prosperity. States Independent Electoral Commissions [SIEC], to be scrapped. Police establishments approved for States that so desire such. Removal of TOTAL SUBSIDY ON THE PREMIUM MOTOR SPIRIT, [PETROL], which should come into effect in three years time, must be preceded by the building of new Refineries. Similarly, the existing four refineries must be re-furbished to full capacity within the same stipulated period. Private Sector investors with approved licences should build Refineries within the stipulated 3years or automatically forfeit such licences to give opportunities for others. Legislators at the Federal and States levels should serve on part-time basis and their remunerations should be comparable to other arms of government. President should NOT appoint more than ONE MINISTER from each State instead of the present number of 42! All of the above recommendations were not FREE OF CHARGE [FOC], they have cost the organisers a whooping sum of over N7billion Naira and we are still counting the cost of OUT OF POCKET ALLOWANCES APART FROM ACCOMMODATION, FEEDING AND CONFERENCE TENURE EXTENSION! *Question One: Who organized this very expensive Five Month-Old Talk Shop? Answer: The ‘Money Bags!’ *Question Two: For whose benefits was it convened? Answer: The ‘Money Bags!’ *Question Three: Would there be any CRUMBS from the tables of the ‘Money Bags’ for the COMMON MAN of this ‘great nation’? Answer: We don’t think so! *Question Four: Why? Answer: Because the Common Man is named LAZARUS after the Biblical poverty-stricken beggar always seated for unstipulated years at the RICH MAN’S GATE, un-kept, ignored, un-noticed, un-fed and un-recognised until he died at the GATE and carried to HEAVEN BY THE ANGELS OF GOD! [Read Luke.16:19-31]! Question Five: What will the Organizers and the ‘Money Bags’ do with all these CONSENSUS? Answer: They will use them as SECOND TERM AGENDA PROPAGANDA for the CHIEF ORGANISER BECAUSE PARTY DELEGATES LACK SOVEREIGN POWER! Question Six: What will happen thereafter? Answer: Exactly what happened in EKITI recently! NNCP will merge with the Organisers, who would send the “SECURITY FORCES” to take care of next outings at OSUN AND 2015! Question Seven: Is that not ungodly? Will GOD allow such wickedness to go unpunished? Answer: Yes, such attitude is ungodly but GOD ALLOWS UNGODLY THINGS AT TIMES TO HAPPEN IN ORDER TO PROVE HIS GODLY VIRTUES! In the Biblical parable of, “The Wheat and Tares”, GOD said, “Let both grow together until harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, gather ye together, first the Tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the Wheat into my Barn.” [Matthew.13:24-30]. We can all remember that a lot global godly citizens questioned the rationale behind the investiture of the new party at the ELEVENTH HOUR, BUT THE CUSTODIAN OF THE EXCHEQUER SILENCED THEM WITH THE PETRO-DOLLAR HAVING BEEN ENCOURAGED BY THE VERY SENIOR SPECIAL ADVISER ON POLITICAL MATTERS TO “CARRY GO”! Some people believe that someone before this Group instituted a similar controversial Party at the eve of his departure and “got away with it”; but we beg to disagree! He did not get away with it because the Bible states that the Rich Man eventually died and was buried but opened his eyes inside the Hell Fire, burning with sulphur and brimstones. In great pains, he cried out to Father Abraham on whose bosom, LAZARUS then rested in Heaven, to spare him a DROP OF WATER FROM LAZARUS’ FINGER to quench the scorching pain on his tongue as he was tormented in the flame! The request was turned down for the simple reason that, “LEVELS HAVE CHANGED”! A gulf demarcated the TWO PARTIES from exchanging gifts, hospitality or pleasantries and as such, they had to maintain their new STATUS QUO! The Rich Man enjoyed to the fullest on EARTH while Lazarus suffered all forms of human degradation and in this Biblical story, told by the Lord Jesus Christ, Lazarus is still enjoying ETERNITY in Heaven while the Rich Man is languishing in the UNQUENCHABLE FIRE! He who has ear, let him hear what the SPIRIT is telling the faithful. HEAVEN AND HELL ARE REAL! Nigerian politicians are always quick to compare our presidential system of government with that of the United States but are very slow to grasp the modalities of the economy that give the United States the edge over other countries of the world! American economy is not supervised by POLITICAL ANIMALS as it obtains in Nigeria! It is managed by educated, intelligent and articulate professionals, and technocrats; HUMAN BEINGS who work with the fear of GOD on their minds at every step of duty to their nation! The levels of production, consumption and spending make the United States, through the most of the 20th century into the 21st, by far the largest economy the world has ever known, despite the fact that some other nations have far more people, land or other resources and its citizens also enjoy the highest material standards of living in the world! Most economists agree that the United States has a higher per capita income, based on the total value of goods and services that households consume. Today, the American prosperity has attracted world-wide attention and imitation as is the vogue among the Nigerian politicians! NCPP delegates say there was need to “reduce cost of governance of the presidential system” and simultaneously approved the creation of 18 more States! Do you see a CONTRADICTION? IF THE UNITED STATES HAD BEEN PRODIGAL IN HER 238 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE, THEY WOULD NOT REMAIN THE WORLD POWER IN THE 21ST CENTURY! The US Presidential system is not abused like its Nigerian counterpart in the areas of fiscal responsibility, moral principles and uprightness in all areas of governance and administration. We hope that it is not too late for those whose interest in Nigerian politics is only on how to steal and plunder like Satan and its cohorts! HELL AWAITS THOSE WOULD NOT REPENT!
