NO MORE BLAME GAMES: NIGERIANS MUST UNITE TO CRUSH THE BANDITS!

[IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 21ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE ZFB-BC - 1998-2019]

"In Ra'mah was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Ra'chel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not."
Why did Ra'chel weep uncontrollably? Because there was a slaughter in Bethlehem during the reign of King He'rod of Ju-dae'a, Second Century AD, as recorded in Matthew 2:18, which confirmed the prophecy by Jeremiah who lived in the land between 625BC-586BC.
This biblical prophecy by Prophet Jeremiah was re-enacted in Abuja on 6th April, 2019, by distinguished broadcast journalist and writer, KADARIA AHMED, who lent her voice to condemn the uncontrollably and incessant killings of her people in Zamfara State, during a protest to the State House, Aso Rock, Abuja. Kadaria described the two-term outgoing governor of the State, Abdulazeez / Yari, as the most useless governor in Nigeria's history! She called on President Muhammadu Buhari as the Commander-In Chief of the Armed Forces to stop the killings/kidnappings and direct security personnel to rise above the vexatious and unacceptable laxities in the overall security architecture!

Concerned Nigerians in the UK, also protested at the Nigerian High Commission, London, to express their disgust, anger and displeasure over the senseless killings in Zamfara and across the country in general and handed over a letter for onward delivery to President Buhari. Conservative statistics has revealed that in the last FIVE years, 2014-2019, over 3,000 persons were killed in Zamfara which shares border with the country of Niger, more than 10,000 displaced, while properties worth several billions of naira, destroyed!
Like, Lady Oby Ekwesili, who has gone on sabbatical after an unsuccessful attempt to unsit President Muhammadu Buhari in the just concluded presidential race, Kadaria, a foremost compatriot was consumed with much agony for the outrageous carnage among her people and had to let off steam of pain, anger and anguish on the bad administration of the Zamfara Government and by extension an indictment on the Federal Government and security agencies!

BANDITRY AND ILLEGAL MINING IN ZAMFARA!
It is believed that foreign mercenaries operating alongside local bandits were being sponsored by some powerful people whose major interest was to exploit the gold deposits in Zamfara to their advantage and  the poor dwellers whose ancestral homes fall within the illegal mining sites always paid the ultimate price of death whenever they struck!
Until very recently when the Federal Government banned all manner of solid mineral mining in Zamfara State, past and current administrators in the North West State pretended as if there was no link between the crime of banditry and illegal mining since the armed attacks could not be traced to religious nor tribal upheavals! It has been alleged that a lot of people among the elites also enjoyed pecuniary gains from the illicit mineral pits apart from the bandits - accusing fingers are pointing in the direction of traditional rulers who had promptly denied.
In view of almost 20 years of social neglect by consecutive administrators of Zamfara since 1999, the education and health sectors of the State had virtually gone comatose. Its child/maternal mortality ratio is about the worst because Zamfara can boast of only 23 medical doctors spread among the 24-State-owned hospitals, while hundreds of children die annually due to Lead poisoning as they were also exposed to illegal mining! Two term out-going Governor Abdulazeez Yari, would leave behind for his successor' dilapidated school buildings and Qur'anic schools that hold classes under the trees!

PMB IS THE SADDEST PRESIDENT IN THE WORLD!
Zamfara State is one of the states in the crisis-prone areas: others are Kaduna, Plateau, Benue Taraba, Katsina, Bornu, Yobe, Adamawa; where mindless killings and reprisals occurred at regular intervals! President Buhari, is not the only one who is sad, all Nigerian compatriots are equally sad and are ready to co-operate with government at all levels to bring the atrocities to a terminal end in no time!

COMPATRIOTS ARE MORE IN NUMBER THAN THE BANDITS!
We have no doubt in our minds that the security forces are overstretched, overwhelmed, flagabasted!! But with concerted efforts by the masses, through intelligence gathering, community policing, vigilante groups etc, bandits, terrorists, insurgents, kidnappers and their ilk’s can be contained and thrown into prisons for life!
The Word of God says that, one shall chase a thousand and two shall chase Ten thousand. Have we ever thought that our national SINS as a people had been very responsible for our present travails?
Why is it very difficult for some people to factor God into their lives and obey His commandments? SHEDDING OF HUMAN BLOOD IS A GRIEVOUS SIN BEFORE GOD, but the rebellious man gives no hoot!
World population is being depleted on daily basis not through natural disasters but through man's inhumanity against man and bestiality - contrary to the divine command which states that man should be fruitful, multiply, subdue and have dominion over the earth.

THE BANDITS ARE HUMAN AND VISIBLE - THE ANGELS OF THE LORD ARE SPIRITS AND INVISIBLE!
We urgently need divine intervention through COLLECTIVE REPENTANCE. The Word of God states: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.’’ (2Chron 7:14). When our sins are forgiven, our collective prayers will be answered and all those who are troubling Nigeria would be rendered incapacitated by the thousands and thousands of God's Angels and peace will surely return to this blessed nation!

LET'S TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING DEDUCTIONS FOR MORE SOLUTIONS!
The assets of any nation are its people - workforce. The importance of human capital development cannot be over emphasised.
Moral upbringing of Godly children is a priority for every developing nation.
Compulsory education of youths in civic responsibility duties according to constitutional provisions.
Constitutional provisions of government's contractual responsibilities to the people - gainful employments plus social amenities/infrastructures; affordable housing facilities, motorable roads, portable water, free health-care facilities for a large percentage of the low-income groups and education opportunities for the youths from kindergarten to at least Senior Secondary School (SSS) level etc, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY - A VERY COMPREHENSIVE SECURITY ARCHITECTURE ACROSS THE NATION AND TOTAL WAR AGAINST INSTITUTIONAL CORRUPTION AT ALL LEVELS!
Comprehensive diversification of the economy from Oil to Agriculture, Solid minerals, Tourism, Entertainment/Films Industries etc.
Inter-Agency rivalries MUST stop for the nation to build STRONG INSTITUTIONS in order to combat crimes and criminalities. MORE DRONES AND CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION (CCTV), CAMERAS MUST BE FURTHER DEPLOYED TO ALL STATES TO SOLVE CRIMES.
Security agencies should be constantly trained, re-retrained and further equipped with sophisticated and modern equipments for better performances, while more recruitment should be carried out on annual basis to increase manpower statistics.
All able-bodied Nigerians should be empowered through the various Special Intervention Programmes (SIPs), and also through encouragement to get engaged in agriculture, poultry and animal husbandry.
ARMING THE POPULACE WITH GUNS AND RIFLES FOR SELF-DEFENCE IS NOT AN OPTION FOR COMBATING BANDITRY AND VIOLENCE IN NIGERIA!
Nigerians must shun all forms of tribalism, nepotism, religious bigotry, separatism, and all forms of divisive tendencies but be united in diversity. We have no other country we can call our own except Nigeria. "THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM." (Proverb 9:10).
