HOW NOT TO BE A NIGERIAN PRESIDENT: CHRIS NGIGE AS A TYPICAL GAME PLAYER!

The three-pronged manifesto of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), of Nigeria from 2015 to date has not changed.
1) Elimination of threat to national security through the escalating Boko Haram insurgency which began in 2009, herdsmen/farmers bloody clashes over the contentious grazing routes, banditry and kidnappings;
2) War against endemic corruption which had become a social norm at all levels of government, private sector and the grassroots; and
3) Deliberate move to tackle the ailing economy through diversification and resuscitate confidence among all citizens.
Opinion polls across Nigeria and the Diaspora as at the close of the seventh year of Major General Muhammadu Buhari in the seat of power is less than 10% of achievements in all sectors – a drop of water in the ocean!
It was believed that the president took his time in 2015 for almost 6 months before choosing his cabinet because he wanted to put the best team on board. In fact among his ministers whom he believed performed creditably well were also appointed to serve in his second term in office from 2019 to date.
Sixty-nine-year-old medical doctor, Chris Nwabueze Ngige erstwhile Minister of Labour and Employment was one of the two-term minister of the Buhari Administration from 2015 and now a Presidential aspirant who believed that he could take over from President Buhari after his second term in office next year.
But he has chickened out from the race having realised that he was a loser from the starting point - a mere appendage among 30 determined and very serious patriotic contenders - judging from his antecedents and pedigree. He had never won an election without power brokers!

MEMORY LANE: ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION IN 2003!

In 2003, Ngige as a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), candidate for the Anambra governorship election knew that he stood no chance of winning without the support of the godfather of Anambra politics (Chief Chris UBA), who insisted that they must visit the famous OKIJA SHRINE to perfect the covenant of a monthly monetary transfer from State Government treasury to him as benefactor!
Although Chris Ngige “won” the election as planned, he however RENEGED the oath of agreement, the bubble burst and the whole world was entertained to the OKIJA Saga published by Uba with back-up pictures of both men dressed in half-naked shrine regalia within the confines of the deity!
A botched attempt was made to take him out of government house through abduction organised in connivance with police authorities! He served less than one term and was manipulated out of office and was unable to win subsequent elections to the anambra government house ever since.
Ngige served as Senator representing Anambra Central Constituency from April 2011 to June 2015, before his appointment as cabinet minister in Buhari’s APC Government from 11th November 2015 to 2022!

NGIGE'S WITHDRAWAL FROM 2023 PRESIDENTIAL RACE!

In a media interview Dr Chris Ngige was asked if the NGN100 million naira to purchase the express of interest/nomination forms was not too exorbitant for a ruling party which has declared war on corruption and he answered in the affirmative that he believed or thought that it should have been NGN 50 million naira.
However he said that the pressure groups and political associates who were sponsoring him and urging him to contest for the highest office in Nigeria would run around and make up for the increase and true to his word on Tuesday 19th April 2022 he publicly declared his interest to contest having paid the said amount!
But in a political somersault Ngige on 13th May 2022, publicly withdrew from the 2023 presidential election having claimed to have discussed with Mr President and also consulted widely with his family, constituents, supporters and well-wishers.
He further said that he would not participate any further in any of the internal party processes of the said election starting with the primary adding that he took the momentous decision firstly in the overall interest of the Nation in order to enable him concentrate on his job and assist the president and the government to weather the difficult last lap in the life of the administration and secondly for other family reasons.

VALEDICTORY SESSION FOR NGIGE AND NINE OTHER MINISTERS WHO SOUGHT FOR ELECTIVE POLITICAL OFFICES!

Dr. Ngige was one of the exiting ministers at the valedictory meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa on Friday 13th May 2022 but in a twist of events he declared that he was no longer interested in the presidential race!
Political analysts punctured the excuses and the assumptions which Ngige has claimed for withdrawing from the presidential primaries which will be coming up at the end of May 2022 for the following reasons:
On his own volition he purchased the forms, collected and filled them according to one of his numerous statements
Having filled the forms he claims not to have submitted them yet.
APC party guidelines requested for all filled forms to be submitted on Tuesday 17th May 2022.

He also claimed that he had not resigned his position as Minister of Labour and productivity and will be resuming back at his desk.
If he had filled the forms as he claimed Ngige would not be entitled to a refund of the NGN100 million naira which he paid into his party’s coffers.
From the onset of his political career according to his pedigree it had all been desperate drive to make monies from politics instead of his profession as a medical doctor
Before he opted to vie for the highest office in the land Ngige was entangled with the Association of Universities Staff Union (ASUU), strike which was not resolved for over TWELVE WEEKS but he cared less AND now he intends to return to the same job he could not cope with!
CONCLUSIONS: Ngige should be tried for ANTI-PARTY activities and be investigated by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to ascertain hid donation claim alongside other aspirants and NEVER re-absorbed!
The same treatment should be meted to Abubakar Malami, the erstwhile Minister of Justice and Attorney General for the Federation and all others who have indicated intention to withdraw from the race.

FROM ALL INDICATIONS THE ENTIRE PROCESS OF VYING FOR POLITICAL OFFICES IN A PRESIDENCY SUCH AS PRACTICED IN NIGERIA HAS DEFINITELY CREATED MORE CONFUSION THAN SOLUTIONS BECAUSE OF HUGE MONETIZATION OF THE ENTIRE PROCESS!
Like the TOWER OF BABEL all the monetary structures which have been put up for the highest bidders to further keep Nigerians in BONDAGE WILL ALL CRASH AND BE REPLACED WITH A BRAND NEW UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION THAT WILL PRODUCE A PRIME MINISTER FOR NIGERIA IN 2023 AND NEVER A PRESIDENT AGAIN!

[WATCH OUT FOR A NIGERIAN PRIME MINISTER – NOT A PRESIDENT IN 2023!]

If you have not accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, don’t miss this great opportunity as you pray this prayer: Lord Jesus; I confess that I am a sinner who needs to be saved through the grace of the New Testament of your Blood, shed on the Cross at Calvary; I renounce every sin in my life and accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive me and write my name in the Book of Life. Amen. If you prayed this prayer, you have been admitted into the family of sons and daughters of God, who are born-again. Congratulations.
