[NGN9.09 Trillion Naira Severance Package For Legislators!]
General elections will be held in Nigeria on 16th January 2027 to elect the President and Vice President, members of the Senate and House of Representatives, State Governors, and members of the House of Assembly.
Incumbent President Bola Tinubu has made his intentions known to run for a 2nd term under the All Progressives Congress. (APC) ticket.
Win or lose, each Legislator would be richer with at least NGN.19.38 billion naira from the padding windfall if the loot is equally shared!
There could be no better time now in Nigeria than being loyal to the Tinubu’s Mandate which has created more POLITICAL BILLIONAIRES than any country of the world through unbridled leadership corruption!
In less than Three Years all Three Tiers have formed a formidable alliance that could boast of winning all Elections – especially when Nigeria’s political terrain has virtually metamorphosed into A ONE-PARTY STATE!
Unfortunately this had been the pattern of massive corruption from 2015 handed over to multi billionaire Ahmed Tinubu by late Muhammadu Buhari, a pseudo Messiah who never cared about TALAKAWAS (poorest of the poor), although they massively voted him to office on his FOURTH ATTEMPT!
Nigerians cannot easily forget 8TH ASSEMBLY LEGISLATOR ABDULMUMIN JIBRIN, Chairman, Committee on Appropriation, House of Representatives, who exposed ANNUAL BUDGET PADDING in very detailed format that itemized what each ranking member from Mr. Speaker to the Chief Whip collected through figures inflation!
According to Wikipedia, Speaker Hon. Yakubu Dogara appointed Abdulmumin as the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation a position he held from 2015 until his resignation in 2016.
A few months after his resignation, he was suspended by Dogara due to a scandal in which he accused the leadership of the Green Chamber of padding the annual budget and driving corruption.
The suspension lasted for one legislative year, ending in March 2018 after Jibrin reportedly apologized to the House.
Mallam Jibrin is still very much alive but virtually an invisible New Nigeria People Party (NNPP) Member representing Kano- Constituency Kiru /Bebeji Kano State, Nigeria but in 33 months of the Tinubu’s Administration had sat regularly in the House without making contributions!
However, recent unconfirmed media reports state that Jibrin has been expelled from NNPP for engaging in anti-party activities.
He was accused of having been caught hobnobbing severally with President Tinubu in September 2025.
GENESIS OF THE 2026 OIL WINDFALL BOOTY BUDGET!
The 10th National Assembly (NASS), approved ₦68.32 trillion budget for the 2026 fiscal year, significantly higher than the initial ₦58.47 trillion proposal, in the midst of astronomical Crude Oil Price Increase precipitated through ongoing US-ISRAEL -IRAN WAR which began on 28th February 2026 and may still progress into few more weeks according to President Donald Trump!
Iran is accused by both US and Israel of pillaging massive URANIUM ENRICHMENT for the purpose of destabilizing World Peace!
Bola Tinubu’s 2026 Budget, fourth in a row of unexecuted budgets from 2023, will according to the drafters focus on infrastructure, security, and economic revitalization.
Christened: “2026 BUDGET OF CONSOLIDATION, RENEWED RESILIENCE AND SHARED PROSPERITY,” the drafters claim it is focused to shift from consumption to long-term investment.
*The budget targets the sum of NGN32.29 trillion for Capital projects and NGN15.81 trillion for DEBT SERVICING, a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate of 4.28% and a Crude Oil benchmark at USD$64.85 while international price hit the roof at over USD$100 dollars!
*Of the total NGN68.323 trillion Budget, the sum of ₦32.287 trillion (about 50% of the total budget), will be devoted to Capital Expenditure to prioritize infrastructure development while Recurrent Non-Debt Expenditure gulps NGN16.427 trillion.
*Statutory Transfers stand at NGN4.799 trillion while Oil Production is pegged at 1.84 million barrels per day and Exchange Rate is NGN1,400 to USD$1dollar.
However, the National Assembly increased the President’s proposal of NGN68.323 with ₦9.09 trillion “to address critical legacy commitments and 2027 election preparation!”
PERENNIAL ANNUAL DEBT SERVICE PROFILE!
With an annual high debt service costs (roughly 23% of total expenditure), then an ambitious Internally Generated Revenue target of NGN500 billion naira forecast is reduced to mere paperwork and therefore questions about generation capacity remains a recurring decimal in a very Corrupt Administration of The Alhaji!
And whereas several State Governors have gone above the Federal estimated IGR and are determined to improve their economic bases but are those efforts for the democratic dividends or personal aggrandizement?
TINUBU’S STRATEGIC IMPORVERISATION OF THE MASSES HAS PLAYED OUT IN RICE PALLIATIVES FOR STOMACH INFRASTRUCTURE! INTERESTED CHURCH ORGANISATION VOTES WERE ALSO CANVASSED IN THIS MANNER FOR THE UPCOMING 2027 ELECTIONS!
CONCLUSION.
Alhaji Tinubu had 15 years (2007- 2023), to declare that it was his turn for the transient office of presidency BUT in Three Years of globetrotting courtesy of CITIZENS SWEAT AND BLOOD – he would rather die in office than miss a SECOND TERM!
To him and his OLIGARCHY everything is CAST IN STONE – with 31 APC State Governors and all Billionaire Legislators on his side!
PARABLE OF THE RICH FOOL! (LUKE 12:13–21).
This teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ is a warning against greed and materialism, highlighting the folly of prioritizing earthly wealth over a relationship with God.
It tells of a man whose successful harvest leads him to build bigger barns to hoard his wealth, only to die unexpectedly on the night of his gloating!
The rich farmer experienced bumper crop harvests and instead of sharing the surplus, he decides to hoard it, live in luxury, eat, wine and be merry!
BUT GOD CALLS HIM “FOOL”!
The parable condemns an inordinate desire for wealth, not wealth itself and highlights the foolishness of trying to secure one’s life through possessions, which are temporary.
WHAT LEGACY WILL TINUBU LEAVE BEHIND THROUGH DISOBEDIENCE?
His Divine Mandate was to announce plans to Abrogate the Nigeria’s Very Expensive Presidential and replace it with:
A ONE HOUSE INEXPENSIVE PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT THAT WILL MAKE THE PRIME MINISTER SIT AND WORK WITH THE OPPOSITION AS A TEAM!
