THESE POMPOUS SENATORS OF THE 8TH NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ARE ENEMIES OF THE NIGERIAN MASSES!

Why would anyone lament over the SIX-MONTH  suspension of Senator Ali Ndume, former majority leader representing Bornu, South, over unproven allegations against Senators Saraki and his godson, Dino Melaye? Have people forgotten so easily that the TRIO were the ARROWHEADS of Senate coupists who defiantly rejected Party's internal democratic plan of fair contests between interested candidates, but covetously and vexatiously installed themselves as principal officers for the hallowed chamber in connivance with the opposition party on 9th June, 2015, by despising the ruling Party's supremacy?

They believed then that their "victory" was the unfettered democratic CHANGE that the Electorate deserved, though Party's constitutional procedures and moral responsibility/decorum was shunned, rebuffed and thrown to the dogs for the inordinate ambition of a FEW senators! On the day of the "COUP", only 57 out of the 109 - which did not fulfil TWO-THIRDS MAJORITY QUORUM of the whole house, voted Saraki and his accomplices to assume positions as principal officers in which the 45 PDP minority members formed the bulk of voters! Who does not know that a house that is divided against itself will definitely fall? The imbroglio being witnessed within the rank and file of the Red Chamber now, is just a tip of the iceberg - the beginning of the end of Saraki and all the Senators who conspired to anoint him as their president has just begun!

Though the APC was predicated on democratic principles that stresses party supremacy and discipline, these ungrateful former PDP members who coasted to electoral victories on the platform of the APC, constituted themselves into the opposition with a view to truncate the Change mantra right from inception of the new government. They orchestrated a face-off with the Executive in the THIRD QUARTER of 2016 when they rejected the list of about 48 non-career ambassadorial nominees by President Muhammadu Buhari; rejected the Executive Mid-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), document which Ali Ndume, as the then Senate Leader described as an "EMPTY DOCUMENT"; rejected US$ 29.9 foreign loan request by Mr. President meant to cushion the biting effects of the economic recession; refused to confirm Mr. Ibrahim Magu as the substantive Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Chairman; accused Secretary to Federal Government, (SGF), of misappropriating Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), funds and demanded for his immediate removal from office!

Although the APC has majority of 67 members in the Red Chambers, Saraki was able to manipulate other senators on 29th March, 2017 to do his bidding by refusing confirmation of the 27 Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECS), recently forwarded to the Senate by the President until Ibrahim Magu was removed as Acting EFCC Chairman!

SARAKI AND THE COUPISTS ARE ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE!
Saraki and his cohorts who are fronting for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cannot throw Nigeria into any turmoil because of their greed and they cannot as SERVANTS OF THE MASSES CONSTITUTE THEMSELVES INTO MASTERS, BECAUSE NIGERIANS ARE NOT THEIR PREYS!
The Word of GOD states: "Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. "(Isa 49:24:26.KJV) Whoever sows the WIND shall surely reap the WHIRLWIND! These set of human PREDATORS have no empathy for the millions of poverty-stricken Nigerians whom they always claimed "voted" them to the positions of legislators and to whom they would return in 2019, to canvass for fresh votes in order to continue their monetary exploits which is shrouded in SECRECY, and in self aggrandizement! Ali Ndume got his own dose of the coupists medicine on Wednesday, 29th March, 2017! NEXT it will be Saraki, Dino Melaye, Ekweremadu, etc, WHO ORGANIZED 84 IDLE SENATORS TO FLOCK after 'Bukola Saraki, with impunity to the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), on solidarity grounds to answer to charges of fraudulent declaration of assets and shamelessly collected illegal "sitting allowances" thereafter!

SARAKI DOES NOT WANT TO BE JUDGED BUT WANTS TO SIT IN JUDGEMENT OVER OTHERS!
We recall that on Friday 5th February, 2016, the Apex Supreme Court's Seven-Man Panel, presided over by the then Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, unanimously ruled in its judgement that Saraki's appeal against the jurisdiction of the CCT and the competence of the charges, lacked merit. The now incumbent Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, who delivered the lead judgement, dismissed all Saraki's seven grounds of appeal, affirming that the charges instituted against him were valid and that the tribunal was validly constituted with requisite jurisdiction to try him! Saraki with his lawyers still create impediments to slow down quick dispensation of justice while he sat tight as Senate President to judge over the affairs of "lesser mortals", because he is presumed innocent until the contrary is proved by a competent court of jurisdiction! God's judgement is closer that anyone may think!

In its TWO YEARS of controversial lifespan, the Senators have been embroiled in petty squabbles with not only the Executive/Judiciary, but with virtually anyone who castigated them as a bunch of clueless nicompoops who forced themselves into positions of authority just because of the lucre and juicy pecks of an EXTRAVAGANT PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM of government as adopted in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

When Professor Itse Sagay (SAN), Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, described the Senate as "childish and irresponsible", for suspending the confirmation of 27 INEC Commissioners for two weeks until Magu was removed as EFCC Chairman, he was promptly summoned to be COURT MARTIALED to answer to charges of insubordination; but the learned Professor of Law said they had no constitutional power to summon him, but advised them to consult their lawyers for clarification of Sections 88 and 89, of the 1999 Constitution in respect of their oversight functions! And at another forum, President Buhari's Personal Assistant on Social Media, Mrs. Lauretta Onochie, on Wednesday 29th March, 2017, chided the Senators over their current rift with the Executive and called them, "self-serving trade union that work with blackmail"! We are yet to hear of her summons to appear before the overlords and tin gods of Nigeria's 21st Century - politics; maybe when they resume plenary, A WARRANT OF ARREST would be issued to whip her into line! An African adage says that the tilted luggage on the head of a man with crooked legs, derived its near-crashing position from the base!

SHOULD THE 8TH NASS SENATORS STILL CLAIM CONSTITUTIONAL RELEVANCE WITH ATTITUDINAL ABSURDITIES?
1. From the tlme Saraki was fingered for fraud in the declaration of his assets between 2003-2011 and was dragged before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), to answer to the allegations, he drew a BATTLE LINE with his accomplices (majority of who were guilty of similar crimes), against the Executive, as if the latter's Judicial Agency had no constitutional right to prosecute him!
2. At inception, APC had marginal majority in the Red Chambers, but Saraki drew his destructive strength from opposition conspirators who voted for him to become Senate President and got the Deputy slot as compensation in a very unusual scenario for a ruling Party.
3. Also from inception, over half of the 109 legislators were under EFCC investigations on matters that bordered on fraud and embezzlement of public funds during their previous appointments - especially former PDP ex-governors - who have now jumped ship to APC for "soft landings"!
4. In spite of public criticisms and protests, these selfish Senators bought 109 exotic state-of- the-art brand new Jeeps or Special Utility Vehicles (SUVs), to assuage their egos and opulence in 2016 and in March 2017, a N280 million bullet- proof Land Rover was imported to boost the fleet of the Senate President - though he claimed he was not involved in the alleged importation!
5. Most of this 8th Assembly Senators are so arrogant but ignorant, very proud, puffy and always behave larger than life in their comportment and nasty attitude as they often disrespected government executives of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), under the guise of executing OVERSIGHT FUNCTIONS with legislative immunity!

PUBLIC REACTIONS TO THE SENATORS BLUFF!
Several pressure groups and political commentators have criticised the excesses of the Senators who though, have "conflict of interests", during oversight functions, had displayed impunity instead of excusing themselves from such duties (like in the case of the screening of Ibrahim Magu), and have called for public protests/rallies simultaneously in Lagos and Abuja, from Monday 3rd April, 2017. Spearheading the mass rallies against the Senators is the group called "Stand Up for Nigeria" (SUN), which says that, "it would reclaim the SENATE from Saraki and his boys and return it to the people of Nigeria."
The group which is made up of over 99 Civil Society Organisations; 70 Freelance Activists and 100 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), condemned the suspension of Ali Ndume, but insisted that Senate should carry out its constitutional mandate to screen and confirm the 27 Electoral  Commissioners without further delay!
We want to believe that these illicit money drunk law makers would give peace a chance because it is only a dog that would get lost that fails to honour the hunters whistle! A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE ONES AMONG THEM!
